Lovely and quiet experience. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable; the bathroom excellent. The staff are very accommodating. If you are want in-room TV, an ice maker down the hall, mini bar and complimentary shampoo and conditioner, this is not the place for you. We parked at the near-by Mangana garage (which is built into the side of the mountain). With the parking ticket, we could use the garage elevators cutting the uphill trek up in half. We stayed one night but another day would have been welcome. It's close to the Plaza Major, Cathedral and viewing for the hanging houses.

Lovely Hotel in a great position in Cuenca. Visit the old town because it is spectacular. Lots of local people ate at the hotel so we knew the food would be good and it was. Staff were very helpful. Very little English was spoken in Cuenca so I would suggest iTranslate on the iPhone! worked great for us. Hotel rooms were comfortable and air conditioned mini bar well stocked. Very good hotel.
The NH Ciudad de Cuenca hotel is set within a quiet residential area of San Fernando, just opposite a lovely green park. Within 15 minutes on foot you can reach the commercial center and the old part of the city, which is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk a little further and you will reach the Auditorio de Cuenca conference center and the old town’s Puente de San Pablo. The Fernando Zóbel train station is 8km away. NH Ciudad de Cuenca has 74 modern rooms finished with warm and comfortable décor. You may choose to stay in one of our connecting rooms which are perfect for families and large groups. Accessible rooms are also available. A delicious breakfast is served every morning and includes a large spread of fresh foods and beverages. The hotel restaurant is a cozy space filled with natural light where you can order one of our Mediterranean dishes made with fresh seasonal products. There is also a relaxing bar if you prefer to unwind with a drink. For a workout, head to our gym. If you are in Cuenca for business, we have six meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 400 people.

This hotel is in the new part of the town in one of the suburbs. There is plenty of free car parking outside on the road together with a bus stop for the bus into town. I am in a wheelchair and we could get into the shopping area in 15 minutes. The old town is about 10 minutes away by taxi or a good walk up a very steep hill. The hotel public rooms and bedrooms are light and airy. The view out is better than that looking at the hotel! The reception staff are really helpful and the other staff good as well. We stayed at a weekend so the hotel was very empty and the evening meal was served in the bar but was excellent. One of the best meals we had on this visit to Spain. Breakfasts are served in the dining room and the buffet is excellent with a wide range of cold meats, cheeses, fruit and pastries. If you ask the waiter hot food will be cooked off for you which much more appetising than the standard trays of cooked food stewing on the side. I think the hotel is more of a business hotel during the week but it was great for us. The only ****** was that if you are wheelchair user there is only one bed in the large accessible room. This cannot be split into two single beds. My legs kick at night so my wife needs a seperate bed so once again I had to book a seperate room for her. Seems rather unfair. The room was well fitted out with easy wheelchair access and a sliding door into the wet room, which is large. The shower area has very limited grab rails and my wife had to follow mne into the shower to put the stool behind me. There is no fixed seat in the shower which is a shame. In all a very nice hotel with lots of bars and restaurants nearby and even more in the town centre.

We love EXE hotels and have stayed in them all over Spain. This one is another excellent example. Modern, nicely designed rooms with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Minibar, air-conditioning, toiletries, et cetera (but no safe in this case). Ultra quiet rooms thanks to great window insulation. Breakfast is exemplary offering a wide range of foods on the buffet. My husband adores the apple cake offered by many EXE hotels. It is quite a hike to the historic old city, 50 minutes on foot uphill. Luckily, there is a bus stop just down the street with buses heading towards the old town (numbers 1 or 2) every half hour and every half hour (number 1) in the other direction to the Fernando Zobel AVE train station which is about three kms out of town. The last bus from town is 10pm. Not the prettiest part of town but it is well located for getting to where you want to go. Ideal if you have a car.

PPengguna TetamuYou will not be disappointed with a stay at this Parador. Everything is top dollar with little to find fault with; from cleanliness, restaurant, grounds and staff. Nothing was too much trouble & always with a smile.

We travelled to Cuenca on the recommendation of friends, knowing that I am a fan of aTristan Antonio Saura’s work. The pocket-sized medieval city offers a wealth of museums and art galleries which are housed in stunning, air conditioned, buildings. The hotel is central, clean and very stylish. Its location allowed us to break up our walks and gallery visits to cool down and rest as we were never far away. The hotel restaurant has a good menu and some excellent local wines, served by amiable and knowledgeable staff. We loved it. We had breakfast and supper there every day. There was plenty of free car parking at the top of the city, through a narrow archway but the hotel also provides a docket for reduced parking rates at the facility opposite. We will definitely stay there again.
AAlex-BexThis hotel was a little gem of a find on an unexpected road trip from southern to northern Spain (due to UK Air Traffic Control issues). Online reviews looked good and the location was perfect in respect of the area around which we planned to make our first overnight stop. On arrival we were greeted by two very friendly and welcoming reception staff, one of whom showed us two rooms which were available to accommodate our family of four. The hotel is beautiful, blending the old building with modern twists and furnishings. The sizeable outdoor pool set in its own garden was the perfect way to cool off after a very long drive. The inner courtyard is stunning and made for a perfect setting for our pre-dinner drinks. We dined in the very atmospheric and beautifully appointed restaurant where many main dishes are cooked on coals at the side of the main seating area. The smell of the charcoal and cooking was fantastic and the food was superb and very tasty. A very good wine list gave us a great choice. Having just driven through the wine region of La Mancha, it was an easy decision to opt for a very nice bottle of Finca Antigua Reserva (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah blend) which accompanied our meat beautifully. The service was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The rooms were perfectly adequate and air-conditioned. The hotel is quiet and tranquil yet has a wonderful understated buzz about it. Breakfast the following morning was offered for a small additional cost and was adequate if a little limited but it was perfect to get us ready for another long day ahead. The town of Cuenca itself is gorgeous so this hotel is perfect for anyone transiting the area or perhaps visiting Cuenca itself. We would not hesitate to return.

We loved our stay here! We chose a premium room with views. We could see across The Valley from our room and over to the Parador hotel. The room itself was well appointed and comfortable- with radiators (essential for cold December) and aircon. The bathroom was spacious and had a really nice jacuzzi bath as well as a shower. We were in room 1. I suspect if you could choose the room 2 would be the best one as it seemed to have multiple windows. I would highly recommend the breakfast. Lots of choice (pasties, bacon, eggs, cheese, ham, wide selection of fruit) and great coffee. The bar was nice too, we had a snack there but did not try and downstairs restaurant. Downstairs is also where the spa is located. We booked a hour slot at reception and enjoyed the facilities to ourselves. The hot hub was really nice and there are saunas there too and well as some basic gym equipment. The staff are fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. Parking was over the road in a public carpark where hotel residents get a small discount. It is well located for exploring the old town. Highly recommended!
