Facile d'acces , bien situé pour aller a pied dans le centre ville. personnel très accueillant et à l'écoute.

Good location, only 5 minutes walk to the cathedral square. Staff very friendly. Parking on site for a fee but if you have a large car be aware that the access is tight. Clean and comfortable room. We understand each room is different and ours had the sink and shower in the room rather than in a separate bathroom. Breakfast (extra cost) was buffet style but with a good selection and definitely worth it.

Per un paio di notti a Clermont ho trovato questo albergo che è rimasto proprio ”come una volta”: arredi storici, camere non ammodernate e reception come cinquant'anni fa. Ma a mio avviso vale cinque stelle perchè è tenuto tutto bene, molto pulito e caratteristico (ad esempio, le porte del bagno erano delle ante di un armadio!) così come è bella la vista dalla camera sui tetti della città. Se cercate modernità non venite qui. Se cercate la vieille France con un pizzico di romanticismo e nostalgia, non è un posto che dimenticherete facilmente.

This review is in respect of my customer service experience around the booking rather than the accommodation itself, which I have unfortunately not been able to comment on. Myself and a friend made a booking to stay at Dav Hotel in April 2020 as it was our intention to watch Clermont play a home European Cup rugby match. The hotel contacted me to advise that they were having to close due to the COVID-19 pandemic and therefore my booking would be cancelled. Knowing full well that we were entitled to a full refund, we decided to try to support the business by instead accepting a credit for a future booking. Due to the continued COVID-19 pandemic and government restrictions which impacted upon sports stadium attendances in France, it was not until the 2022/23 season that we could use our credit. We therefore contacted the hotel, requesting a credit in February 2023, on a weekend when Clermont were due to host Leicester Tigers in the European Cup rugby. The hotel manager, Florent Bertelli, responded to our request, confirming that the credit was only available for 18 months and that the booking was therefore lost. Having reviewed previous correspondence, we were never advised of the possibility of losing the credit, which did not appear to be date limited. Being regular travellers and having needed to make a number of cancellations during the COVID-19 pandemic we consistently took the view that we would do everything we could do help businesses survive such difficult times by accepting credit vouchers rather than refunds. All other hotels that we have booked over the last couple of years have been flexible and accommodating, and appear to put the customer experience above the bottom line profit. In this case, we were fully entitled to a refund and we suppose it was our own fault for being so trusting of this business, actually believing that they would appreciate our support rather than stealing our money.

Stayed one night. Located on the main square: while this location is very convenient and within walking distance of several sights, shops and restaurants, it is also noisy (no soundproofing). At the entrance there are a few steps down to reach the lobby, and then again a few steps up to reach the elevator. This is not the end of it though, because the elevator stops only on half floors, so there are more stairs to navigate with luggage to get to the room. No help with luggage is offered. Rooms are clean and modern. In the first room they gave me, the A/C didn't work; they moved me to another room where it worked well. Comfortable bed and pillows. Conveniently located power outlets. Well lit desk area. Amenities included electric kettle and espresso coffee maker. Bathroom with everything in working order. Shower with good water pressure. Wifi worked well. Breakfast buffet with reasonable selection and good quality items.

The reception team is fab, gave excellent parking instructions. On arrival, check-in was quick, with a very friendly feel. The hotel is new and modern, and situated right in the centre, walking distance to everything. Our room was clean, modern, and up to a typical Mecure standard. I say this, as our next stop was at a Mecure in Tours, was very disappointing.

The hotel is located I. City center, near the tramway service line A. The personnel is very nice Ang helpful. The room has a little kitchen and is comfortable, can relax in the bathroom by taking a bath…. Breakfast offers some hot dishes, a choice of cheese and croissants and so on.
