We (4 adults and 1 teen) have just returned from a wonderful stay at Al Mirqab hotel. Pre Arrival Prior to booking I made an email enquiry about the availability of an extra bed. This was answered very quickly and put my mind at rest about the size of the rooms and ability to accommodate a third person. This was also reconfirmed directly by the hotel less than 30 minutes after making the booking via Expedia. And then, the day before our arrival I received a courtesy telephone call (Doha to UK) to check whether we had any special requests or transportation needs and to say how much the team were looking forward to our arrival. I have stayed at many 4 and 5 star hotels around the world and never have I been called ahead of time to be welcomed. A really personal touch. Arrival Tip: If taking a taxi from the airport be sure to state clearly Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli and in particular Arumail Boutique hotel on Al Souq Street. Unfortunately, we were taken to the completely wrong hotel which also had the name Souq Waqif in the title! When we did arrive at the correct hotel the welcome was warm and our earlier stress was quickly forgotten. We were checked in at Arumail hotel with the offer of coffee and dates whilst we were waiting. (Thank you to Mr Mouhaib for the coffee and introducing us to sweet dates) Our booking was split between Arumail and Mirqab hotels but Mr Abdullah was super helpful and offered our couple in the group an upgrade at a discounted price so that we could all stay together in Al Mirqab. It was an offer too good to refuse! Once we had completed the formalities we and our luggage were whisked by buggy over to Al Mirqab. Hotel Location Excellent! All of the hotels are dotted around the souq, but we liked Al Mirqab because it was right next door to the Metro station. If you want to be close to the Corniche choose Al Jomrok. Al Jasra is slightly on the edge but no more than a 2 minute walk from the main area. Rooms Our rooms were spacious and very well appointed. Even with the additional bed in one of the rooms we still had plenty of room. The complimentary water and tea and coffee was replenished every day and the mini fridge was perfect for cooling the water overnight ready to take out with us the next day. Our room was spotlessly clean and made up every day. This was done without any disturbance or inconvenience to us. We never saw the housekeeping staff but always returned to a freshly made up room. If I had one tiny little ****** it would be about the lack of plugs; one by each bedside table would have been super helpful. That said, on the day we were leaving I found one in the wardrobe (near the safe), one ‘hiding’ behind the luggage stand and one ‘hiding’ beneath the curtains. My fault for not looking properly, lol! Wi fi was excellent. What we loved about the wi fi was that it worked in all of the hotels and we only ever had to log in once. Food Our stay included breakfast which for the first few days o

Fancy hotel! Great location with water front view. Stayed here for a couple of days and staff is super friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious with variety of food. Joriza , Janina and Aldren was my server and they are super friendly and attentive. Would stay here again when I come back!

I went twice to the Pool there on the 5th floor (la pergola lounge) it was an amazing experience for me and my friends and great service there, staff Mohamed at the pool bar is a great guy and always made sure we got the best and fast service.... Def. I will be going more there.

Had a great stay at hotel. Warm n hospitable service by front desk, housekeeping n restaurant staff. Good quality breakfast too. Loved the witty phrases that we spotted ('”whatever”, ”so vain”).

we had a wonderful stay at Sharq Village and Spa. the staff was magnificent, in special we thanks Mr. Sagar the room attendant that was always preparing a surprise for us. the room by yourself is beautiful and too confortable. the breakfast was magnific. the beach and swingpool wonderful. . localization is the best because is easy to access the principal points of interest in the city

الفندق مستواه جدا جدا سيء من ناحية الاستقبال والحجوزات، انا حجزت عن طريق الفندق والاستقبال ولكن عند وصولي تفاجأت ان الغرف غير جاهزة مع العلم اني وصلت الفندق الساعه ٣:٣٠ بعد الميعاد بنص ساعه، وبقيت في الانتظار مع أطفالي لحين تحضير الغرف، وكنت قد طلبت شقة من غرفتين أخبروني بأن لا يوجد شقق كما تم الحجز وقد تفاجئت انهم اجبروني ان اخذ غرفه وليس شقه كما تم الحجز أضف الي ذلك وانه وفي حين قد جاءت اختي بعدي وطلبت شقة ووجدت، لا انصح بهذا الفندق ابدا اسوء تجربة لي و اسوء استقبال وتعامل قد واجهت من بين الفندق التي قد ذهبت إليها.
