We should have just passed through Chicago on a trip home across the country. Instead, we hit bad weather and ended up stranded when our airline cancelled flights and had no empty seats until 2 days later. By the time we arrived at O'Hare and got through the long lines at the airline counters trying to get new flights home, every hotel close by was booked up. We found availability at the Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Glenview/Northbrook and were so grateful. When we arrived around midnight local time, we had a clean, large room ready for our family of 4 - a bathroom, ”living” room with pullout sofa, and a bedroom with 2 beds. By the time we woke up the next morning, breakfast hours had ended. We were easily able to walk to Dunkin' diagonally across the street. Since we didn't have a vehicle, we then used Lyft and the L to travel downtown to show our kids a few sights. Upon our return to the hotel, they were thrilled with the indoor pool and I was grateful to find the laundry room next to it empty as we were desperately in need of clean clothes. The laundry room has a single washer and dryer. Change can be made at the front desk if you need it. The next day we used Lyft again to get us back to O'Hare so we could finally return home. While this location won't be convenient for the traveler who wants easier access to public transportation, it wasn't too far from the airport and was clean & quiet. We were grateful and enjoyed our stay even if it was very last minute and unexpected.

Great stay - would definitely recommend and would stay here again. At the front desk (late arrival), we were met with professionalism, courtesy, and human kindness. Seriously, he made us very welcome, and made sure I understood that my concerns about potential chemical fragrance in my room had been noted and attended to. The room itself was wonderful. Very clean, very comfortable, updated, and this hotel kept its word: there was no chemical fragrance. We spent a very pleasant and comfortable night. Plenty of nice things to say about this hotel - thank you, members of the Four Points team that made our stay so enjoyable.

Overall we had a great stay at the hotel. The location, although it appears on google maps to be a little outside of the city centre, is actually very convenient. There are several bus lines that will get you to the city centre (which for me, means the DuSable bridge) in less than 10 minutes. A couple of things to note. To access the free WiFi you need to have a Bonvoy account (free to create) Regarding the breakfast, Trip.com seems to display inverted information. It was available Monday to Friday in the 1600 Club (lower floor of the hotel) but IS NOT available on a weekend.

I am a fan of Marriott. This Fairfield is located exactly where you want to be, when visiting Chicago. 2 CTA lines are within walking distance. Located in the River North area, plenty to things to do, drink, eat, and to soak it all in. Our trip had 2 negatives. 1, which Marriott really needs to inform potential customers, this hotel is located directly across the street from the Chicago FD. A very busy FD. The other negative, was a large wedding party was staying at this hotel. And is the case with all large family gatherings, there is family drama. We arrived back to our room on Saturday morning (1am) and there was a physical fight InProgress on the 12th Floor. I was told that this altercation started in the lobby and instead of ejecting all parties or calling the police, Marriott decided to allow the violence to proceed to the 12th floor, where it continued between 1am and 4am. Un-freaking -acceptable. As a Gold Member, if have no sympathy for customers who can't or won't act like responsible members of society nor do I have any sympathy for corporations, who refuse to consider the needs of the many vs the needs of the few. Obviously, the needs of the 6 people, involved in this fight, were more important to Marriot, than the needs of the rest of the paying customers on the 12th floor. I would stay at this hotel again, but specifically ask for a room NOT facing Illinois Street.

Very clean hotel in a great location with reasonable price. Many restaurants in area even across the street within walking distance. Hotel breakfast was not offered till 6:30am so it was later than we wanted for our early work start. Also breakfast items were not always all ready when breakfast started.

Great hotel, power went out, but staff were good and promised reimbursement. Will definitely stay again.
