Absolutely stunning place to stay. We started our Sri Lanka trip here and what and excellent welcome gift it was. It is a small idyllic and quite hideaway in the hussle-bussle center of Colombo. The interior design is gorgeous and the room itself is spacious, really nicely designed and the bed extremely comfortable. Big shoutout to our friend and helper Ashan from the hotel. He helped us with so many things such as finding drivers, recommending places to eat out and organising massages. So kind and attentive. The Sri Lankan breakfast is highly recommended. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Just wow. This boutique hotel is jaw-dropping. It is a calm and tranquil oasis in the midst of a bustling city, and is just a few minutes walk to some of the best souvenir shops and restaurants in Colombo; including Barefoot Cafe and The Gallery (Paradise Road). Our personal host, Ashan, made sure that every detail is taken care of and made our trip extra special. We were provided a major upgrade from the Pool Suite to the Master Suite. We primarily chose to stay at Ishq to break our travel journey and have a 1 day rest in Colombo, but we wouldn't mind staying a bit longer in our next stay.

We had the most special stay at Ishq. The service was the best we have ever received, so much thought went into everything and the villa was extremely beautiful and comfortable. Asanga was an incredible host and looked after us very well. It was a stay to remember and we are so grateful to Asanga and the team for their hospitality.

Amazing place with very welcoming people ! Loved the atmosphere and the perfect taste of every object . Beds are comfortable, service is kind and efficient. I hope to come back to the villa one day as everything was absolutely perfect from breakfast to room.

My wife and I recently stayed at Ishq with our two small children. I can honestly say it's one of the most lovely places we've stayed. Ashanga and his team were incredible at making us feel welcome and relaxed. They took care of our every need in an utterly beautiful architectural setting. Thank you and see you again soon.

It was an amazing experience, we sadly only for 3 days, but they made it so special from personal favours to organisation our transfer. We came as an ordinary couple and left feeling like queen and king. Thank you for making our stay, a stay we'll remember forever.

Ishq is a hidden gem in the heart of Colombo. It’s hard to believe such a tranquil spot exists amidst the city’s hustle and bustle. The lush, green atmosphere is truly enchanting, and the architecture is a masterpiece. The garden is simply breathtaking. A standout feature is the owner's personal collection of precious old books on Ceylon history. Enjoying a book on the verandah with a cup of coffee is an experience you won’t forget. The pool is lovely, and the entire place feels incredibly special. A big thank you to Robin and the team for hosting us for an evening coffee and snacks.

Ishq is a most magical respite. It is lush, green and an oasis of calm in bustling Colombo. Its art pieces are awe inspiring, gardens breathtaking and a library housing the owner’s personal collection of precious old books on Ceylon’s history, enriching. We stayed in the pool suite of which our favourite feature was the floor to ceiling glass door opening to the pool. We were well looked after by our butler, Ashan, and thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast spread each morning. Thoroughly recommended for a holiday you won’t soon forget.
