The view from the room was really nice but I feel like I got scammed because I booked the room with early check-in in advance and when I arrived I was asked to pay for upgrade because they didn’t have the room. I paid because I was dead after the night flight. The furniture in the room is quite old, it has kitchen with no equipment, massive wardrobe like you come there for months :) The breakfast was horrible too, it’s easier to eat somewhere else.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of all amenities. Walking distance to souk waquif and the station. A day pass only costs about £2 and you can travel unlimited until midnight. There are many great restaurants nearby and the harbour. Rooms are great value for money and this hotel has a great spa. Very polite staff and an excellent breakfast!

Stayed here for a layover in Doha with my family. Nice hotel, new and modern, comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff: Samson, Khalil, and Naveen bent over backwards to be hospitable. The Breakfast buffet had plenty of great options, and we enjoyed it. Highly recommend.

El hotel fue simplemente increíble, super bien localizado, las personas dispuestas a ayudar. El desayuno estuvo muy bueno y variado, el servicio a la habitación excelente y simplemente tuvimos una muy buena estadía, disfrutamos mucho el hotel. Las camas super cómodas.

Nice location, walkable to Souk Waqif! But tbh not really that close. Maybe 15-20 mins on foot. But still, nice enough to walk since I could walk along the coast line (not with the sand and all, but still - also MIA Park) The service is superb. We arrived very late at night and were looking for a coffee at like 1 a.m.; the cafe was supposedly closed but they still got us two cups of coffee. We were really touched! And surprise HNY cake on Jan 1st, it was so cute and we really appreciated it!

The Hotel is located about 10 minutes from Souq Waqif in a quiet area of central Doha. The furnishing is ok, not special but not bad. At the reception Jamal did a great job, the younger colleagues not so much. It was clean and the bed was soft! We booked the hotel via Qatar Airways for a 3-night stopover on the way back from vacation and it was totally fine for that!

Booked as a Qatar Airways stopover package and a most disappointing experience. We organised an airport transfer as arrived in early hours - not arranged. No reply to multiple emails prior to our arrival. On arriving at the hotel the reception staff were unfriendly and ridiculously slow with our check-in - we were the only guests at 0100! Throughout our stay the reception was unfailingly inefficient, unhelpful and discourteous - which was sadly also our experience with most of the staff we encountered. Clearly no effort made on customer service training. This hotel is in the older part of town and is clearly nearing, if not passed, the end of its working life and is now surrounded by building sites. The room was grubby - stained carpets, walls & bedding with a bed with a noticeable central dip. As remarked on in other reviews the shower surround leaks badly and the bathroom floor rapidly becomes a dangerous surface. The whole bathroom is mouldy and has not been addressed since at least 2015 judging by other reviews. As for facilities - the gym is functionally useless as the machines are old and broken. The rooftop pool is usable but small. We did, however, have a pleasant massage in the spa area. The 1st floor restaurant serves buffet meals - after having breakfast which consistent of an eclectic and random mix of foods none of which made a breakfast menu we declined to try the other meals there. The rooftop restaurant does have great views and after having to convince the waitress to serve us (see customer service training above!) we received an average but expensive meal. Whilst conveniently located for the National Museum of Qatar (well worth a visit) it is a taxi ride (Uber is available in the city and to - but not from - the airport) so take a taxi to any other eating establishment. Better still avoid this hotel and book any hotel in the newer areas of the city. This is not a 4 star hotel and Qatar Airways have done the hotel services and the city a huge disservice by recommending it in the first place. If you are transiting and only need a bed for the night then this might suffice for the price, and proximity to the airport. However for a holiday then avoid - there are better and better value hotels in Doha.
