Prior to starting this review, i read some previous reviews, and i have to say, most of the negative ones are either without foundation completely, or were written by overly pretentious people. It's island accommodation, it's cheap by western standards, yet some people seem to expect 5 star luxury for $40 -$50 a night ? Please, be serious people ! In any case, we booked a 3 week stay at KokosNuss, and our positive opinion of the place started before we even checked in ! Applied for the S-Pass twice before leaving Australia, the 2nd time being immediately before boarding our flight to Manila. Was rejected both times, reason unknown. On arrival in Manila, it was supposed to be a few hours in a hotel then a morning flight to Coron, but we still didn't have an S-Pass, and i was at a loss as to what to do. As a last resort, and out of desperation, i messaged KokosNuss to tell them of the issue. Keep in mind that by this time, it was around 11.30pm. Luckily for us, Alma was the one who responded, and assured us that she would get it sorted on our behalf, and she said to check our S-Pass account by 6.30am. Sure enough, when i checked at around 6.30, the S-Pass was approved. Alma was an absolute angel and our saving grace. Staying up to nearly midnight to help us out ! I/We can't speak highly enough of Alma, and she is the epitome of true customer service. After a stressful night with the S-Pass situation, we finally arrived at KokosNuss the next morning, and were greeted by really friendly staff. We were shown to our room, with staff taking our suitcases and backpacks for us which was nice of them. The room itself was quite nice, with a big bed, and the bathroom was a tastefully decorated room, separate to the bedroom. One of the first things we needed was a good shower, and while the water wasn't hot, and the pressure wasn't great, it did the job for sure. We sat down for dinner that first night, and when our ordered meals arrived, i was gobsmacked by the serving sizes. I've travelled extensively around Asia (and the rest of the world) and nowhere have i been, particularly in Asia, where the serving sizes are a huge as at kokosNuss. Eateries/Cafes/Restaurants around Asia typically have serving sizes akin to what the locals would eat themselves, and as we know, Westerners/Europeans tend to eat bigger meals than Asian people, so you tend to order more to compensate. No need at KokosNuss, the meals are massive ! (and the range is good) Not only are they massive in serving size, they are all freshly prepared and cooked, hence why some reviews mention having to wait a while for your order. To have a freshly prepared and cooked meal, I’m quite happy to wait that little bit longer. In terms of value, the meals are really well priced, especially considering that you won’t finish any of the meals still feeling hungry. My boyfriend and I stayed in this resort last March 2023, and we were very satisfied during our stay. After booking one of their deluxe room for two nights only, I've decided to book one night extension just so we could experience one of their premium rooms also. It was his first time flying to Coron because I've been here ever since for work purposes. Upon check-in, I was informed that we were upgraded to their premium room and that made us both so happy! I didn't ask for it, but they were so kind to give us the upgrade. The room was super nice and spacious. I loved the view of the sunset from our balcony! They even granted one of my request to put a slice of chocolate cake in the room because my boyfriend didn't get the chance to celebrate his birthday a few months ago. Staff were busy in the morning. Housekeeping also cleaned our room well and refilled everything from bottled water to bathroom amenities and towels. The location was convenient for us as it's along the main road, and we got ourselves a car rental during our stay so we can go out and come back anytime we want. Their swimming pool is huge! I don't know, but it felt huge because we were running and swimming from one pool to another like kids during our second night at the resort :D. What caught my boyfriend's attention was the Cockatoo by the entrance. We'd always stop by to say hello to the little fella. Overall it was a nice experience for us. See you next time!

This is a quiet and relaxed hotel. The AC can make your room very cold which is great when you are out in the sun for too long doing all the great island tours around Coron! The room is comfortable enough and the staff would clean it everyday. My only complaint is the shower drain, it drained very slow and the water would flood out of the shower. There is a drain outside the shower but it still made the floor wet and soaked my slippers. The staff is very kind, always says hello. This hotel is at the top of a hill, right up from the town. You will get good exercise here, it is very close to the entrance to Mount Tapyas. You can see the Coron sign from the hotel. The hotel offers transportation to the airport and you can pay low prices for the amazing different island tours. You can pay the hotel for the tours and the tour hosts will pick you up from the hotel and drop you off when the tour is done. The breakfast is decent and the pool is very nice and relaxing. The food and drinks at the rooftop bar are great and you get an amazing view up there!

First, if you book Sunlight Hotel, you'll be able to use their lounge at the airport while waiting for your flight. Only Sunlight has a lounge at the airport in Coron. Breakfast was great. They served different dishes for the 3 nights we stayed there. Friendly staffs. They immediately assisted me and gave me ice when I asked for it. Complete amenities inside the room. Water pressure was strong. Refrigerator was working. Aircon was quiet. Ohh the safety vault was kinda not working. We could not open it although we followed the instruction. Its a 15-20min walk to the town center so its not that loud. Could always catch a tricycle to go back and forth. I would stay at Sunlight again if ever I'll go back to Coron.

This hotel is good for budget travellers. Ambience is right. Room condition is huge for 2 people. Location is near the Coron sign and the port. Everything is walking distance to all restaurants. Staffs are charming and helpful. Housekeeping is everyday. Our room is well maintained during our stays. Avoid getting your tour from the adjacent tour center; they are not good. Breakfast in the hotel is good. Price is just average. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended to all!

It's not our first time in Coron, but it's our first time staying in MO2. We stayed in Westown Resort a few months ago, same year, and we've had a great time there. MO2 felt more quiet and more at home. My boyfriend and I are not actually fans of crowded places so MO2 felt perfect for us. Maybe because it's still off season here in Coron. When I made the booking I opted for a queen size bed, but during check-in, Frank, the front desk agent informed us that we were upgraded to their room with a king size bed. I thought, ”Aww! That's so sweet!” My boyfriend was also thrilled because when we were in Westown Resort, we got upgraded there too. We enjoyed lounging in the pool, and eating pizza at the bar. I don't know about the other reviews here, but staff are actually accommodating. (As expected from a hotel in Coron) The room was super spacious, and housekeeping cleaned our room well. It would be nice if they add a welcome treat in the room. It's only a suggestion since I think almost everyone is doing it. Since I work in the hospitality industry and he in cruise industry, it felt nice to relax, reset and to be spoiled a little. We will definitely come back again next year, and I hope we won't miss out on the welcome drinks again (because we missed it the last time too hahaha!)

Very nice hotel, just 5 min away from town if you take a ride. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Good shower, always hot water, strong AC, lovely pool that you can use until 10 pm. Pool towels also provided. Lots of useful things like toothbrush set, comb, shaver set etc. provided. Mini Bar with some cold drinks - to pay on top but is good to have if you need something asap. The only thing I would not recommend was the restaurant, I didn't really like the food and we were waiting around 1 hour for it to arrive. It was quite pricey as most of the things were described as ”to share”. My partner likes to eat different things so I didn't really like the concept of that menu.

We enjoyed our stay at Two Seasons Coron. It was close to town proper and there available tuktuks outside the whole which was convenient. If you want to open the curtains and enjoy some sunlight, book facing the sea. Ours was by the road so every time we step out so hang something, we have an audience lol This is something I will consider again next time but over all, it was a pleasant stay. Please change your hand bar soap to just a bottle soap, for sustainability purposes. They already have shampoo, body wash and lotion and refillable bottles which was good to see. Bar soaps dont finish in 3 days, and a shame thinking were it will end up after use. Thanks!

Well, the area itself is private. Besides the bad signal and small rooms, their pool and food selection was a deal breaker. The staff were courteous and accommodating. The hotel also has dorm type rooms where backpackers can enjoy and relax in. I've stayed here twice already before. They need to offer more transportation to take you around town since the area is secluded from main town proper. Overall, my stays here are on average. Would highly recommend this for backpackers.

Pros and cons. The island was great, we loved our stay at the cottage. But the service was not so good. Pros: - The island was great. Major plus points for the house reef and grass bed that attracts fish and sea turtles. There were birds and the monitor lizards on the island! - The view from our sunrise cottage was great. The rooms were clean and the toiletries complete. - Transport to and from the island went smoothly. - Massage was great! Cons: - We arrived at around 1pm (official check in time is 3pm). The staff told us they would call us when our room was ready. Many groups of arrivals were steadily being escorted to their rooms but not us. At 230pm I went back to the reception and was told our rooms had been ready earlier! But NO ONE let us know. At this point, they gave me the key card but no one made a move to escort us to our rooms and I had to ask if they could give us our luggage so we can go the room already before the receptionist accompanied us. - There is no comfortable place to wait or change clothes while waiting for your room. Basically people are sitting on the pool loungers in their pants/shoes from the airplane. - We signed up for the hike, we were told some one would text us to confirm time and meeting place, NO ONE called. - Basically, any time they tell you they'll call you, NO ONE did. I had to call multiple times and actually go the reception to get any response. - The restaurant was not full yet it was very hard to get the attention of any server. The food also took 30-40 minutes to serve. Kudos to the one lady server who served our lunch everyday for 3 days, she was the only one who helped us. - Used plates/utensils were left on the restaurant tables for a long time. We sat down as the neighboring party left and we were already done, their plates were still sitting on the table (being snacked on by the birds). This happened every meal (and we're slow eaters, at least 45 minutes). - Towels and plates/cups by the pool loungers also not cleared for hours. - Breakfast and dinner buffet were just okay. Nothing to write home about.
