If you like new and fancy, this is not going to be the place for you. If you like quirky, charming and unique, then this place is a gem. It's an old but well-maintained pension with a lot of character. Everything was spotlessly clean and worked perfectly. The rooms had great air conditoning, great bathrooms, comfortable beds. (We didn't have trouble with the shower curtain wrapping around us, as others did.) The rooms are all named after flowers; ask for the ”NoMeOlvides” (Forgetmenot) room---it's the best. The family 3-bed room was also very very nice. Located a brief 5-minute walk from the historic section. The breakfast is assorted pastries (fancy ones) and whole fruit with tea, juice and coffee; not a full breakfast but hearty enough to get you filled up. But, the best thing at this hotel is the service. They were so helpful to us in any little thing we needed, including scheduling cars for us and finding an English-speaking guide. The photos on Tripadvisor are exactly accurate and are what you get. Rooms are slightly cramped: adequate but not huge. We paid $79 USD for a night in an upgraded room, but a $60 room (two twin beds) is still quite nice, and all rooms face the garden. If you want something a bit fancier, go for $100 and pick the Don Antonio; if you want something a lot fancier, go for $300 and pick Charco.

This is far from being a 4 star hotel. It might have had better days, but it is not well maintained. The furniture in the room is out of date, there is a heavy odor in the room and the balcony door does not open to ventilate. The bathroom is a display of rust and mold which makes you be extra careful about what you touch. You can sit a long time by the pool, no one would come to pick your order. Some of the rooms are noisy, the noise coming from 2 directions: the hotel hallway and the street. Gladly I spent only 1 night here, however the hotel experience was unfortunate especially considering how lovely the Colonia del Sacramento is in general.

Hotel viejo Normal chico ubicado cerca del centro de colonia. No tenia cochera pero dejabas el auto en la calle sin problemas y recorrias caminando. Habitación normal con frigobar y aire lastima que tenia pocos enchufes y no tenia caja de seguridad. El desayuno se servia por turnos pero nadie controlaba quien iba a cada hora, ahora no te dejaban hacer autoservicio y tenias que hacer eternas colas para buscar tu comida porque la servian ellos persona por persona. Tenia un gimnasio que era re viejo y desabrido, la pileta descubierta estaba siempre llena y contaba mucho encontrar reposera, la cubierta estaba pasada de cloro y luego de usarla picaban los ojos. El wifi funcionaba re mal y siempre se colgaba. Solo para dormir y estar pocos dias lo recomiendo

We stayed at the Nova for 4 nights. Very convenient position and within walking distance to the ship terminal, Main Street and old part of Colonia. The room was comfortable. Air conditioner needed repair. Breakfast was exceptional. They served cereal, fruit, ham and cheese rolls, medialunas, croissants, orange juice, yoghurt tea and coffee. Staff very helpful. Our room was on the first floor facing the street. It could be noisy at night. Would recommend this hotel.

La ubicación es excelente, frente a la costa, a menos de 2 km del centro de la ciudad y con supermercados en las proximidades.
El personal es amable y con muy buena disposición ante cualquier inquietud por parte de los huéspedes.
La habitación cuenta con mini bar y jarra eléctrica, lo cual resulta sumamente útil.
Las instalaciones son agradables y se encuentran en excelentes condiciones de higiene, particularmente el área de piscina climatizada que es sumamente disfrutable (la misma se encuentra a disposición de los huéspedes de 8:00 a 22:00 hs)
Cómo sugerencia, sería interesante que ofrecieran la opción de té completo en el horario de la tarde.
Si bien el hotel cuenta con restaurante, también existen algunas opciones en las proximidades que pueden salvarte de un apuro.
¡Definitivamente, un lugar para regresar!

A nice boutique hotel, very brightly lit and a nice view of the river. The front desk staff was very kind and helpful. Our room was loft - very spacious and modern. Bed was comfortable and I appreciated the little kitchenette. The bathroom, however, was quite worn out and could use a bit of a facelift. Breakfast had limited options. Location was not too bad, it was about a 5 minute drive to old town.

We have spent two nights at Sheraton in Colonia. We went mainly because it was one of the few places with spa/bigger pools. That part was nice and more or less clean (some tiles missing - some dirt in the pools but not too much). The deck chairs on the other hand were very dirty and all in all the place around the pool wasn't clean - it looked like it hasn't been cleaned for several days and the same dirt was by the pool the day after. The worst part was the room - the view was astonishing but the room was really old, dirty and not very well taken care of. The whole hotel wasn't really taken good care of, just the entrance and the outside were OK. The breakfast was special: The food that needed cooling (cheese, butter and so) were chilled with a fan (30 degrees outside - a fan only throws around hot air) - so the butter was melt and the cheese even had mould on it. We only ate dinner there once - the food was OK but also here the glasses weren't really clean and the tablecloth had weird stains and dirty on it. One thing that stood out was that the staff only spoke Spanish – no English nor Portuguese or any other language. So, all and all it was a disappointment - I expected more from a Sheraton! I have been to hotels with less ”hotel stars” that were way cleaner, newer and really taken care of. Here it just seems like they don't care.

PPengguna TetamuVery nice and quiet place. We got a room on the second floor with a balcony that had a river view. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Only the breakfast was somewhat underwhelming because they don't have a lot of selections. No omelette or fried eggs, no potatoes, no bacon. Mediocre coffee and only one kind of juice. I think the owner needs to stay at the Mine Hotel in Palermo Soho and see what kind of breakfast is possible. Despite the so-so breakfast we enjoyed our stay at this Posada and the price was right and the room was very comfortable and the view and location was outstanding.

It's an old but well-maintained pension with a lot of character. Everything was spotlessly clean and worked perfectly. The rooms had great air conditoning, great bathrooms, comfortable beds. (We didn't have trouble with the shower curtain wrapping around us, as others did.) The rooms are all named after flowers; ask for the ”NoMeOlvides” (Forgetmenot) room---it's the best. The family 3-bed room was also very very nice. Located a brief 5-minute walk from the historic section. The breakfast is assorted pastries (fancy ones) and whole fruit with tea, juice and coffee; not a full breakfast but hearty enough to get you filled up. But, the best thing at this hotel is the service. They were so helpful to us in any little thing we needed, including scheduling cars for us and finding an English-speaking guide. The photos on Tripadvisor are exactly accurate and are what you get. Rooms are slightly cramped: adequate but not huge. We paid $79 USD for a night in an upgraded room, but a $60 room (two twin beds) is still quite nice, and all rooms face the garden. If you want something a bit fancier, go for $100 and pick the Don Antonio; if you want something a lot fancier, go for $300 and pick Charco.

super bien ubicado , en la avda Flores , caminando pocas cuadras tranquilas accedes a sitios históricos, a Buquebus, a Teatro El bastión del Carmen, al centro histórico y atracciones . Cercanía inmediata a restaurants, heladerias, supermercados etc. Habitaciones con placard , excelentes sillones y camas con sommnier y almohadas mullidas, funciona el aire, la tv, el teléfono...pileta y solarium , Desayuno internacional completo, muy buena atención y cordialidad de propietario y personal . Brindan cortés asistencia en todo lo que necesitas durante la estadía.
