If we had nothing to compare it to, I would say it was a good stay. But, compared to 5 years ago, the customer service and the quality of the site has gone down and is outdated. We still remember a lot of the old staff who made us feel welcomed like family, that was not the feel we received this vacation. First we booked the night before knowing our flight was coming in early morning. Had to go back and forth with the receptionist checking us in just for her to see we were correct and able to check in our room. Our room phone did not work- they finally fixed it the night before check out, so going down to the lobby 3 times (over a course of 2 days) to ask for towel exchanges was a huge inconvenience. Which, was met by a “you have to pay to exchange towels” and a passive aggressive stance as if she were expecting an argument from us. Let me say, Imeri- that was probably the biggest let down from our trip. For us to be inconvenienced multiple times just to receive attitude for wanting fresh towels. Visiting neighboring hotels for dinner, the food, ambience, and facilities here could use some improvements. For some positives, we loved seeing Sala and Va every morning for our coffee and pastries. That was the best part of our hotel stay. The greeters at the front, always happy and singing and checking in to make sure we were having a good day. We love passing by them every morning for a quick Bula or funny banter. Please keep them, they add value to the holiday experience.
