Hotel Indigo Detroit Downtown, an IHG Hotel

This was a great place for me to support my last minute need. Very nice Staff especially Dave ( I think that was his name).

Trip was for Lions 1st Playoff Home Game at Ford Field & the hotel stay was excellent. Was very impressed with Downtown Detroit. Have no problem staying here again in the future.... Close to alot of good bars & restaurants & also the Waterfront. p.s. Coney Island Hotdog place around the corner came in handy also.

We had a great stay. Everyone that worked there was super friendly and helpful. It is in a great location for walking downtrown area. Easy in/out for valet parking. Quiet hotel at night.

The concierge was a very pleasant man and answered all the questions I asked about the area and public transportation. The valet parking service was an excellent and very appreciated service after a long drive on terrible roads. The attached restaurant had wonderful and friendly staff with excellent food. Would recommend!

Staff was very friendly. Hotel is located downtown close to all major attractions and venues.

The parking was assigned to a company that you never can called to issue any wrong deduction! The customer service was not cooperative as we asked for an extra blankets, they apologized to serve us with any! The bathroom situation is not fine as there wasn’t a firm door, it was a slide one!! The only thing that was good, they canceled our extra booked days easily! Not recommended

There are two positive things about this hotel - friendly staff and fast Internet. That’s where it ends, unfortunately. I was told I had to valet park my car only to discover there is a $10 lot down the street. Speaking of the valet, they charged me up front for two nights and then questioned me after the first request to retrieve my car. I had to show an email receipt. On the last day, the valet parked my car in the right lane, not in the drive and left my front door wide open. Someone in the left lane nearly missed hitting it and honked. I was initially placed in a room next to elevators. They were so loud that is sounded like a train was going through my room when they passed. I got to switch rooms but I noticed both were dusty and stuffy. The shower windows had streaks. The bedding smelled like chlorine. And the ice maker in the hall buzzed loudly on and off. Speaking of, the room next to me had a drunk guy that talked loud and slept through a beeping alarm. When I let the front desk know, she said there were a lot of bars nearby. I smiled, told her I had stayed in Vegas recently, along with 6 other hotels, and never experienced so much racket. Could she do something? Walls are paper thin, so I could hear an argument in another room. One of the maids had her music blasting in the hall the final morning. This is a far cry from The Siren, where I stayed the week before and recommend. In fact, I would stay at a Motel 6 before ever returning here. Terrible, overall.

We arrived to check-in at 6 pm. We were told our rooms were not cleaned yet. So, we attended the NFL football game in town and returned to the hotel at 12 am to check-in and were told once again, our rooms were not ready yet. After continuing to give us the runaround, the hotel finally admitted that they have oversold the hotel for that night and they did not have any rooms available for us. So, we requested our money be refunded and then we had to drive 2.5 hours at 1:30 am in the morning. I have been an IHG Rewards Member for over 15 years and have never been treated like this. It's been over 48 hours since this happened and we are STILL waiting for our refund!
