Here's a polished, balanced, and favourable review: I had an enjoyable stay at the Britannia Hotel Coventry. The location is excellent, especially being right next to the bus station, making it very convenient for travelling around the city. The front desk staff were friendly and provided great service throughout my stay. My room key stopped working a few times, but each time the issue was resolved quickly and efficiently. I also needed to ask about using the older-style shower hose, and the staff were polite and happy to help. The room was clean and tidy, with fresh towels provided. It was well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, a kettle, a hairdryer, and an iron, which were all useful extras. The bathroom could do with a bit of a refresh, but it was clean and everything worked as expected. There wasn't any air conditioning, although there was a desk fan next to the bed, which helped keep the room comfortable. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The friendly service, convenient location, and good room facilities made for a pleasant visit, and I would happily stay here again.

The room is very spacious, has most of what one needs for a short stay. Things that would have been nice to have In room WiFi Mini fridge Shower gel and shampoo

I checked in at 3pm and the process was quick and smooth, with no problem. The room is on 4th floor, the view outside of the window is quite okay, I could see the rooftop of the bus station and part of the Coventry Transport Museum. The WiFi was working quite well in the room and I am glad, the room provides hot water kettle, fan, clothes hangers and a TV set. But you will need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste and face towels for your morning routine. The bathroom is functional and clean . It is usually safe to walk around in the city centre, even during nighttime, but still it is better to travel in group and look after yourself.

I enjoyed the location of the hotel, it was really clean and tidy the room was beautiful with a view of the local bus station on its doorstep also BBC Coventry radio behind the hotel. The room was spacious with all accessories we needed. Could've done with a wet room as me and my partner are disabled but because its a family room its expected to have a bath with shower head over the bath. We was on the 4th floor with lift nearby

The hotel's location is great. However, the facilities are a bit dated. The rooms are quite spacious, and overall, it's a pretty good value for the price. It's also very convenient if you need to catch a bus.

Service and attitude was very poor never write a poor review this is my first and on a Friday night the bar was completely closed!!!! couldn’t even access a bottle of water not be visiting again!

Pros- Affordable, clean and decent- sized room with lots of shops and places to eat nearby as well as a bus station.  Cons- The room was far too hot as it was not possible to open the window and even though there was a fan it was not enough. We also requested 2 rooms close to eachother on the booking made 2 months prior and they put us on floor 4 and 6 which was not great.

I enjoyed the location, which is very easy to get around the town and getting buses to all locations.

I was so disappointed with this hotel, I turned up for my booking, drove to it, saw large groups of males possibly from another country, did not feel safe, stayed in car to ring for parking information, informed no parking however given part postcode for a multi story, receptionist very rude when giving me post code, refused to speak phonetic alphabet to understand the postcode, decided to turn round never went to hotel, felt very unsafe, hotel very rundown, not inviting at all,

It looks old and has a vintage vibe but the rooms are spacious and you are getting value for your money. It isn't like cramped rooms in newly built hotels. The staff is extremely helpful especially the people at the reception, I was there for my graduation and I got a little late to checkout while getting ready and the ladies at the reception were very understanding and polite about that.

Great location opposite the National Express coach station and a short walk from the city centre. Room was clean and well equipped.

The customer service wasn't great in my opinion. But it's an affordable hotel so I didn't expect much.
