Hotel berhampiran Bowman Park, Darwin

Stayed here with my family with young children while looking for a rental house. The cabin was great as an interim home, and the staff were fantastic. 100% recommend. Moved taking my children for walks and swimming in the different pools.

The Hudson is immaculate inside and out. Free secure parking is a bonus and the rooms have everything you need to be self contained for a short stay. It’s very fair value. Just be aware that there’s not much to do around the local area. The only restaurant I found was the Midway Tavern (700m away). There are takeaway places across the road. The building is a U shape and there’s a small pool in the middle with many balconies looking over it. I wish they had aircon remotes as the aircon switches off every time a balcony door is opened. The biggest highlight of this place is the staff. They are all super nice and go out of their way to help you and make you feel at home. I’ll go back just because of them 👍

We stayed 2 nights in Darwin resort with different bookings and different prices The resort was short of staff Therefore the first accomodatiion was not clean The second night was good The staff was very helpful when a door did not close properly immediately several technicians were sent to fix it The location is perfect if hyoid want to be close to darwin fannnie baye and close to the airport The location is next to a military base with planes coming over very low m as only in the morning and at the end of the day Overall we enjoyed our stay

A groovy little resort. We epecially loved our time around the pool, taking advantage, along with other guests, of the special little tropical cocktail bar. All of the reception staff were wonderful! They all went right out of their way to help us out in a situation caused by flight changes. Standout, was the girl on late night shift, Monday 29th August. Very happy with this place. We stayed here for 6 nights in an apartment. The first apartment we were in, was very nice modern, and a good size, the couch though was very low and uncomfortable to sit on, it was a click clack lounge. We also found the whole place was very dirty, the cleanliness was disgusting. There were dirty marks on the walls and cupboards, the floor was dirty, and the skirting boards have never been cleaned, the bedside tables were dirty, as was the drawers, I wiped them all down before putting our stuff in them, the bathroom cupboard had dead baby cockroaches in it, and smelt very strongly of insect spray. The bed was comfortable, but made a terrible noise when getting into it. The air conditioner in the lounge, did not work, because it was a public holiday they could not get an electrician, we were offered another room, which was a little smaller, so we said we would wait to the next day for the electrician, next day the electrician could not come, so one of the workers came and said he would clean it, after being cleaned, it still didn’t work, so we were offered another room, which we took. This apartment was bigger than the last, again it was very nice, they are modern, it’s a shame they are not cleaned and looked after. The same lounge, a click clack lounge, which is not comfy and too low. The floor next to the bed was disgusting, there was like orange juice or something orange and sticky, and also on the bedside table, so I cleaned that, but there was lots of dust balls on the floor and behind the curtains, the bathroom had mildew around the taps and sink hole, and around the toilet was not cleaned properly. there were dirty food marks around the dishwasher. The walls had dirty marks on them, and the skirting boards were also dirty. There is a laundry in the apartment, which was good. As for room service, I think we got it once the whole time we were there, and that was, replace our towels and empty the bin, the tea and coffee or the bathroom items were not replaced or refilled either. There were no blankets in the room, just a sheet on the bed, so we had to ask for a blanket. The noise in the corridors carry, Then there’s the staff at the reception desk ; there were a few different staff there each time we went, which were all not very courteous, and impolite. There is secure parking, but that comes at a cost also on top of your accommodation costs. The good thing is , the hotel is central, and walking distance to the mall, and supermarket across the road, and restaurants nearby. The downside is definitely the cleanliness , there is none. Very unhygienic.

The hotel is all right. Good location near Darwin CBD, nice staff. Loud doors easy to slam might disturb sleep

We stayed at Doubletree Esplanade Darwin (116) for 11 days. We booked there for the location and the pool. That did not disappoint. The pool is the best in the area. The bar and restaurant are an attraction too. We had opportunity to eat there after 12 hour days on tour. We were grateful for the good service and food. As a mature couple we also enjoyed drinks by the pool. As walkers we found it extremely easy due to the location to enjoy the Mitchell st eateries and the local sights. We were however disappointed that our “ Double Guest Plus - HIGHER FLOOR - Water/ocean views” room was a double room on the second floor. At least we weren’t near the lifts but with the late flights into Darwin other guests could be noisy arriving and departing at night. The room was not as clean as we expected and we did need to request a clean replacement towel on the first day due to a dirty one being folded and left in our bathroom. The reception staff were helpful when we requested robes, toilet paper and new towels. Having stayed at a Doubletree in Los Angeles before we had high expectations. That this was in Darwin and was expensive in comparison to places we have stayed in at Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore we did feel disappointed. Overall we would probably choose to stay there again as the staff attempted to address most issues.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. Dinushka Goonathalake looked after us very well. Having stayed for a conference a previous week we were most appreciative of a lovely room opening onto the park overlooking the bay on our return from adventuring in Arnem Land. Our room was always fresh and light, the bathroom modern. We appreciated access to open air from the small balcony. A good variety of teas was provided. The atmosphere was relaxed, suiting Darwin's tropical feel. Freshly prepared breakfast on the terrace or indoors and excellent coffee available if desired. Easily accessible morning & evening walks in the park along the bay to town and nearby restaurants was an added bonus.

Me & my husband loved it here, we stayed 3 nights but could have happily stayed much longer! We had an apartment with a king bed! It had everything you needed, I could have quite happily lived there, you have a full kitchen with microwave, hob, grill and oven. They provide washing up liquid, cloths, tea, coffee etc as well as soap , shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, they really have thought of everything! There was a shopping centre a 5 min walk away with a BWS too! The bus stop is a 1 min walk which was really handy, especially since transport is free until Jan 2023. I would 100% stay here again, it was a perfect stay and excellent value for money!
