Hotel staff, upon check in was short spoken and unwelcoming. Before I even arrived I was charged a fee that was greater than I paid for the room for incidentals, waiting to see if that pending charge is removed, will give it a few days. The family we met here said the bar was not open the night before when the posted hours were until 10pm, apparently the whole wedding party came back from rehearsal to a closed bar. The night we stayed they did keep the bar open, bar staff was nice. Toilets didn’t flush well and the bath tub has been dripping for who knows how long, it’s stained. Overall, seems clean but very dated. Floor is still old carpet. Only convenience/update is the door key that is connected to the app, making it optional to skip check in (which we did, but still had questions for the front desk, who was less than helpful. There was maybe a girl in training, she was nice, but the person training her was awful).
This hotel is filthy. There were yellow stains on my bed pillows, and they smelled strongly of urine. There were about ten missing buttons on the phone. The room's desk was broken and falling apart. Could not read the numbers on the tempostate. The wall has holes, the carpet has stains, and the chair has stains. Remote control for the TV needed batteries. Even though there are only three floors, the ice machines on the first and third floors were broken. The front desk clerk informed me that the property was not in good condition because the company would not hire more workers. They moved me twice after I complained to the front desk, and the rooms were worse both times. After I repeatedly voiced my complaints to the front desk clerk, the property manager showed up and told me I had to leave because the clerk had lied and claimed I was causing trouble. False; my desire was for a clean room. After maybe three hours at the property, the manager forcibly made me leave and would not reimburse me for the one night I did not even spend there. I was subjected to prejudice and threatened with an unnecessary call to the police. While I was trying to make another hotel reservation over the phone, the representative could hear the property manager being irrational and unkind to me. She was shocked at what she was hearing. I lodged a complaint with the corporate office. I have provided my information and am waiting on a call from the general manager and property owner. Even after placing several calls and sending emails, I have not heard back from anyone. I would like my money reimbursed. You stay at this hotel you will only be disappointed.
Hotel ini sangat bagus, bersih dan segar. Namun, sejak saya masuk ke pintu, kerani meja depan Mycola nampaknya tidak berminat untuk berurusan dengan saya. Memandangkan saya seorang wanita berwarna dan dia juga begitu, saya hanya tidak faham bahawa anda tidak cukup baik. Kami mempunyai cukup kesukaran dengan orang lain dan untuk diperlakukan seperti itu dari anda sendiri adalah meresahkan saya. Sekarang ini benar-benar mengganggu saya kerana sebagai bekas penyelia perkhidmatan tetamu hotel, saya tahu bahawa anda boleh menghormati daftar keluar lewat untuk memberikan perkhidmatan tetamu yang hebat. Dan secara jujurnya saya tidak diberikan ini sepanjang penginapan ini. Adakah saya akan kembali ke hotel ini, mungkin, jika seseorang meluruskan Cik Mycola dan membuatnya memahami bahawa perkhidmatan pelanggan yang cemerlang memberi anda pelanggan berulang oleh itu menjaminnya dengan pekerjaan.
This is a dump, very old property, not maintained. Pls stay away, and it is a disgrace for Marriot to have such a bad property in the middle of Texas. Here are the issues: 1) Booked a two room suits with 4 of us in the family. 1 room supposed to have 2 beds and 1 with Master, but we were told all of their two bedrooms are with only 1 king bed only for each bedroom, so kids could not have their own bed. I asked, the gentleman in front desk advised me to use sofa bed in living area. Poor guy has no solutions for me. 2) Rooms are very small and congested, washrooms are extremely compact. Bed odor from washroom and bad water quality, serious water quality issues, pls don't use it for shower or wash your face. I went ahead and used bottled water instead. 3) OpenOffice the days, the fire alarm went off around 7am in the morning and everyone had to evacuated, firefighters came on board and told us as they were leaving that there is no fire, just a water leaks turned on the alarm. Hotel staff would not say what happened, no courtesy whatnso ever. 4) When I asked for an extra blanket for sofa bed, front desk told me they ran out of it. Sad to believe that such a big hotel would not have a extra blanket. I find the staffs are lazy and not going extra miles to help. 5) Laundromat area is very dirty and the so the gym area. Laundry machine requires change/quarters, no way to swipe a credit card to pay as I did on other similar Marriot properties. All in all, I didn't get what I paid for and no service, it is a disgrace to see such a marriot property still exists.
Just stayed at Homewood suites. The hotel was lovely and conveniently situated close to Katy mills. The breakfast was not so great and the housekeeping could have done slightly better job. You have to request house keeping in the morning, not sure if is temporary because of COVID protocols. Once time we didnt any soaps, towels and sanitary napkins so we had to go to the reception to request it. The bathroom was not functioning during some parts of the day then would suddenly work. When I informed reception, the staff didn't even say I am so sorry about it they were very matter of fact and I had to advise the staff how to speak to guests and handle complaints by virtue of being from the travel and tourism trade. Shamali was very nice and friendly at the reception The room had all amenities full kitchen, microwave, fridge. The telephone had emergency numbers which was a great feature. There is a lovely pool and gym. The location was ideal, close to places for breakfast and activities such as indoor climbing. The hotel had everything one would need in case you forgot something e.g toothbrush or needed a quick snack. Overall, a nice hotel.
I have stayed at this Courtyard Marriott many times, as it is located not far from my parents’ senior apartment. I am also a frequent business traveler, and I have noted that the cleanliness and quality of the service are consistently excellent; the hotel ranks well relative to properties I visit around the country. In the last few weeks, however, Henry from the Katy team has gone above and beyond to help me as I have made reservations for visiting family members coming to visit my mother, who is on hospice. His kindness means so much to our family at this difficult time.
Room could have been a bit cleaner (there was hair on the floor of the shower, and the floor had some sort of residue that stuck to bare feet - bring socks/slippers!), but that's my only complaint, and it's not a big deal. Easy check in and check out, comfy bed, and a hot breakfast (bacon, sausage, eggs, potatoes, toast). The food was cheap hotel faire, but that's what I would expect at this price point. It filled us up, and we didn't have to go spend more money at IHOP down the road. Win/win! Would stay again. :)
