Water Garden Sigiriya

We had an amazing trip at the Water Gardens. We loved our spacious villa where we could take a dip in the plunge pool and watch a film. Food and service were fantastic and we loved a sun down wet and swim in the infinity pool which was lovely and warm. It is ideally situated for many sites in Sri Lanka and we would highly recommend it. My son said it was the best place we stayed in our adventure in Sri Lanka. One morning we saw a crocodile and the birds including peacocks were spectacular

A beautifully designed property with an amazing staff, located in Sigiriya. This place is like a little slice of paradise tucked away from all the worries of the world. All the villas are tastefully furnished and the property has a fantastic view of the Sigiriya Rick Fortress! The service we received was impeccable. Hands down 10/10 and same goes for food as well for food serving since it was next level. Beautifully presented and the flavors were out of this world.

This has to be the best hotel we have ever stayed at, from the moment we arrived until when we left it was like being in paradise. The welcoming and complimentary massages set the bar high and it was maintained throughout our stay. Firstly the grounds are so well maintained (and with over 135 staff they are constantly refined and perfected!) and a joy to wander around with many peacocks, beautiful fish and even a crocodile basking on an island in the lake. The butlers were exceptional with a big thank you to Sashi for all his help particularly when our daughter was sick to arrange a doctor and also for all of the restaurant food to be provided at our room. The food was exceptional and better than anything else we had sampled not just in Sri Lanka but possibly ever. Even our “selective” children relished the breakfast and dinner time. Huge thanks to the executive chef and all of the restaurant staff for exceptional service - highly recommend the rotti with curry and dahl for breakfast and the curry and rice for dinner which has no less than 12 side dishes that were all amazing. The scallops were also some of the best my wife and I have ever tasted. Ricky the wellbeing expert led amazing daily yoga sessions that we all enjoyed and learnt new techniques. Finally the rooms themselves were unbelievable with exceptionally tasteful design and high quality accessories including some great Nikon binoculars that came in very handy for our safari and the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. If I could live here I would. We will be back!

Water Garden Sigiriya is one of the places I want to go if I want to relax. This is my third time. The water garden hotel has a beautiful environment that makes me feel comfortable. The staff is very friendly. Thank you all for adding joy to my busy life. I will come back to see you

This was the best holiday my husband and I have ever had it was perfect from start to finish. We were treated like royalty off the staff nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The housekeeping were brilliant, the waiters, the reception, the bar staff, the chefs, the food was 5 star it was beautiful. There are not enough words to tell you about our overall experience at this place, the wildlife was spectacular, everything from crocodiles to peacocks, owls, beautiful birds including birds of prey, you didn’t really need to go anywhere although we did have many trips but came back to the water gardens each day. We stayed there for 14 nights and it was the best thing we ever did. If you’re not sure where to stay we can’t recommend this place enough. I have terminal cancer and if I can visit there again before I’m too ill we definitely will. Thankyou to you all for such a wonderful experience with beautiful Sri Lankan people you really are something else ❤️

Beautiful accommodation, more like your own private appartment than a hotel room. Best accommodation I’ve stayed in in Sri Lanka. Great service, food and all staff fabulous. Butler service throughout stay and buggy service provided to restaurant daily. However, we were not offered the free bicycle tour nor the complimentary 15 minute neck back and shoulder massage which was disappointing.

This hotel is unbelievable! It is beautiful, you can see lots of different animals from monkeys to peacocks to even crocodiles! The staff was amazing and helped with every thing we needed! We even decided to stay an extra night and they made sure to accommodate our last minute decision! I have felt so attended to and have loved every second of staying here! It is also close to Lion’s Rock and so many other activities!

A very good hotel with excellent staff and super service. If we are in the area we will surely go back. Thamidu was extremely attentive. Dhananjaya, our butler, was always on hand and extremely helpful. If you stay here ask for a room with a view of Siguriya - there are three or four with uninterrupted views, and you then have the joy of watching the snakes of people climb the rock in the distance across fields with lots of bird life and the occasional elephant. The hotel grounds have Monitor Lizards, IBIS, Kingfishers, storks etc, and.....crocodiles.

An excellent product, although the rooms were / huts were enormous. Overall a lovely place to spend a few days, excellent staff food and facility The pool is a good size, the accommodation excellent, the staff most helpful particularly Thamadu, in the dining room and Saski our ever present available assistant.
