Hotel Devonport dengan Sarapan

We knew this was budget accommodation and weren't expecting anything fancy, but we did expect to get a good nights sleep. Boy, how wrong we were. We were put right next to the laundry room, so with paper thin walls we had washing machines and dryers going all night on one side and a group of extremely loud people on the other side. With one shared outdoor area - right out the front next to the cars, we could hear every word the group said (sounded more like yelling) and we could smell their cigarette smoke coming in under the door. We ended up having to bunch up the towels and shove them under the huge gap below the door, although this didn't really seem to help. When they finally went to bed we could continue to hear them talking and every move they made. The car park is a nighmare, there are no designated spaces so people were parking anywehere and everywhere, and came and went all night long. We could hear car doors slammed out the front of our room every hour. The inside was nicer than expected, but with no powerpoint next to the bed, a rock hard bed and the buzzing fridge were all very annoying. Would never stay here again, and would recommend you avoid it too.

A wonderfull experience had! Elegant home, decorated and furnished with antiques throughout. Rooms warm and inviting, again beautifully furnished with antiques. A very comfortable bed, slept soundly. A large relaxing verandah offering a quiet place to sit, have a drink and to enjoy the view all day long! Great location, easy short walk to town centre. Delicious breakfast included. Highly recommended!!

This review is based on a lunch visit (we were not staying at the hotel). Hubby ordered fish & chips which was GENEROUSLY served with four fish pieces, chips, salad & tartare. He was super happy. I ordered a chicken roulade which was tasty (not as generous but enough for lunch!) and had a yummy garlic sauce. Both meals for just over $50. Icy cold drinks also at reasonable prices. They were overrun with seniors for lunch - because they offer meals for $12.50, what a bargain. Pity we don’t qualify 😋

My partner and i stayed here only a few days ago in a king studio apartment and it was absolutely fantastic .It would be one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in .Lovely furnishings and super comfy bed all very new.We had a deck out front with outdoor setting overlooking the river even did a spot of fishing while sitting back having a beer or two .It was so peaceful here we just loved it .The whole apartment was very roomy the bathroom huge.There is also a cafe onsite which serves breakfast and lunch although we used the apartment facilities to cook our own food ,Did get a coffee and cake though which was good .Would highly recommend staying here it was supurb

I had a very enjoyable stay at the Formby Hotel in Devonport. The staff were welcoming and friendly and happy to help with things like carrying my luggage up the stairs. The room was light, clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the en suite was bright and lovely with plenty of hot water. The room had a great view of the river and the Spirit of Tasmania. Downstairs there is a nice restaurant and Pokies venue and the hotel is close to shops and not far by car to supermarkets. There was off street parking in the yard behind the hotel next to a bottle shop. I highly recommend the Formby Hotel and look forward to staying there again.

We were welcomed after hours with the offering of a meal and drink to take to room. Very very helpful with local knowledge and places to see. Indulged with beautiful food. Place very clean and really felt like home. I would rate 5/5. Highly recommend to stay and would definitely stay here again. Greg and Kerrie

Only there for a meal - first night in Tasmania so needed to sort out a meal and this was closest to our accommodation (Air BnB). Place was almost booked out but staff rallied around and sorted us a table. ordered food and wine and enjoyed our evening - food was very good and service was excellent. A bit noisy but they were busy with a number of parties going on.

Irene and Russell are amazing hosts who ensured our 3-night stay at Glencoe B & B was unforgettable. Our rooms were beautifully furnished and very comfortable. In our daughters' room, Russ split the bed into two singles. Each room is heated and has an ensuite stocked with quality towels and toiletries, and the living and dining areas have wood fires which was very appreciated as the temperatures dropped. We enjoyed sitting by the fire (with Howard the cat ^-^) playing games and reading books each evening enjoying a very impressive cheese platter created by Russ. Breakfast was amazing - fresh croissants, fresh fruits and cooked breakfast...made to order and of the highest quality. As we were visiting NW Tasmania for the first time, Russell gave us detailed itineraries and suggestions for each of our day trips including where to dine. This was invaluable and made our days out so much easier. Irene took us on a tour of the farm, and we had the pleasure of handfeeding the highland cows and meeting the newborn lambs! The gardens are beautiful - our girls enjoyed walking around meeting the free-range hens and ducks each afternoon. Irene and Russ are both very warm and hard-working people who go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We enjoyed their company very much and would definitely stay again.

Friendly staff, very accommodating for my 1 year old and 3 year old. We stayed in executive room overlooking the river on the 4th floor which has two televisions in the room and nice large balcony with table and chairs and good size room. The room was extremely clean and pleasant to be in with lots of sunlight. Very quiet. We paid the extra $20 for the under cover parking which was fine. The negatives was the bed was dipped downward which caused poor sleep and sore back. A few spaces for arrival parking, we drove around the block until one came available when checking in. The breakfast was okay $25each and kids eat for free was good as the variety was average. The fruit toast was the highlight. Was good value for us having two toddlers included in the $50 breakfast. Good coffees made. We would stay again for a night.
