The estate was beautiful and the spa was superb. I enjoyed walking around the the estate and appreciated the collection of artworks.

Visited for our 1st wedding anniversary. The hotel is in need of a refurbishment, very tired looking on the inside. Spa is good but not nice when you have to go into the main restaurant to get a drink in your robe. Booked an evening meal in the Walled Garden restaurant and sat in a waiting/bar area but was asked to order our food there. We were taken to our table but even though we had ‘pre ordered’ the starters took over an hour to come out. The food was ok and service very slow and no one seemed to know what they were meant to be doing. Next morning breakfast again was ok but this time chaotic with people not knowing what they were meant to be doing. Check out was strange with peoples bills being discussed where everyone could hear. When we checked in our car was taken and parked but in check out we had to get the car ourselves. All in all an ok stay but wouldn’t return unfortunately.

1- Spa: one of the best spas, many facilities that help ur healing and relaxing. Luxurious experience. 2- Tea room: the staff were amazing, great tea and deserts. Amazing relaxing area with fireplace. 3- Receptions: check in, they messed a bit my activities reservations however they gave me nice tour on the place. Check out and during days the staff everyday are so helpful and welcoming 4- Horse Riding: amazing experience in the hotel large area, ladies in stable helped me to have very nice experience. 5- The room: the room was big and we got upgraded. I enjoyed how they prepare the room in three night. However the room had mold smell. Also there is no AC in the room. 6- I must say the gardening work is great 7- The restaurant: amazing breakfast and also restaurants.

My 76 year old mum took my niece for a three night stay as a treat in April. They had some light meals and drinks served to them in the hotel bar on three occasions. When mum checked-out she was horrified to see £148 service charges added to her £240 food and drink purchases - over 60%! My mum is a polite, compliant pensioner and she paid the fees. She was embarrassed to tell us, but when she did l queried them with the hotel to be told that they were 'discretionary' as detailed in their T&C's, and that this is 'normal in hospitality'. Mum says she was never made aware that the fees were optional. The receptionist and manager that l spoke to were both very embarrassed when l asked for an explanation, so l suspect that even the team are uncomfortable with this practice. The £148 is being refunded, but the bitter taste in the mouth remains...

Lucknam park exceeded expectations! The estate and grounds are exceptional, the room was absolutely perfect. The service was wonderful, in particular Daniel went out of his way to make our stay extra special. He gave us a brilliant tour of the grounds which was really a highlight of our trip. He is an asset to the hotel!

One of the most luxurious and most friendly hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The staff obviously enjoy working here which greatly adds to the all round joy of being a guest. We were made to feel more like a house guests than visitors. Daniel, who brought up our bags and was thoroughly welcoming whenever we met, deserves a particular mention. The young staff in the Walled Garden Restaurant, and the staff in the Spa were all equally amenable. We always felt to be very well looked after. The spa is the most luxurious I’ve ever encountered and never overly busy, which added to its restful feel. We will definitely be back. Lucknam Park has become my go-to luxury destination for complete r&r, thank you!

We had an absolute wonderful stay at Lucknam Park. A charming country house hotel with gorgeous gardens and a vast amount of land to explore, we even visited the equestrian stables on site to have a look at the horses. All the staff we came across were friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Manor room, which was lovely, very comfortable and clean. Afternoon tea in the lovely bar area was great - sandwiches/savouries, scones and patisserie selections were all well-made and very delicious. Dinner and breakfast in the new Walled Garden Restaurant, was great too. Really enjoyed some relaxation time in the fabulous spa, loved the indoor/outdoor hydrotherapy pool and the thermal cabins, especially the Japanese salt room. A special shout out to Oliver in the bar and Amanda at the hotel reception, thank you for your kindness and hospitality.
