Hotel berhampiran Chiesa di Colombaro, Colombaro

Hotel is in a quiet area a little off from the highway. We had a corner suite room which was a huge room with separate living area and bedroom and it had a treadmill in the living. The only complaint is the shower water had a very strong metallic smell, not sure if it’s the plumbing or what but it was quite unpleasant. TV channels has cable TV channels so that’s nice too.

I'm coming for good as I'm alone but if I stayed for a week because the welcome of this place is rare gorgeous I recommend you visit try to see you won't find a hotel Features like this is really awesome i stay with it for life i will never get tired of it

En route to Ancona we planned to stop in Modena to visit the 2 Ferrari museums. The Hotel is perfectly placed to achieve this. The hotel’s reception area and staff were very welcoming. We were assisted with parking our two large motorcycles and then shown to our rooms. Air conditioned and reasonably spacious the rooms for the money we spent are more than fine. Free chilled water in the fridge, very clean rooms and whilst the bathroom is dated it was spotlessly clean. Breakfast offering was extensive and plenty to choose from. More than happy to not only recommend this hotel but would be more than happy to return.

Scegli un 3 stelle S e paghi per un 3S per avere dei servizi all'altezza ma... questo forse solo in passato era un buon 3S. La reception funziona solo dalle 9 alle 18 circa, poi gli ospiti restano soli e ti lasciano un numero a cui eventualmente chiamare, non c'è un portiere di notte o altro, il cancello del parcheggio resta sempre aperto, le camere sebbene ben fatte sono trascurate e non pulitissime, se sei allergico alla polvere è un problema, inoltre non sono ben insonorizzate. La colazione è davvero disorganizzata, non c'è un buffet e neanche un menù da cui scegliere, la stessa signora della reception se ne occupa in maniera gentile ma elenca le cose disponibili in modo disordinato e neanche tutto insieme o nell'ordine giusto. Insomma non è un hotel 3stelle S e non vale assolutamente il prezzo che abbiamo pagato. Unica cosa positiva la vicinanza al museo Ferrari. Assolutamente sconsigliato.

Our tour chose this hotel as our base for our 5 day stay. They made an excellent choice as this was a very nice hotel located in a very convenient are of town. Walking to the main streets of Modena took just minutes and we felt safe all the way. The staff was very lovely and was attentive if we had a request. Fabrizio, the concierge greeted us with a big smile every morning and took care of anything we might request like a taxi to the Bologna Airport.The continental breakfast each morning was just amazing. They also have a pillow menu!!!! You can choose the type of pillow you want in your room. Finally, it was just a great place to end each evening after a long day of touring.

I stayed in the hotel during the July heatwave. Hence the best part of the hotel, the garden, was not really usable. The beautiful photos of the grand rooms at the reception level are really misleading. These rooms are not used for anything and are therefore adding little to the value. The worst bit was the room. Although on my own, I actually shared the room (and the bathroom) with the ants (plenty of them). When I arrived at 3 pm at 38C degrees, the fridge in the room was not working because it was unplugged. Basically the adapter was missing (both issues were dealt with after complaints, but issues like this should not arise in a 4* hotel). Note that the power points take in the old fashioned 3-pin Italian plugs and hence you need an adapter regardless of where you live. The bathroom, although clean, smelled of dampness and the shower sewage outlet was getting clogged after just a few minutes. The room, while spacious, felt very, very tired. Nobody has put a lick of paint in it for 50 years or so. Air-con was OK. The staff were a mixed bag. A young lady at the reception was the only one who put a smile on her face. The older members of the stuff looked like they are tired of everything and just waiting for retirement. Having moved from this hotel to the same-chain hotel in Bologna, the differences are to the extreme in every respect. In my mind, the only thing that is 4* in this hotel is the price. Everything else is at best 3* (cannot comment on breakfast, was not having it). On the positive side is the location of the hotel, 10 min walk to the Piazza Grande.
