A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen. We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed. Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel. All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel.

The room is clean and specious for 3 of us and the lacking only no toothbrush provided, only 2 towels instead we paid for 3 persons. Breakfast was ok only the noodles is not properly cooked as it is still hard to chewed😅. (Still room for improvement) The main highlights was the service we received from the bellboy Mangala. He is very helpful, approachable and always smiling. Others then that it is easy to get the public transportation i.e. tuk tuk and car. Definitely we will be coming back again. Thank you

Seeing so many sad faces in this happy place, I deeply thought many times whether to write on this or not. Taking care of External Customers is a good thing as long as Internal Customers (your employees) also feel fairly treated. “Clients do not come first. Employees do. If you take care of your employees, naturally they will take good care of the clients.” Your staff doesn't look to be happy and as customers we can feel those things also. Note to management!

Кондиционер, вентилятор, горячая вода, сейф. Не понравилось · Ощущение строгача какое-то только, требование платить в долларах (но принимают карты), затребовали сертификат вакцинации (это январь 2023, когда все отменили уже как 2 месяца), на дверях надписи что нельзя приводить гостей. После кучи добродушных гестхаусов показалось как-то слишком серьезно. Район немного странный, много бездомных., но ходил даже ночью, нормально обошлось. В целом тихо, но если кто-то в коридоре начинает разговаривать то шумно, персоналу лучше вести себя тише, особенно с утра

Where can I begin to start about this hotel? From the minute we walked through the door you would think you were in a 5* hotel with the level of service you receive. The room was modern and beds extremely comfortable. There were a few bits of damage but nothing we couldn't see past. The only gripe I had with the room is that because the Make up room/ Do not disturb LED light is beside the bed this lights up blue on a night and can be bothersome. A fantastic mention for our housekeeper Gihan keeping us well stocked in towels and everything tidy. The pool is well maintained and pool towels are of a very good quality. We looked in the gym and contrary to a previous review the air con works. Bar service and the range of drinks are excellent, as is the Cafe on the ground floor which has excellent cakes and is very reasonably priced. Infact we couldn't believe it. I had the worst experience ever with this hotel. I stayed with them for 4 nights during which I asked them for a bill countless times. These guys kept charging me for services and rent and never gave me a receipt for anything at all. Even at the time of checkout I asked for a bill and the receptionist kept me standing at the reception for 40 mins while I was getting late for my flight, and yet I did not receive my bill. Since then I've asked the hotel to email or WhatsApp me my bill at least 20 times but they're highly unresponsive and unprofessional. They've been giving me false promises of sending my bill ”ASAP” for last 4 days now and yet I have not received my bill. The only task of a receptionist is checkin checkout and billing. How can you not know how to do that???? They kept charging me money and I don't know how much they charged me for what. Cuz you'll never get a bill for anything. PS: The food is terrible too! Not fit for human consumption. Such Cheats and Frauds!! BEWARE GUYS!! DON'T STAY HERE!!
