Comfort Inn & Suites, Dayville CT Where to begin… this hotel is ok. It’s the only name brand hotel in this area. So, not a lot of choice, but to stay there. And, this proprietor knows it. Their rates are high, even if you feel like you are getting a good rate. The hotel is old and outdated and reeks of cigarette smoke even though they profess to be a smoke free property. Upon my arrival, there was no one at the front desk. There is a sign directing you to call a phone number to check in. When we called the number, the front desk phone started ringing. Someone answered from somewhere else on the property. We were told that they’d be with us in a moment. They took their time coming to the front desk. They looked like we were inconveniencing them. Amy, was her name. She was unapologetic. We then had a question about our rate and she couldn’t help us. Again, no apology. So, in the end, I ended up paying $300 for one night in an outdated hotel in the middle of nowhere that reeks of cigarette smoke with a cranky front desk staff. Pros - the room didn’t smell of cigarette smoke thankfully and was clean and comfortable. There is an indoor swimming pool that looked nice. It is located right off of the highway (Rte 395). Town is about 10 mins away which is where you’ll find gas stations, shopping, and a few restaurants.

My review 12 days after checking out of the Quality Inn at 55 Lathrop Rd in Plainfield Connecticut. First, be sure to sign up for the FREE Choice Privileges Reward Program right now. At the very least, it will qualify you for preferential parking close to the entrance. I completely forgot I was a member, but thankfully I did earn points after checking out because my info was in the computer system. Personally, I think the staff should have checked the system the day I made my reservations, not after I paid and left... TAKE NOTE... If possible, book your stay on the Choice Hotels website for the BEST price available. In my haste of wanting an air-conditioned room for a couple nights during a Summer power outage at my home, I called the Lathrop Rd facility direct. I did ask the woman who took my reservation if they had a special rate for people experiencing the widespread power outage, which some hotels were doing at the time. She told me the rate she quoted WAS a discounted price, which I'm learning today was almost DOUBLE the rate shown on the Choice Hotels website. Insert disappointed face here. With a power failure, I couldn't access the web to do my homework. I was also NOT informed at check-in that a Continental Breakfast was included with my stay. Due to COVID restrictions, the dining area was not open; but the male clerk did ask me if I wanted to take a breakfast with me. I was caught off-guard and ready to head home, so I declined. Having stayed 2 nights, I missed out on 2 free breakfasts. Speaking for myself and other customers, we don't like being hit in the wallet for ANY reason, which is how I'm feeling after the fact. Now for the good news... This is a two-story building with a sparkling clean outdoor pool, maximum depth 5-feet. I stayed two nights in Room 111, which is at the furthest end of the hallway on ground level. The room was facing the main parking lot. Considering I-395 and the exit ramp are fairly close the hotel, and the fact my room was located near the self-serve laundry, the vending machines and the ice machine, which are all used by the entire facility, noise was not an issue for me. Maybe the air-conditioner muffled the sound? I did hear the person walking in the room above me a few times. The room itself was spacious, comfortable and clean, with one king size bed and a sofa that opened to a bed if needed. There was a small refrigerator, microwave, 1-cup coffeemaker, a full length mirror, an ironing board with a steam iron, and an ice bucket. I liked that the table lamps had electric outlets on their bases for ease in charging my cell etc... The room didn't have a radio/alarm clock, but I didn't need one anyway. Immediately noticeable when entering the bathroom was the very worn finish of the toilet seat, otherwise everything felt and looked clean. The bathroom had a huge wall mirror and a hairdryer. Baru-baru ini saya menginap di Hampton Inn di Smithfield RI. Ini adalah percutian tempatan satu malam untuk saya mempunyai sedikit masa bersendirian, menyelesaikan kerja, dan berehat. Saya sering tinggal di Hiltons tetapi tidak di lokasi tertentu. Langsung dari kelawar saya dapati orang meja itu pemarah, pendek dengan saya, dan tidak ramah, Belum lagi bahawa ketika saya tiba, saya mesti menunggunya di meja kerana dia berada di luar, Setelah menetap di bilik saya, wifi tidak dapat diakses. Saya mencuba beberapa kali dan tidak ada isyarat yang cukup kuat untuk menghubungkan komputer saya. Bukan sahaja ini mengecewakan tetapi juga tidak membenarkan saya menyelesaikan kerja yang telah saya rancangkan. Bilik di atas saya terdengar seperti boling sepanjang malam sehingga tidur tidak dapat dilakukan. Pada waktu pagi tv tidak lagi berfungsi, Nampaknya ada pepijat dengan jam yang tertinggal atau sesuatu. Kemudian, semasa pergi, tidak ada seorang pun di meja untuk diajak bercakap - hanya kotak untuk memasukkan kunci bilik plastik anda untuk membasmi kuman. Secara keseluruhan, ia adalah penginapan yang sangat mengecewakan dan saya tidak akan kembali,

Ini adalah hotel yang sangat baik. Walaupun ia sebuah hotel kecil, kami berasa lebih baik dan berasa seperti kami dilayan dengan lebih baik di pertubuhan ini. Ini adalah hotel terbaik yang pernah kami kunjungi setakat ini. Ia tenang dan kakitangannya penuh hormat dan mesra, dan perkhidmatan mereka sangat baik. Katilnya selesa dan sistem penghawa dingin berfungsi dengan sempurna. Semuanya bersih dan cantik.

Saya benar-benar menyukai tempat ini bersih dan perkhidmatannya hebat, saya kehilangan vape saya (80 $) / saya tinggalkan di atas meja kerana saya memberitahu anak perempuan saya untuk merebutnya dan dia lupa sehingga ketika saya memanggil mereka tidak tahu di mana ia jadi jangan tinggalkan apa-apa tapi secara keseluruhan saya akan tinggal lagi
