Great vibe. Lovely staff. Just a great overall, chill experience. Beautiful, simple rooms. Roof deck for dining really makes it. All the meals were wonderful. Great views of surfers. Ideal for a weekend trip. I am very happy I stayed at the Surfrider!

Great stay! The staff is top notch at this beautiful boutique hotel. I had everything I needed for a perfect beach workcation. Rooms are large with a beautiful ocean view. WiFi in the rooms were strong with good download speeds. The property is located next to the pier and the sunrise and sunset views are not to be missed.. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant overlooking the ocean was delicious. Beach chairs, umbrella and food/drink service available. My only regret is not staying longer. Definitely recommend!

Book your trip ASAP- this place was amazing! We were skeptical due to the iffy reviews and I truly have no idea why they exist. The hotel was fantastic- very clean, rooms were comfortable, we had an amazing night's sleep, and the location was INCREDIBLE. The price was very affordable for the area and we felt like we were arriving at a Greek villa when we checked in. I can't say enough about the staff- they greeted us warmly, were unbelievably accommodating and flexible when we needed a bunch of things for our 9 month old, and even stored our stuff after we checked out because we wanted to go to the beach. I left my wedding shoes there and Hamid offered to mail them to us in NYC! Book your stay- you won't regret it!

Returning to Calamigos for another stay was a bit like coming home. As soon as I was driving there I knew the way and check in was a breeze just like before. I did have some issues when booking my room initially and ended up with an estate room, but when I checked in, I discovered I had been upgraded to a double bungalow. The ranch had undergone a few changes since my last visit and most of the staff was new. There were a few familiar faces which was good to see. The staff took excellent care of me, especially Kurt, the concierge, Connor, the resort manager, and Daniel, the assistant front desk manager. Also all the valets were great, greeting me warmly when I returned and offering me water before I left. The double bungalow I got was spacious with two bedrooms and a massive bathroom. I did have a couple of issues with my room, but the staff was quick to address them or explain the issue (my bed stand somehow broke, not by me, which they fixed the next day after I did a temporary fix and the phones in my bungalow were out due to wildlife). I was able to get in touch with the staff whenever I needed through text and they always responded within a few minutes. I did use the spa again (see separate review) and finally took advantage of the hiking trail they have on the grounds (did make a suggestion about signage). I also used the pool area and was pleased with the prompt and constant service the staff provided. However, I also had a private patio where I could get a little sun in the afternoon just stepping outside. It was another amazing stay and I know if/when I return to Malibu, Calamigos is where I’ll be staying.

I am a Hampton/Hilton Honors member and stay all over the US at these hotels. Recently I decided to stay at the Hampton Inn in Agoura Hills CA. I have a home in Westlake Village CA, the next town over. My home is being renovated and I needed surgery and decided to stay during my recovery. Here is what I experienced: 1. Employees, management & staff have no background in hospitality. 2. I felt unsafe in this hotel and at times it resembled a Motel 6 vibe. 3. Thankfully they accept pets however the smell and dampness from their overuse of product to mask the smell is overwhelming. 4. Reviews have shown double and triple charges on credit card statements. During my stay I overheard a guest address this same problem while he was a guest there. 5. You may think you are getting your room clean, but they do NOT change the bed linens. Its embarrassing that this Hampton Inn is in my home town and that these employee's and management represent my area. #hamptoninnagourahillsca

Nice, newer property that is well maintained and well appointed. The only weird thing is that it’s in the same building as a Courtyard by Marriott and I wasn’t initially clear on where to park and check in. Once I figured out that it’s the same parking lot, same lobby, same common areas and same front desk, I got checked in and was on my way to my room. Had and overall great stay!

This hotel is very nice and clean — the room was beautiful and a nice view of pool. The room was huge and I loved it!
