The hotel environment and service are absolutely top-notch, but the actual stay was very disappointing. The room was incredibly small, maybe around 16 square meters at most. It was advertised as a sea view room, but the view of the sea wasn't great. The price is way too high and doesn't offer good value for money. With over 5,000 rooms, if they continue to operate at these prices, it will alienate the average person and the place will lack any real buzz. Those who've stayed once won't return or recommend it; it's a one-time deal. If they don't adjust to more affordable prices, they're not far from losing money and going out of business.

February 21, 2026 – Stayed in a Sea View Family Room During our Spring Festival trip to the western side of Hainan, Ocean Flower Island was a crucial stop. We planned a two-night stay and, for convenience, chose the highly acclaimed Oubao Hotel on the island. 1. **Parking:** If you're driving, you can directly access the island and navigate to the Oubao Hotel. There's an underground parking lot, and if it's full, staff can direct you to other nearby parking areas. For those leaving the island, you can register at the front desk in advance to enjoy free parking. 2. **Hotel:** The hotel is massive in scale. The majestic lion sculptures and fountain outside the main entrance are grand, especially at night with the interwoven lighting, it feels like entering another world. It boasts the most single-unit guest rooms in Asia, composed of four interconnected Y-shaped European castles, each with a unique natural theme: forest, ocean, castle, and glacier. Our room was in the Glacier Castle, with corridors and rooms featuring a blue and white palette and abundant glacier and animal elements. The ground floors of the four castles connect to form the hotel lobby and check-in area. The space is vast, with a cathedral-like glass dome ceiling. In the center below, there was a festive New Year display, a vibrant and joyful scene. On one side of the lobby, two grand, symmetrical spiral staircases descend from the second floor, one white and one red, both adorned with flowers, creating a noble and elegant photo spot. The lobby has four exits, each leading to a different castle. After checking in at the front desk, you choose your path based on your room. Each castle has over ten elevators. The entire process left me with one impression: grandness! 3. **Room:** Both the main room and the bathroom were very spacious. It had one large bed and one smaller bed; the small bed, shaped like a train engine, was a nice touch, and the bedding was comfortable. The room's decor and configuration were quite simple and standard, but the glacier theme, with polar bear and penguin elements everywhere, added a refreshing touch. The shower was good, and it was quite rare that the shower enclosure hardly leaked. The window faced the sea, but there was a garden green belt between the castles, so the sea was distant and not a spectacular, unobstructed view. However, we were lucky enough to catch the sunset on our check-in day. The afterglow of the sunset painted the sea, fishing boats, bridge, and villa complex in our view a beautiful reddish hue. This combination and visual experience were stunning and definitely a plus. 4. **Breakfast:** The breakfast restaurant had palace-like high ceilings and space, arranged in a long strip, which made the food retrieval path a bit inefficient. The dishes were abundant and diverse, with local specialties. During our two-day stay, we sampled Hainan Yi noodles, Hou'an noodles, coffee cake, coconut cake, pumpkin cake, and other local delicacies. My elder child loved the Hou'an noodles so much she had two bowls every morning. The dessert selection was also very rich. 5. **Other Facilities and Offers:** During our two-day stay, we experienced the following: On the first evening, we attended a music festival and firework show at the Guanhai Park, with discounted tickets for hotel guests. There's a free bus shuttle near the hotel entrance that goes to places like the Ocean Park and the Fitness Center. We took this shuttle on the second day to swim at the Fitness Center. The hotel's own pool was unavailable, but we could use the Fitness Center's pool for free. It's a standard 50-meter lap pool, and it was my first time experiencing such a pool. There's also a mini-train station on the island not far from the hotel entrance, but we didn't use it. 6. **Service:** All the staff we encountered were very responsible and professional, indicating a high level of overall training. In summary, it was a truly perfect stay, making it a top choice for accommodation when visiting Ocean Flower Island. Besides meeting basic needs for food, entertainment, and lodging, it also offered a sense of grandeur that is quite rare.

Our first family room had a damp smell, but the front desk manager kindly helped us switch to another family room facing the sea. The service was attentive, and the room was clean. Breakfast had a decent variety, and the environment was pleasant. The water park wasn't open yet, and the ocean park didn't have much to do besides taking photos. It was off-season, so there weren't many people. The kids' world is still under construction. There's a food street near the hotel, making dining quite convenient. The hotel also offers a paid mini-train ride that takes you around the hotel for 40 minutes at 15 yuan per ride, which is worth it. There's Twin Beach near the Hilton, which is great for watching the sunset. If the island's facilities improve further, I would definitely visit again.

Great for traveling with kids! There's so much to do: the aquarium, hot springs, kids' water park, and adult pool are all fantastic. It's really well-equipped and perfect for a family vacation. The breakfast is also plentiful, though it can get quite busy.

Seriously, I don't want to leave! 😭 This is my second trip to Ocean Flower Island and I stayed at the Oubao Hotel. Even though there are fewer dining options and some shops have closed since my last visit, there are also new ones opening up! We booked a three-day, two-night stay at the Oubao Hotel. It was for two adults and one child, so we got a 'double-deluxe' sea-view room (it was a bit small, a suite would have been overkill). We stayed in the 'Forest' themed area (they also have 'Ocean,' 'Glacier,' and 'Desert' themes). The package included two buffet breakfasts, an all-day pass for the little train, and unlimited access to the Ocean Park. We didn't end up using the free photo session that was included.

Facilities: Oh, the room facilities are exceptionally comprehensive and well-equipped. Hygiene: The hygiene is also excellent; it's very clean and tidy. Environment: The environment is very comfortable and pleasant; the experience was great. Service: The service attitude is also very good.

Located on Danzhou's Ocean Flower Island, the Oubao Hotel offers mostly sea-view rooms. Ocean Flower Island is quite large with beautiful surroundings, and hotel guests can enjoy walks around the island. There's a food street with cuisines from various regions, as well as attractions like an ocean park and water world, ensuring visitors have an unforgettable time.

This is a great hotel! It's massive with excellent facilities. If you're visiting Danzhou, you honestly don't need to go anywhere else; you can have a blast right here. It's fantastic for families with kids, as there are plenty of activities to keep them entertained, giving parents a well-deserved break. The sea-view rooms offer stunning scenery, and the rooms themselves are clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread is also very comprehensive. My only minor complaint is that the room size was a bit small, but other than that, no issues whatsoever. I'm already planning to bring my kids back again!

Stayed here again. Booked a standard room and used the self check-in kiosk for the key card. Luckily, I got a fantastic sea view room this time! Last time, I booked a sea view room but ended up with a partial sea view where the view was obstructed. The service is pretty standard. The staff can be a bit chaotic and loud, and the room is still quite small. Only stayed for one night before moving on to the Cinque Terre hotel.

The room isn't huge, but it's well-designed with great attention to detail. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the ocean-themed area, and our room had related decor. The hotel itself is definitely worth seeing. With over 5000 rooms, management is understandably a challenge.

We chose Ocean Flower Island specifically for the Oceana Resort, which boasts over 5,000 rooms. The visual impact was truly stunning; everything felt so grand and luxurious. The breakfast at the restaurant was varied, and we could even choose our preferred breakfast slot, which was super convenient for those of us who like to sleep in. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to the high-speed train station and a little sightseeing train that makes it easy to explore Island 1. All in all, the Oceana Resort is definitely the top choice when visiting Ocean Flower Island!

The lobby is grand and luxurious. The food selection is comprehensive and excellent. It's conveniently located and has a beautiful environment, especially the stunning night views. The wedding manor is romantic, and the ocean park is fun! Facilities are complete, hygiene is good, the environment is beautiful, and the service is great.
