The room was fine and the lady at the front desk was nice. But the towels were not very clean.

Great facility and location. Clean, polite and very knowledgeable.

There is no excuse for how filthy our room was. Housekeeping is not doing their job. Plain and simple. I realize this is not a five star hotel, we were here because we wanted a place to still ”live” while our A/C was being repaired during a heatwave. Since nicer hotels lately do not have dining options, this made the most sense.  Hotel was recently updated and I appreciate the USB ports and such, but the lighting is awful. If you have low vision issues, do not stay at this hotel. The kitchen is like a cave there is just not enough light.  Due to Covid-19 I bring all my cleaning supplies and do a disinfecting job. I know hotels say they do this, but please do not trust them especially this hotel. The kitchen floor was disgusting black as could be with dirt. Crumbs in the corner as if housekeeping just swept to the corner and left. The sheets had what I would assume was urine stains all over them. The bathroom door had marks, dirt and who knows what all over it. Seriously all you would have to do is clean the door. How hard is that? The vent for the A/C needed to be cleaned months ago. Again, all it would take is a good wipe down or vaccum.  Our feet were BLACK after walking on the carpet. You would get into the shower and dirt would be running down the tub.  Even the pot holders were filthy. Shouldn't these be cleaned after each stay? The vent for the stove fan was broken and never worked.  We did contact the front desk about most of these issues. They did apologize and supply us with new sheets. We did not get the stove fixed because they wanted a 3 hour window for us NOT to be in our room before they would enter to fix anything. Ridiculous request even during Covid. 

Wonderful staff. Very good shower. I don't like the shampoo and body wash in dispensers attached to the wall of the shower. I DO NOT like (nor use at home) body wash. Provide a real bar of soap for the shower! No mirror in the room, other than the one above the sink. Perhaps there is supposed to be one in the ”hallway” between the front door and the main part of the room, but there was just a metal flashing on the wall six feet above the floor. This might be the first hotel room I have ever stayed in that does not have a full-sized mirror. The bed was comfortable. I like the room and the amenities it had (other than missing a mirror).

Ryan check us in on December 6 at 9pm We just drove from Stanford after my husband had surgery. Ryan was so helpful and compassionate. Ryan made sure we had room close to elevator. Plus in Am we had wonderful hot breakfast there was sausage, omelettes,oatmeal,yogurt and fresh fruit. Our room was quiet and very comfortable bed. We will definitely stay again. Thank you

I was in town for two days and needed an inexpensive place to stay for a fast visit. In this case, you get what you pay for. Pros *excellent staff and as accommodating as they could be under the circumstances. *close to all freeways and shopping *quiet * coffee/tea/hot chocolate and small pre-packed items fora grab and go ”breakfast *somewhat clean Cons *our pillow smelled like a cigarette *our room and the bathroom had a faint cigarette smell more like maybe a longterm guest who was a huge smoker ( but never smoked in the room) lived for awhile? Although the person may not have smoked in our room just the smell on the person seeped into stuff. *the fire alarm outside our room beeped as it needed a new battery. Was told there was nothing they could do as no one else in the night was on staff, just one receptionist who couldn't leave here post. *Where was the hairdryer? *The bathtub in the shower was somewhat clogged and ended up backing up with water while I was taking a shower. Gross! *Was told there has been a flood and the washing machine did not work so our pillows which smelled like cigarettes could not be replaced that night, (gross) but later the sweet receptionist who was all alone took time and hunted down some pillow for us and surprised us with fresh pillows. Thank you whoever you were! I stayed two nights. Had I had to stay longer, I would have left to go to another hotel.

This Microtel us my favorite for when in Bay Area. It is managed at a “10”, is always clean, no grunge, polite staff, location location location, easy access to good food, and always 2 mins to hit the 101. Breakfast food is good. Two microwaves. Excellent lightening in hallways / lobby and rooms. Has a laundry for guests to use…
