The staff was rude from the very first phone call. Refused to take our reservation over the phone. When we arrived we found out there was a $100 deposit that was required-talked to others in our group-they were not charged that fee. I tried to talk to the girl at the front desk she wanted no part of listening to me. Our entire group ( we were there for state wrestling finals) and our keys were all uncoded for our 2nd night. So after a long day we ALL had to go to the office and get new keys. The rooms were dirty-very dirty. Hair in the shower, our friends room had glass on the flower and messages left from Valentines Day on the counter. Almost no hot water-the front desk person had no way to get extra towels. Rooms had 2 towels with a 4 person occupancy. We tried to book somewhere else but due to the wrestling finals we couldn’t find any other place with availability. This is not a Baymont standard hotel and we are very dissatisfied. I will be disputing these charges with my bank.

This place is a total dump. Well located but the room was disgusting. Trash in the drawers and the carpet was sticky. Smelled like death. On the plus side, plenty of hot water.

The hotel is a bit dated, it feels like the 1990s. There needs to be more outlets in the room. It is an excellent location.

The furniture was badly scratched and damaged. The carpet was nearly worn out. The desk chair fabric was worn, and even the trashcans were rusted inside. Overall, the room needed to be remodeled. My room was cleaned once after the first day of a five-day stay. The cleaning staff didn't come until 2:30-3 pm on days three and four. I attended training classes and events between 9 am and 2 pm. I will probably not book a room at a Wyndham Hotel again. I should have taken photos.

Nice hotel. We just stayed one night coming from flight from Europe and next day we were off early so I can’t comment too much on position but the hotel is very nice

Great second time stay in Detroit here. Originally visited here in October 2022 to catch a devils red wings game at little Caesar’s arena due to to close proximity to this venue. Had a pleasant stay here although was super short as I arrived mid afternoon and left very early morning next day. I decided to book again for another devils red wings hockey game event at little Caesar’s arena in January 2023 and was even more impressed with this stay. Upon arriving at 3, first encounter was with valet to drop off my car. Very pleasant and made me feel quite welcomed (note there is only valet parking here and there is an extra fee for this). Then stopped by the front desk to see if a room was available to check in and the front desk manager (can’t recall the name) was so pleasant and provided and alternate room To check into immediately. It was an upgrade due to diamond status and the room didn’t disappoint at all. Additionally reminded me about the food and beverage credit and breakfast in the morning and went out of his way to provide some snacks and bereaves due to the unexpected delay with the computer system taking a while to process the keycard (thank you!!). Room itself was corner king suite - clean and large room perfect to unwind a little while before heading out the game. Little Caesar’s Arena is short walk to and from. Next morning stopped by for breakfast which again didn’t disappoint and the server / hostess made me feel welcome and as if I was at home! Had a fresh omelette made with some waffles coffee snd potatoes. All fresh, tasty and filling. Overall can’t say enough positive things about this location and the staff, and look forward to my next Detroit stay here.

Location is perfectly placed downtown Detroit, close to restaurants and the stadiums. Room was beautiful, spacious and large bathroom (stayed in a king suite). Valet service was professional and courteous (really liked that they have a bag drop in case you arrive prior to check in) My only downside was one of the employees at the front desk. The male was unhelpful and very rude. The females we spoke to during the evening and following morning were kind, courteous and VERY HELPFUL!
