Used this place for an overnight stay between flights in/out of Miami Airport. Forgive my scepticism but it looks like it has changed its name to escape dodgy reviews. It was once a Holiday Inn Express and I would judge that it has not benefited from any investment since it was taken over. It is promoted as the Onyx Hotel but all of the external signage is still for the ”Hotel Bloom”. If you read any reviews under that name it is not difficult to understand why a rebrand is needed. The place is run-down, tired and smelly. We tried to find another hotel but at 2am in the morning that proved impossible. In short unless you have no other choice......just don't!
Great location near the Airport. They offer a free courtesy bus to and from the Airport. Downside we had to wait nearly 1 hour for the bus from airport to hotel seeing many other buses from hotels pass by 2 or 3 times before ours turned up.
Just a short shuttle ride from the airport. The desk clerk was wonderful and very helpful. The room was large with a comfortable bed and cleaner than most places. The hotel had plenty of security and was quiet. If you are going to the airport then this is an excellent choice.

There is also a pool and the breakfast is included and has a wide range of hot and cold items of good quality. . Will definitely come again!

We came here (my teenage son and I) because another motel in the area messed up my reservation, leaving us stranded at 1:AM on a Sunday Morning. Parkway Inn was the only place with availability. This is how we “chose” Parkway. First, the room was relatively inexpensive. The staff was incredibly friendly. Every single person with which I interacted was polite, smiling, and pleasant. Our room was clean and simple: 2 beds, a bathroom, and a TV. It also had a desk. Interestingly enough, the WiFi, though, was actually strong. Possibly the best signal I’ve ever had at a hotel. Past that, nothing impressive, but you get what you pay for. Probably the only down-side is they don’t have cable. They just use a digital antenna for channels, and only maybe 10 are semi-watchable…1 local station, 1 Telemundo, the rest are hit-or-miss. The hotel is about 3 blocks from Miami International Airport. There’s a decent pub across the street - Bryson’s - also with friendly people. There’s a Burger King across the street and a pretty cool convenience store around the corner. If you’re on a budget and really don’t care where you stay, this is perfect. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this motel. The staff is awesome - probably in the top 1% of hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. No-frills is what it is.
We stayed here for an overnight layover. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shuttle service was good (although it doesn't run very frequently). The downsides were that the AC was quite noisy, the windows seemed quite old so they didn't block out much of the aircraft noise, and we were not warned that there are renovations ongoing so the breakfast room was closed and only pre-packed takeaway breakfasts were being handed out. Had I known this I would have requested a vegetarian breakfast, but I didn't ask at the time as I was worried about missing the shuttle bus.
My husband booked this “hotel” (I think it’s also a homeless shelter) because it was close to the airport and we had a 13 hour layover. Room was clean but bare bones basic - a bed, tv, 2 cheap rolling office chairs on vinyl flooring. Went in the bathroom to wash my face and attempted to hang the wet washcloth on the towel rack and it fell off the wall! Water pressure in shower was very low and I felt the need to wear shower shoes in the dirty shower. I’m reading reviews about the vending machine for drinks being down for almost a month. Why not replace it? I walked down there and the out of order sign is still there! All night there was noise of furniture moving, dogs barking, people arguing, kids running…this was a Sunday night until 2am! I ordered food through a delivery service and as soon as I got the notification that the food was left outside of my door, I opened it to find that the guest across the hall was trying to grab my food! If I had been one second late, I would have lost my money and food! That goes to show what kind of people actually stay there. Sketchy activity going on in the parking lot all night. I begged my husband to leave at 4am even though our flight didn’t leave until 10 but I was just ready to leave it was such an uncomfortable stay. Towels and sheets were clean so I gave them credit for that. Don’t go expecting a pool- it’s closed!

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is a bit further from the airport than I expected. Reception, lounge and breakfast area are located on 4th floor. Rooms are on upper floors. My room was large, clean and the bathroom looked newly renovated and very nice. Water pressure was good. TV cable worked. Landline did not work. Wake up call by means of knocking on the door was not done despite being requested. Breakfast was buffet style though limited (beef patties, omelette patties, DIY waffles, cereals, yogurt, tea/coffee). For an evening meal, if you don't want to walk to some eateries, as the area is not quite safe, there are a few delivery options... Flyer menus are at the reception and in your room. I did not order, so don't know the quality of food. Free shuttle was on time. The hotel was good for an overnight stay.

ATTENZIONE BREAKFAST NOT INCLUDED per averlo bisogna pagare $12.
PPengguna TetamuHotel reception staff very good especially the young Chilean lady.
Rooms are a little dated but shower was great and bed was comfy.
Plenty of car parking space and also offer a free shuttle to the airport
ZZebraBasketОставались на пару дней в Майами в этом отеле! Скромно, просто. Цена/качество соответствует) Рекомендую если вы в городе не надолго, как мы)
TTashaThe room was decent, and it’s only 5 minutes drive away from the airport. The continental breakfast was great, didn’t expect it to be that good (there were waffles, bagels, boiled eggs, toasts, cereals, and fresh fruit).

LLINCOLN HANOOMANYOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!
so I was very content and more than happy with the service because it was fully bilingual, and the layout served my tourist imagination well, because it was a motel with a pool to me — just like I've seen in so many movies! 🎥 🍿 It is also VERY honest, 2 STARS ⭐️ 🌟 🤩 , that means cheap and cheerful 😀 . As we all know the star system is very much a DIY system and I've stayed in 4 star places with equivalent service as Days Inn.
So why do I keep coming back here, besides being broke the location is great which is why I gave extra point. Lovely coffee, creole breakfast, snacks etc are just down the road - I simply stretch my legs for a few minutes to get to them, so food access was a biggy to me. And, the other thing I really like about this place is the clientel! Interesting people to me, some folks say 'getto' but they mean 'working class' which is the majority of us (since 2008 😏).
And finally, remember Miami is in the USA not China or Ecuador which means if you want a more up market place, that's great but know you must pay American prices!!!
