A mixed experience - definitely some great and some pretty disappointing. The best parts for us were: 1) Nice breakfast. 2) Very clean room and hotel. 3) Reasonable fitness room for a hotel this size. 4) Many of the staff very helpful and friendly. 5) Beds were comfortable, and we had a suite with plenty of room. The disappointing things were: 1) While the kitchen had a nice frig and decent microwave and a Keurig, there were no kitchenware items at all. Also, no paper towels, no dish towels, no dish soap, and no waste basket. Also, lighting in the kitchen was terrible. We chose this hotel specifically because we wanted a kitchen but we could not cook anything since all the cabinets had nothing in them. 2) There were a few items that did not work well - microwave door was loose and nearly fell off, a couple of the doors in the room did not stay closed - like the one between the bedroom and the living room. That was a problem since we got the suite because one of us is an early to bed person, and the other is a late riser in the morning. So, not horrible, but in our 2 days there, definitely could be better. Expected better from HIX.

It's a motel. We stopped overnight on a long drive. The rooms were clean and smelled great. The lobby was clean and maintained. The beds were comfortable. Overall great stop for a night. The front desk lady wasn't the friendliest but it was late at night. The real neagtive was there was a group of 7 or 8 people driking outside. Then around the corner another group of 3 doing the same. They were loud and with all rooms having a front wall window the noose drifts in. The groups were obviously work groups staying at the hotel mayne construction idk but thats not really the hotels fault though itd be ni e if they'd been requested to quiet down or go to their rooms. We also woke up by kids in the morning so the noise drifting in your room is probably an issue no matter what. We would stay as a one night stop agaim but not an extended stay.

Location is great. Staff wonderful. Breakfast was okay. Certain things like juice and oatmeal were missing. Figured it was seasonal. Fitness center and hot tub in room awesome. The reason i gave a two instead of five boils down to the fact that the restroom was either skipped during cleaning or someone used it before we got to the room. We put all these little hints together: 1) The toilet seat was in an upright position. My husband had not gone in and i figured it was a strange way to leave after cleaning. 2) there was only one set of towels.which the front desk gave us another set, no problem 3)we discovered the hand soap that appeared to be in a wrap was infact opened and still wet....eww! 4) no lotions, shampoo, you know , all the compliments were gone too. This is when we realized that someone had been in there or it had been skipped in the cleaning. I immediately checked around the hottub because it was the main reason we wanted the room. It was our honeymoon. All appeared okay. But we still kinda had a creepy feeling that the room wasn't cleaned completely. The rest of the room did appear okay. We had already gone to the front desk about the towels and the soap and they were immediately replaced but decided we would just voice our concerns of cleanliness on review. You can bet the next time I check into any comfort inn or choice hotel that I'll be checking the restroom first! That was just nasty and really left us with a bad memory on a special trip

When traveling to or through Cave City, I highly recommend a stay at this place! I was very impressed. Newly renovated, immaculately clean, this hotel is managed efficiently with gracious warmth. The hotel inviting, the staff welcoming! Management pleasantly welcomes guests as if he has known them for years! I stayed in this affordable hotel during a trip to Cave City and returned again. Upon my arrival for my second visit, I was made to feel as if I returned home! Very affordable, clean, pleasant, friendly…definitely OYO is Home Away From Home.
