Premier Inn Doncaster (Lakeside)

Appauling room, not fit for a family. Edges of the vanity mirror was chipped and sharp, springs sticking out of the futon bed, the bedding had holes in, and had been used and not changed- had a head mark on the pillow and marks on the sheets. The double bed had bowed massively in the middle so a restless night. Cleanliness of the room was very poor- fresh tooth paste all over the sink. The desk was about to collapse and shook horrendously. We have used Doncaster before but this time was shock g, with no maintenance and no cleanliness. We raised the issues with reception to then be told they couldn’t move us room as they was full, but offered a room clean in an “hour or so” But sadly not good enough when it was gone 8pm and with a baby to put to bed , we therefore was given fresh bedding to make it ourselves…. Extremely disappointing stay

After a long journey up from Somerset, I was greeted by a very enthusiastic receptionist with a smile. The check in was swift and efficient, with all details to hand. The room was spacious with television and air conditioning all working, clean bathroom and bed. Just what was needed to get ready for work. Will definitely use again if I’m in the area.

Staff are the most helpful and friendly of any Premier Inn that we've stayed at, available at check in and honoured our request for a closer room because of mobility needs. Room was reasonable and clean, toilet rim needed more attention and some of the box sections were mouldy and giving up in the bathroom. Traffic noise wasn't an issue. Like most hotel rooms, all sockets are the opposite side of the room to the bed if you want to charge devices. Telly was fickle. Like all Premier Inns, corridor was hot and dusty. Could enter a normal ground floor room in a wheelchair. Bed very high.
