Hotel berhampiran Archaeological Site of Maa - Palaeokastro, Coral Bay

I had read the reviews and decided to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt. On the plane I said to my friend that I was a bit worried having seen peoples comments. The first day we thought- Oh its not that bad but I'm sorry to say it was. Having paid £900 each for a weeks stay I came away feeling underwhelmed and disappointed and here is why CLEANING- Never have I stayed in a hotel where I have made our beds every single day, washed up our teacups and even cleaned the bath and sink. The cleaners did visit our room but all they did was empty the bins, give us more loo roll and towels. ROOM- dated, needs a full refurbishment, bed like a plank and pillows made from foam balls which were so uncomfortable. No spares in the room, we asked but did not receive any. BAR. The pool bar is manned by Jack and Mason and they were amazing and really made our holiday. FOOD- I've seen comments on the food but it was OK- I tend not to have breakfast but I tried it on the last day and to be honest it was the worst meal- there is something all the time for even the fussiest person. Make sure you meet Vanya she is the best, full of life. ENTERTAINMENT- Marios and Kamil were our animation team and they were very good, bingo and Yoga and other activities are on offer. The evening entertainment is however poor , apart from the fire show. POOL- Don't be fooled by the photo on the header is really does not relate to it. There we plenty of beds but there is the usual early reserving, pool towels are supplied via reception for a fee. The tiles around the pool are chipped and uneven and a trip hazard. The pool itself is very deep 3m in some areas and these are not well signed. It is not well maintained, there is a ladder that is just only attached by the poles at the top which is not safe. In the shallow end the steps have not got railings to hold on to and they are slippery, when you get off the step into the pool the tiles are really slippery, I slipped and several people nearly had accidents there- I was told of a man who slipped quite badly. So here was my real issue with the pool feeling a little unsafe I felt like I did not want to get in, so sat on the edge with my legs in the water. There is a lifeguard Akim, he spent all his time on the phone and finally when we saw a lady slip quite badly and he was not looking nor did he get up- I could not hold back, so went and told him to get off his phone. My friend also spoke to the manager Georges who told him not to bring his phone by the pool. Guess what..... when we left the pool that day, he was back on the phone and on it each day until we left and I have the photos time stamped to prove it. There is no way given the pool issues and the clear lack of care re guest safety that I would ever come back here. If you have a disability they have lifts but that is all. Not sure how you'd get in the pool or even want to. I don't think any amount of refurbishment can help this place unless the management change their atti

Arrived late on a jet2 flight .. met by a friendly member of staff . Unfortunately bar and restaurant closed . We ordered a cold meat and cheese platter and bottle of wine ( could order beer . Sea view booked Room was excellent and well appointed couldn’t see the view as it was dark The view in the morning was breathtaking ( one of the best views ever) . Sun sets even better To say this hotel is only 3 star it is under rated by the tourist board . . Breakfast very good ( cereal / and juice not branded ) Pool and pool bar , sun lounges very good . The Staff at this hotel are all over customer service.. Kertisy, Robert and Nicholas . A special mention to Kertisy she is a real asset to this hotel . Thank you for a memorable holiday

Just returned from a 10 night stay here with hubby and friends. Originally booked another hotel but after multiple bad reviews there we changed to here. So glad we did, the whole hotel, indoors and outdoors is spotless. ALL of the staff are a huge credit to the hotel, all very friendly, welcoming and hard working. The food is very good, unlike most all inc buffet styles, you can put together a lovely meal, not just 7 or 8 things on a plate because they look good ! You’re not overfaced and the choice of foods isn’t excessive, just everything done to a high standard, with a different theme every night, our fave was Italian night. Drinks are drinkable, if you’re all inc, you can have branded drinks for half the price stated on the bar list, which is very good . Entertainment laid back but enjoyable. It is a little remote but buses are every 15 mins from the top of the road, to both coral bay/ beach , Paphos old town and harbour in the opposite direction. It was clear during our stay that they have many returning guests which is a sign that it is a super hotel. The only tiny negative is that if you are all inc the staff have to keep asking for your room number and if you’re all inclusive even if they’ve already served you earlier that evening, this is rather than have a wrist band like most all inc hotels, it is literally a tiny snag . My hubby and I would definitely return again as we enjoyed everything about it, just a very relaxing break which we really needed in lovely surroundings and sunsets which are amazing. If you are able , do book a sea view as it is certainly worth it.

Clean hotel, lovely big pool and we always found sun beds with an umbrella. Rooms are a nice size. We stayed in 515. It didn’t have a lock once inside on the door for some reason it was missing, the lock on the door to the balcony doesn’t work, this wasn’t just our room it wasn’t working on my daughters room. We are on the 5th floor so it’s unlikely to get unwelcome visitors. The rooms and hotel could do with some tlc. Some cracked glass presumably from the hot weather or an earthquake. Marks near the bath. The headboards above the beds and ripped. The food is nice for adults but the children really don’t have many options if they are a little fussy. The kids have chips with either fish nuggets or ham and cheese. They also get a choice of pasta. The choice of fruit is limited, considering we are in Cyprus I haven’t seen a banana, kiwi or pineapple. They have oranges, grapes, apples and some plums/peaches. The waiters come around and ask what drinks you want at lunch and dinner and during the day you have waiters walking around the pool who you can call over to get you a drink which is nice. The kids had lots of fun on the slides but I did notice that a lot of tiles are broken or missing. This really needs to have some work done to it. Overall we had a nice holiday.

Pobyt w tym hotelu to miłe spędzony czas,bardzo czysto, fajny basen,śniadanka bardzo dobre i urozmaicone. Obsługa bardzo pomocna. Blisko do morza nie ma gonitwy za leżakami. Super

La experiencia en este hostel fue horrible. Estaba sucio, es muy poco seguro ya que por la noche se permiten hacer fiestas con gente bebiendo tanto de hostel como invitados de los clientes. Estuvieron de fiesta hasta las 3 o 4 de la madrugada sin dejar dormir a la gente, no había nadie para poder quej**** durante la noche. Como es obvio por la mañana nos levantamos y estaba todo lleno de los restos de la fiesta, bebidas, vasos sucios… Nos quejamos a la dirección del hostel, la cual nos ha mareado hasta el dia de hoy, ya que nos dijo que nos iba a devolver el dinero de las dos noches que pasamos allí y no hemos obtenido ninguna respuesta ni compensación por parte de ella. No lo recomiendo para nada.

The hotel exceeded all my expectations! The pictures online doesn’t door any justice at all! The interior, and attention to details is quite exquisite! The staff are friendly and extremely accommodating making your stay truly memorable! I think this has to be if not the best hotel in paphos! My first time staying here but won’t be my last! The food is amazing, especially the breakfast so much option and also the option of champagne for breakfast says it all! They accommodated my late check out and provided me with a complimentary room to get ready before my flight to the airport. This hotel in my opinion is beyond 5*.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Minthis Resort in Paphos. Everything exceeded our expectations, from the serene spa experience to the delicious food and impeccable service. The breakfast was fresh, varied, and a great start to our days. Our room was not only beautiful and comfortable but also came with lovely surprises—there were fresh flowers and a cake waiting for us, making our stay even more magical and memorable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our visit was perfect, and we felt truly pampered throughout our stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and unforgettable escape!

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location. The staff were super friendly and hospitable. The pool was amazing. Self serve drinks were ideal. The cocktails included in the all inclusive were great. Some people had upgraded so they could have branded spirits and bottled beers. But the local stuff was absolutely fine. Be careful on the spirit measures. The standard in Cyprus is 45ml compared to a 25ml single measure in the UK. The snacks availability by the pool were delicious too. We didn't end up eating in the restaurant at lunch because the quality of food in the snack area by the pool was so good. We did eat at all the individual cuisine restaurants (Italian, Lebanese, Greek and Japanese) on site. Fabulous food. Again, the staff were very attentive. My partner has a nut allergy and they were very accommodating and reassuring. Would definitely go back.
