Wellness Hotel Chopok

TLDR version based on July 2023 +beautiful location and area + beautiful spa area and big enough gym, nice outdoor area. + for kids lots of events and things to do + breakfast choice (pancakes every 2 days) + nice large pool - Least friendly staff in Slovakia? - Sauna only open select hours: 16:00 until 20:00 -nothing to do in case of bad weather ( since sauce doesn't open until 1600!) - all inclusive dinner is small and expensive for the quality ( compared to other places in the area) - expensive alcohol on site, and cocktails had almost no alcohol in them. Long version we arrived during a terrible week in summer, only rain and 13-18 degrees all week. upon arrival when speaking English to the staff, you instantly get a "we dont like tourists that don't speak our language" vibe. the receptionist was very unfriendly. the room was ok, nice view over the mountains from the balcony. we didn't use this much since neighbors smoked so much ours smelled like cigarettes all the time. the breakfast was nice, they only do pancakes every other day, but overall pretty good choice. dinner was less, nothing bad, but for that price you can get better food and much larger portions. They do have a cheese bar so you can fill up on cheese if you are hungry. if you have kids, this is a good option, for adults do NOT take full inclusive, use your car to go to nicer places. the Spa area is lovely, but it only opens at 16:00 and closes at 20:00 ( when we were there in summer, since you can only eat between 6 and 9, that doesn't leave much time left ( especially if you aren't in the restaurant early, the waiting time takes ages) on our third day, it was 12 degrees and rainstorm ( all mountain access was closed) , we couldn't go out, and we couldn't use sauna because it didn't open, it really felt like a wasted vacation. We booked this hotel because in case of storm we could use sauna, but if its closed.. ( opening times are mentioned on their site though, we didnt think they would actually do it) I only advise this place for people who: speak Slovak, have many kids and don't really care about the food.

The hotel is OK so far. The higher an employee is in the hierarchy, the more unwilling he is to help. They may smile at you politely and nicely, but the person is completely indifferent to the problems and requests you make. The staff in the restaurant are extremely polite and eager to help. That's why they only earn a fraction of the management, because their unwillingness has to be rewarded accordingly.

Slečny na revepcii s okysnutymi tvarami, spravali sa ako roboty.perfect food ,in room I missed bottle of waters, kaffemaschine. In another hotels is it on the based.wiffi is not same in all part of hotel

Very nice personnel, rooms were spacious, clean and serviced daily, tasty & fresh breakfast with many choices, nice swimming pool with wellness, rich programme for kids (thanks to amazing animators!) ... nice overall environment of Demanovska dolinea - very good choice for families, we will definitively return

We have spent a long weekend at the hotel, and I would recommend this place if you are travelling with young kids, but it is not ideal for a romantic stay. They have great stuff for families with young children. In many reviews I read negative stuff regarding hospitality and bad food experience, but we did not see this. The waiters during meals were great, and as we are not picky eaters, we were happy with food and beverages. I would like to point out only one thing though that we feel that the hotel could put more focus on and that is regarding wellness - sauna. We feel that it is weird that the name of the hotel is Wellness Hotel, but the saunas are only working from 16:00. There is a notice on the sauna entry door that says no entry for kids under 12, but parents do not follow this instruction and hotel staff does not monitor this. And honestly we did not enjoy the saunas when kids were running around and definetely killed the relaxing romantic weekend.

Really good hotel for short ski in Chopok. Good areas for children ! Hotel offer free buses for lifts , works wery well in that case. Swiming pool , sauna, gym were well organized . Generally I was 100% satysfied

Hotel Chopok is a really good family hotel with lots of activities. There are 4 pool tables plus some 10 pin bowling lanes. There are two spas one for families and the other for adults. The adult spa has 2 saunas, 2 steam baths, a large swimming pool and jacuzzi and is really peaceful. The rooms are quite large and well cleaned. The food is good with a buffet breakfast and a set dinner with a choice of 3 main courses plus a salad bar. There is also some entertainment in the evening. With hotel minibuses taking you to the slopes every half an hour what more would you want. We've been here 5 times and would definitely recommend to everyone

We were in hotel with family probably 10th time and our stay were very pleasant as always. We plan to return to hotel in summer for another vacation. Restuarant and service in Restaurant was great. Thank you hotel Chopok!

We had a very nice stay after being away 3 years because of corona. Sadly the breakfast was not as good any more, as compared to before. Same food every day. Otherwise, all good and special thanks to animator Andrea for entertaining and giving attention to our kids 😊
