酒店的位置很好，就在雲岡石窟景區內部，汽車從大門進去還要開七八分鐘，因為去的時候比較晚，已經天黑了，前面一段還有點害怕。到了酒店，因為非節假日，空盪盪的，害怕+1，索性遇到了一羣北京來的孩子研學，熱熱鬧鬧的一下子就有了人氣。匆匆忙忙點了一些簡單的飯菜，出乎意料的好吃，服務人員很熱情呢，拉麪師傅誇他一句他可開心了，都感染到了我們，一口冰啤酒一口刀削麪再來沾滿了湯汁的牛肉，足以妥帖的安置飢腸轆轆。房間超級大，床和枕頭上山西之旅四個酒店最舒服的，熱水很大洗澡非常舒服，值得一提的是我很喜歡他們家洗漱用品的包裝袋，黑色中帶着亮閃很有質感。唯一的是進門到房間台階有幾個，重箱子提拉不是很方便，我也不好意思讓前台小姑娘給我提。。。酒店門口有慢充，好評，給我的增程解決了後顧之憂。第二天遊玩，我本來想把車開下去下面的停車場，結果就開到景區大門外了，收費處的小姐姐得知我是住店的還沒開始玩、沒有收我錢又讓我進來了，很有温度呢。可惜我進來之後，景區停車場無人收費，酒店給我的停車券沒有用到，還是給了停車費，不過有長者小孩方便到了，還是很開心的。

下了高速之後開了十幾公里山路，一直以為沒房子了，然後看到這樣的民宿，沒想到進來之後屋裡特別暖和，裝潢非常好且乾淨，真沒想到這樣的山區有這麼好的房子，太有反差他！晚上屋外-9度，沒想到屋裡不開空調都很暖，不愧是太原啊！而且這個玻璃格局冷空氣的效果也太好了。
位置離雲岡石窟很近，唯一不好的就是離市區十幾公里，外賣送不到

我到大同旅遊，訂了這家酒店，確實訂出了驚喜，酒店乾淨整潔，邊邊角角都一塵不染，設施齊全而且特別新，全屋智能管理，馬桶都是電動的，還配有小冰箱，床品潔白乾凈，住着放心舒適，一夜好眠😴環境優美舒適，一樓大廳還有一個休息區，沒事兒可以坐到那裡發發呆，很是愜意，前台人員服務熱情周到，辦理入住特別迅速，有求必應，非常貼心，每次出入都問好，讓人感到心情愉悦。早餐品種豐富，特別是羊雜湯麪超級好吃😋我是自駕遊，酒店停車方便，是自駕遊朋友的最佳選擇，以後再來大同旅遊還會選擇該酒店，也會推薦給身邊的朋友，親身感受，到大同旅遊的朋友們，沖吧，選擇該酒店絕對不踩坑。

第一次來大同，本是帶着對古城的嚮往而來，
卻意外被一家四合院民宿，圈成了長久的偏愛。
玖合裏藏在古城正南門最核心的位置，鬧中取靜，
不是向上延伸的樓宇，而是地面一層、地下兩層的傳統四合院格局，
青磚黛瓦，木構迴廊，庭院疏朗，光影錯落，
把中式建築的雅緻、現代居住的舒適、精緻細膩的設計，融為一體。
整院僅9間房，露晞、未雨、閑晝、何晚、春休、日暮、雲汀、無事、清荷，
每一間都有詩意，少而精，靜而美，一踏入便心生安穩。

取自《詩經》“湛湛露斯，匪陽不晞”，晨光清露，澄澈温柔。
推門即是庭院，落地窗將天光與綠意引入室內，

PPengguna TetamuI can’t stop raving about this inn. It is a B&B style three stories tall inn located inside the Datong Ancient City. Complimentary shuttle service between the airport or railway station made it really convenient for out of town travelers. The guest room was clean and equipped with modern facilities like automatic toilets, coded entry, projection screens, etc. The inn is located near the north gate of the city amongst other accommodations. Within minutes of walking is access to the top of the city wall where bike rental is available to ride along the wall. The inn is very quiet at night. The inn is family operated and everyone was very hospitable. What sets this inn apart from other accommodations in the area is their dedication to service. The owner knew I was a tourist and new to the area, she offered to pick me up if I got lost wandering the ancient city. The breakfast came with my reservation. When the owner found out I had to depart before breakfast serving hours, she went above and beyond to prepare food and served me 30 minutes ahead of schedule. The food tasted amazing and came with abundant varieties and huge portions. It was definitely not part of the service to drop off at another venue, but the owner took me to my next accommodation 2km away. I truly appreciate everything this inn and its staff has done for me. I am so glad to have chosen to stay this beautiful little inn on my first night in Datong. I will definitely stay here again without a doubt on my next visit.

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel combines the convenience of modern high tech with the spiritual beauty of traditional culture. The rooms themselves are constructed around courtyards that give a sense of what life might have been like in Datong many centuries ago. In the lobby and in the rooms, murals decorate the walls with elegant designs of birds or flowers. The cabinets, bench, and floors made of wood and the countertops made of marble work together well and draw on design choices that are classicly, universally appealing. At the same time, the entire room is wired with the amenties of modernity. The toilet has a seat warmer and a light that turns on when you lift the lid so that you can find it in the middle of the night. Similarly, there seem to be motion-sensitive lights throughout the room that light up when you walk in the middle of the night so that you can find your way around. The water in the shower and the bathtub is able to get very hot (which I love!) and has high pressure. There is also a top-of-the-line hair dryer. It's the perfect blend of high tech and traditional amenities! If I have one complaint it's that the room was so hot that I had to open my window to let in the freezing air, and still the room was hot! That shows how effective the heating system is!
The serivce at the hotel is also extraordinary! All the members of hotel reception are very friendly. And they send someone to your room shortly after you settle in to give you a platter of fruit, which was fresh and seasonal and artistically chosen it seems. They also have 24 hours service in case you need anything. My friend went into the lobby early in the morning shouting about coffee, and the staff came out quickly to make him a cup.
The hotel is also very clean. The blankets, the pillows, and the sheets are as white as snow. The floors are free of dust and dirt and smudges. Everything in the shower and toilet room was scrubbed clean too. And the shower drains smoothly without pooling any water, showing how well it is maintained.
Finally, the location is very convenient. You can see that for yourself by just looking at the map. But I would like to add that just outside the gate of the hotel, you can see the Prince's palace, which is beautifully lit at night. What's more, my favorite restaurant in downtown Datong (I think the restaurant is translated as BeiWei Family Garden or something like that) is less than 5 minutes walking from the gate. There are also multiple shops for buying vinegar or wine or shaji snacks. In less than 10 minutes, you can also walk to all the major commercial streets. I love the location of this hotel!

PPengguna TetamuThe location is perfect in the centre of the city. You can reach all the attractions by foot. We had a room with the balcony and even if we did not use it that much it had a really nice “mood” and was really cozy. The room was clean and they also brought us some fresh fruit in the afternoon which was really appreciated and refreshing. The hotel is situated on the road which makes it easy to reach with the taxi if you have the luggages but at night is really quite. The staff was nice and does not speak English but with the translator you can easily overcome it.

JJoyce CPCThis hotel is located in the heart of the ancient city of Datong. Although there were few steps of staircase leading to the entrance of the hotel and the reception was on level 2 and our room type was only available on the 3rd level. Upon check in the hotel staff by the name of Xiao Guo was very helpful and she helped us to carry our luggages to our room at level 3.. There was a small window in our room overseeing the street. The room was spacious and very clean. All corners, fixtures and furnitures in our room were wiped very clean. All amenities were provided inside the room too. The bed mattress and pillow were soft and very comfortable. Body gel, hair shampoo, hair conditioner, hand wash and clothing detergent were all good quality. 2 water bottles, toothbrush, hair comb and slippers were provided in the room. There were space to hang our winter clothing and also washed socks and inner wears. The air-conditioner was superb as it can be adjusted to 4 types of air:normal, wet reduction, cold air and warm air, hence it made our stay more comfortable. There was also an air freshener machine in the room to refresh the air inside the room. So far this is the cleanest hotel room throughout all my China trips. The housekeeper was friendly and ensure the room being cleaned up daily. Overall, I would like to compliment the hotel staff by the name of Xiao Guo for her hospitality and kindness in helping us when we asked her for any information about Datong and places to eat. Xiao Guo always smilling and her warmness has let us felt very welcomed as a hotel guest. Another compliment was to be given to the housekeeper old lady who really did a great job to ensure the cleanliness of our hotel room and the entire hotel public areas. Highly recommended this hotel to all tourist.

PPengguna TetamuThe entire experience is really fantastic. For foreigners coming to China, I would recommend stopping by Datong and staying in this guesthouse. The owner is extremely friendly, providing pick up and drop off service for my family with elderly parents. There is no need to worry about the language barrier as she does her best to make the experience as comfortably as she can. She also sent us to a nearby famous hotpot restaurant. Rose tea and fruits are served every night and her 刀削面 for breakfast is the best I had of all the noodles I ate in China. It’s a very homely feel and I would want to go back again. The bed is very comfortable, with Dyson hair dryer and warm water works well. There is a bidet and elevator in the guesthouse. Wonderful experience and ps: this is not a paid review 😆

Location is in the pedestrianized part of the old city, very near the Drum Tower. Therefore, there is lots to see/do/eat while walking nearby. But the location is also not far from the driving road, so it was an easy, short walk to meet my driver when going out to the hanging temple, the grottos, and the train station. The facility is an old-style courtyard home, with a beautiful wood-beam ceiling. The interior rooms are completely renovated and modernized, with great water pressure, all necessary toiletries, an excellent quality hair dryer, slippers, and super air-con/heating! (It was -3 one night during my stay, but I was warm and comfy in that room!) Clean towels are brought daily. Breakfast was included in my stay and I was very happy with the food. It is an ample Chinese-style breakfast, and you can inform the cook if there is some food you don't/can't eat. Although the breakfast was plenty of food for me, I saw a guest ask for more baozi, and he was kindly given 2 more. Fresh fruit was also offered for free several times during my stay.
Within a 5 minute radius (walking), there are many eating places for lunch, dinner, snacks, and tea/coffee. There are also numerous historical sites (dragon wall, temples, ”mansions”, the Catholic Church, etc.) in easy walking distance. In fact, there was so much to see nearby that I was not able to see everything! The homestay looks very charming, and many, many people were often seen stopping to take photos in front of the homestay, as well as on the back wall of the homestay, which is next to a Chinese Opera stage--it is especially lovely at night! It is a 10-15 minute walk to the ancient city wall, where you can climb up and enjoy the sights, or visit a (Chinese) bookstore within the city wall, under one of the arches.
My Beijing friends, who stayed at a nearby hotel, were equally impressed when they came to visit me in Yishui homestay, and they got the WeChat contact so that they can return to stay at Yishui homestay on a return trip--so easy to get there by fast train from Beijing!

PPengguna TetamuWe took a 23-day trip through China, staying in 9 different hotels. Without hesitation, I can say that our stay at Floral stood out in many ways. First, the hotel's structure is very beautiful and has been renovated while staying true to the traditional style of the region. The hotel room itself was probably the most beautiful we had seen on our entire trip: spacious, with windows that actually opened, good air conditioning, and modern decor and furniture without being over the top. Second, the hotel's location is within the boundaries of the city wall and is part of the old town, so beautiful to walk around and see the traditional houses - many of them renovated according to the traditional style. And third and most importantly, the kindness of the people who work at the hotel. I have never felt so welcome anywhere on holiday as at this place. Unfortunately, I arrived with health problems and needed antibiotics - equivalents of the ones I had brought from Europe. I asked the reception where I could find the closest pharmacy, but rather than guiding me there, Xiao Liu, the lady at the reception, figured out for me which antibiotic would be the right one and got it for me. The same when we needed a suitcase, rather than sending me to the shop she inquired about our desired suitcase and in one hour it was there. Drinks are complementary at any time of the day, and the breakfast (Chinese and international - sandwiches) was generous and unlimited. When we were running late coming back from the grottoes and needed to catch a train, Xiao Liu helped us out by bringing us all our suitcases directly to the train station. We will never forget all these acts of kindness and we are still grateful to her and the entire hotel staff for making us feel so much at home. Datong will stay in our minds and hearts forever thanks to the people of the Floral hotel. Datong is special enough for all the incredible cultural sights you can visit - but our stay there will never be forgotten thanks to the beauty of the Floral Hotel and its amazing people. PPengguna TetamuI was greeted with a fruit platter during check-in, which was a wonderful welcome gesture considering I left my home about 24 hours earlier, traveling non-stop from California to Datong, China. The Inn provides a wonderful experience for the first-time foreign visitor. The interior decor has that Chinese charm consisting of artwork, a book display, an aquarium with an auspicious collection of 8 large fishes (carp, I think), in-room tea set with an on-table electric stove, which would be unique to most Westerners. The glass flooring adds an extraordinary appeal since I have never experienced that in a hotel before, and I have traveled to dozens of countries.
The Inn is well located, a short bus ride to Datong Railway Station (for non-high-speed rail travel)*, and a short taxi ride to Datong South Railway Station (for high-speed rail travel)**. It is just next to Datong City Wall. You can walk along the top of the City Wall at no cost. A 10-20 minute walk takes you to nearly all the attractions within the ancient City Wall. Here you will also find a variety of restaurants serving local food as well as souvenir shops. There is also a small shop that sells sundry items including drinks (beer included) within a 5-minute walk from the Inn. Across from this sundry shop, is a shop that specializes in ancient Chinese clothing (Hanfu dress). They can dress you up, cosmetics included.
The Inn provides directions to Yujian Yun Gang - a popular destination for travelers to Datong. Here you will see ancient Buddhist cave art, including large and tall (several stories tall) sculptures. It takes two bus rides to get there, 1RMB per ride.
My booking choice was for either a guest room on the 1st or 2nd floor but was assigned a wonderful 2nd-floor guest room.
The owners of the Inn were exceptionally friendly. I met both the mother and her daughter. My room was professionally cleaned and provided with drinking bottled water daily.
If I return to Datong in the future, I will certainly book a room at this Inn.
*I took a train from this station to travel south to Xinzhou after checking out.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is in a commercial building where many tenants have moved out. It feels deserted. Except for its neighbour Han Ting hotel and the minimart beside, there does not seem to have any activity.
The staff are friendly enough. There is no public toilet for the hotel guests. Guests could only use the toilets in their hotel rooms or use the public toilet on the first floor which is disgustingly dirty. It is a hassle for guests whose flight or train is in the evening after checking out in the daytime. I had to use another hotel's toilet in the evening.
The hotel room's shower curtains have frayed at the edge, are a little mouldy and need to be replaced. I suspect that as it is a budget hotel, the management don't care. But the room and its toilet are clean.
On food, the hotel is small so they work with an eatery outside to provide breakfast if you have breakfast included in your stay. The breakfast options are limited so it is better to go out and buy breakfast. To my surprise, there are no breakfast eateries nearby! One has to walk until the cross junction where one sees the Datong Railway Station before there are some eateries. Or, one can walk in the direction towards the Datong Ancient City and along the way, there are some restaurants and eateries. EatWheat 东方削面 is authentic in its local flavour.
The hotel location is near the Datong Ancient City. If you are up for a bit of walk, it is possible to walk there.
If there is an emergency, please go to 三医院 The Third Hospital which is the nearest public hospital with all facilities available. The rest of the hospitals nearby may not be fully equipped.
