Super location away from the crowd but 10 mins scooter riding to get on it. Staff always kind

Such nice and quiet place, about 15 min with scooter from town which was exactly what we wanted. Some peace. The rooms are nice and big. The pool could not be filled up due to dry season, overall a nice stay for the price 🙂

The staff were very accommodating and the place is clean enough . However the location is really far away from the main drag , so if staying here , you’ll either need to rent a scooter or take tricycles. The breakfast needs to better and also the pool wasn’t open . Only wifi is in the reception area ; none in the room I stayed. Due to the location and area there are also A LOT of bugs!

The room facilities are the most ordinary homestays in China. I booked a room, and there was a little girl on duty there. No one knew I had a reservation. There was no computer at the front desk. I called the reservation manager and he came from his home in the town. He came 15 minutes later, but still couldn't find the reservation. I read the confirmation letter on my phone and checked in. There was no table lamp in the room, so I used a flashlight instead. The bathroom was simple and primitive. The toilet made a strange sound of dripping water at night. I went to close the water valve and repaired it myself. The ventilation fan didn't work. The overall hygiene was good. The hotel is in a large courtyard with a good environment. The quality of the bedding is the worst I have seen in decades. The pillow obviously smells of sweat, and the pillow core is covered with unknown yellow plates. I barely stayed for one night with a towel as a cushion. The bed is short and poor, and it is extremely cheap. Today I rode a rented motorcycle to change to another one. It was more than 100 yuan more expensive than the other one. The conditions jumped several levels. It was comfortable. This was the most unsuccessful booking on Ctrip, no one else. I have been using Ctrip for nearly 30 years, and I have never booked a room by phone before there were smartphones.

First, we were taken from the airport to Villa Marilyn by van. This cost us (2 people) around 12 euros. When we got there, we were neither greeted nor noticed. We were then told that our room was unavailable due to an ant infestation. We were offered the option of canceling or changing to another room, which we did. The room we were given smelled very strongly of urine, so we had to change immediately. The rooms are not nicely decorated, the bed is hard and the bathroom is full of mold. We were given neither towels nor toilet paper and waited a long time for them. Unfortunately, the room was never cleaned. Because our bathroom was leaking, it was under water the whole time we were there. It was also visited by cockroaches every day. The pool is fine, but there is no place to lie down. There are only chairs. Since there is not much to do in Coron apart from the tours, there is no opportunity to sunbathe or relax by the pool. We are very disappointed and had imagined something completely different when we thought of a "villa and resort". Everything is very old, not well maintained and you feel incredibly uncomfortable. The staff don't say hello and make you feel unwelcome. The location of the hotel is also too far away for the tour operators, for example, so you are not picked up there. All in all, we were very dissatisfied with our stay. You can actually save yourself the included breakfast, as it was mostly served cold. The WiFi didn't work in the room. There was a living area with sofas, which was really great. There was also free water and coffee there. The owners are friendly and try to accommodate the guests' wishes, but this couldn't make up for the unpleasant experience itself. We have been traveling in Asia for over 3 months now, unfortunately this was our most negative experience and we were deceived by good reviews. The resort has probably suffered greatly from the pandemic and has had great problems carrying out renovations since then... the price-performance ratio is not right here!
