Hotel berhampiran Long Park, Darwin

Stayed here with my family with young children while looking for a rental house. The cabin was great as an interim home, and the staff were fantastic. 100% recommend. Moved taking my children for walks and swimming in the different pools.

A groovy little resort. We epecially loved our time around the pool, taking advantage, along with other guests, of the special little tropical cocktail bar. All of the reception staff were wonderful! They all went right out of their way to help us out in a situation caused by flight changes. Standout, was the girl on late night shift, Monday 29th August. Very happy with this place. Beware this place is not of the standard you would expect from Travelodge ,we have stayed st some quality T/L's but this one is not one , its nothing like a ” resort ” ( maybe back a couple of decades ago ) the place is like an overgrown rainforest , dead foliage everywhere dirty mildew paths , two pools, the main one open till late but unlit ,quite dangerous actually , both had spas (as advertised ) but non operating with no controls to be found ( and no staff to ask ) poolside Bar ( yes it has one ) but never open , no food no poolside service ( cans of coke at the reception ) resteraunt closed and not available except breakfast . Our room which was quite expensive ( we were happy to pay , after all its supposed to be a 4 star resort ). (LOL) room was likened to a 70s country motel you use for a sleep over , only 2 power plugs beside bed , one was extremely dangerous ,, and had black fixing marks around the points and plug kept falling out , not able to charge phones , mildew in shower and around fridge , no views of anything except mould around the carpark shades , we were booked for tours 6am out front for three days and 9 pm return , to early for the breakfast room, to late to go anywhere for tea , and this part of Darwin is a bid dodgy at that time of night , the T/L is located directly opposite woollies however a large mod of traditional owners hang around the entrance to BWS and a few guards , this is where we got our late night tea from ( only option) The ”resort ” is a gated hotel , thank god management did not fix the mould or the dangerous plug , they offered a room change at a extra $30/40 apx , but a smokers room it stunk , we offered $20 a night for it and they said no , all in all we loved our trip to Darwin but this hotel was very disappointing ( and I'm restraining from saying what it really wad like believe me) they offered us a $400 credit for our issues but because we booked through a travel agent , that was not possible , a bottle of wine was offered , we don't drink wine, do the other offer wad 2 ,TWO cans of coke ., so make your own mind up whether you would bother to stay there

My stay here was marred by the unnecessarily long check in process involving paperwork that could have been done electronically during the booking process - and my ongoing annoyance at being charged an additional $100 security bond at check in. All in the middle of the night, for a prepaid booking. Was assured the $100 would be refunded the next day, but 5 days later it hasn't been. Phoned the reception to enquire and was told by a rude receptionist that it was my banks problem and that they are entitled to charge this fee ”in case I damaged the room”. I haven't ever been charged more than a $1 holding fee before, so am not impressed with this ”management policy”, particularly given the room was prepaid. The actual room was clean and comfortable, a light breakfast is included which is good value. Parking is an additional charge - it would be very difficult to park here with a large 4WD, the spaces are tiny. I'm really disappointed that the management processes seem to be all about not trusting guests and making staying there a complex process...it's actually a nice hotel that is thoughtfully set up for short stay travellers, but I left with a bad feeling and feel sorry for the night reception staff who have to enforce ”policy”. Everywhere these days there are signs up about abuse not being tolerated...being combative towards paying customers isn't helpful.

Great Location and overall fine. Service to room was a little adhoc with them doing it some days but not others ..stayed 7 days.

A great little gem in Darwin. Simple, but clean, very comfortable and a great pool. Great communication and very friendly and helpful staff. The kids were a bit scared of the squeaky bunk beds which need a tightening up but they slept fine eventually. Right in the heart of town and includes parking. Very handy. Will stay again.

Friendly service and easy checkin - breakfast good and convenient. Pool nice and relaxing area. Walk to everything - enjoyable spot.

I liked the garden and sit out at night rather than most hotels you just have a room maybe a balcony but with garden all around you it's great

I was very happy with all services provided. Thank you to all the staff. Helped me out on a few occasions. Even after ours. Again much appreciated.
