Hotel berhampiran The Old Tuck Shop, Whitefriars, Cotswold District

The hotel is dated and the floorboards creak everywhere. Feels I bit like and old persons nursing home. But the staff were excellent, every single one of them. Stayed in a double suite… nice enough but that ain’t not suite. We had supper in the Lakeside restaurant on site which was good and reasonably priced but it was cold in the room and the food took ages to arrive… even though I only had a Caesar Salad !! Anyway, we decided not to bother with breakfast but check out as well as check in was faultless. The Spa / leisure club were quite simply dismal. The pool was Arctic cold, changing rooms “snug” and loungers awful.

First room we checked into hadn’t been cleaned. Second room was fine but the hotel is kind of old and had lots of stains on the carpet and furniture, and the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Staff was nice.

Well only stopped for food because i've driven by so many times but never been able to, because HGV. So we got there at about 3 and were told that they were fully booked until 5:30, so we waited and had a few drinks, i had a shandy because driving. Anyway beautiful establishment but they can only afford that horrible lemonade that tastes of chemicals, if you drink shandys you'll know exactly what i mean. We were shown to a nice spot in the conservatory at around 4:30, my girlfriend had cold very bland roast chicken, she was not impressed and i had a fillet steak which wasn't cooked well done how i wanted it but tasted pretty good to be fair, kudos for the chef for trying, although i've never really understood why a fillet is £30 when it's £6 in tesco's and they're always better from tesco than any restaurant i've ever been in. Perhaps i'm a better cook than most of the places i frequent, that's sad isn't it. Anywhooo for all the money in the cotswolds you'd think they could afford to bank cash?! apparently not, they don't accept cash!! Jokes. Anyway i wouldn't go back it was alright but nowhere near the pub that The Lion Inn in trellech is. It's a shame cos it's a lovely place in beautiful surroundings. The third 'posh' place in the cotswolds that's thoroughly dissappointed both my girlfriend and I. I'll probably stay in the Wye valley for my pub outings from now on. There was a Saxophone man, he was quite good.

We stayed here bank holiday weekend in Room 29. Pros - Staff are friendly - Rooms are clean - Rooms are spacious Cons 1) We had a security issue one day. We returned to the hotel to find a key in our door. We suspect the cleaning stuff must have accidentally left the key there. Means anyone could have entered our room all day. Also the key is likely a master key, so also a wider security risk to the other hotel guests 2) I got locked out the hotel at midnight when I went to my car. My room key didn't open the front door. Apparently there is a second key only given to some rooms. I had to call the night porter to get back in. No information was provided on checkin about late night entrance being locked. Other - Hotel has a bar and restaurant, but we didn't get time to try. - Hotel has car parking, it's a bit tight, but there is enough space for guests - Hotel has EV charging. - Hotel has a garden and spa Notes for EV drivers - There are 4 EV slots - one is restricted as a disabled bay - To find out the price you need to install the app, register, add a credit card, connect your cable. Then finally you can see the price. From memory it was about £1 for connection then 0.67p per kwh. - It was painful trying to register on the app. I finally managed to with a password that was 9 letter, and 1 number. One of the letters was UpperCase and no special characters. - There are signs saying ask reception if you need help, but they don't have any additional information on registering or the pricing.

房子是loft，石頭和木頭建造的房屋，空間大 乾淨，樓上雙人床，廁所，樓下沙發床，樓梯下衣帽間，還有一個小壁龕！屋外景色非常漂亮，小河從門前經過，四周都是綠草坪，周圍農場，有馬匹！ 早餐超級超級好吃！ 遺憾前一天入住是沒有選擇預訂晚餐，根據早餐的美味程度可以推斷晚餐一定很好！

Probably this is the best hotel in the Bibury neighbourhood. Situate at a picturesque area and Arlington Row is within a 3-minutes distance. Parking space is abundant. Rooms are well decorated and clean. Food quality and service are good too.

The service at the reception as well as the restaurant is excellent. The room is clean and come with coffee machine which is a bonus. The bed is a bit soft for me. The only issue I have is the intermittent water dripping noise from the ceiling of the room (I stayed in room 15) which has affected my sleep. As the room was really really quiet, the dripping noise is quite obvious. I hope it just happened to me.

Lovely location. Only stayed 1 night. Room was lovely but starting to look a little dated, peellng varnish on doors, sink tap looked worn, bin in bathroom needed throwing away and replacing! But, beautiful views, excellent breakfast, conformable bed and pillows.
