Hotel berhampiran Woolworth, Dorsten

Das Personal am Empfang war sehr freundlich. Sowohl der Check-In als der Check-Out sind reibunglos abgelaufen. Das Zimmer ist ok, etwas altmodisch eingerichtet. Die Tür zum Badezimmer ist eine Schiebetür und bietet kaum privatsphäre. Große Fenster vorhanden zum lüften. Ist auch nötig, denn im Zimmer war beim betreten jedes mal eine muffige Luft. Fersnseher, Kühlschrank und Lampen am Bett mussten wir selbst in die Steckdosen anschließen. Der Schlafraum war sauber. Jedoch im Badezimmer viele Haare (Bartstuppeln und längere) vom Vorbesucher! -＞ sowohl am Waschbecken, in der Badewanne und in der Dusche. Nach einem langen Tag auf der Reise mussten wir erstmal das Badezimmer reinigen. Im Bereich Hygiene, für 100€, für eine Nacht -＞ viel zu schwach.

Am Hotel ist nichts auszusetzen. Ausnahme: Den Preis mit ca. 200,- € pro Nacht finde ich zu hoch. Ich war, wie die meisten anderen Hotelgäste wahrscheinlich auch, zu einem Schalke-Spiel da. Da wird dann natürlich beim Preis ausgenutzt, dass die Hütte auf jeden Fall ausgebucht sein wird. Kann man aber mal machen. Es ist natürlich absolut klasse, dass man quasi direkt aus der Arena ins Bett fallen kann und sich nicht in die überfüllte Straßenbahn quetschen muss, insbesondere bei einem Abendspiel. Selbstverständlich ist bis spät in die Nacht noch ganz schön viel Action in der Hotel-Lobby. Aber zu einem Fußballspiel will ich das auch gerne so haben.

Wir kommen mehrmals im Jahr in dieses Hotel. Hier kann nur die volle Punktzahl gegeben werden. Das Hotel ist schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück- nebst Personal- ist wirklich hervorragend. Überhaupt ist das gesamte Personal super freundlich und sehr kompetent. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen. Dankeschön!

This is building with few apartments and with no reception, so this is not a hotel (name on google maps may be misleading). We rented a 3-bedroom apartment for 2 nights - spacious, modernly furnished, well-equipped kitchen with household appliances (nothing was really missing). One main bathroom and additionally a second toilet. Ample parking at the back of the building. A few minuses - we arrived late at night and the whole apartment was cold because the heating was turned off (good we all packed long sleeves pijamas). I confirm the opinions that the mattresses are soft, so not necessarily good for everyone. For such a large apartment and the number of guests it can accommodate, I missed a larger sofa / more seats in the living room, in the living area by the coffee table.

Vanuit dit hotel is veel te bereiken op loopafstand. Gunstig dus. Wellicht goed voor diegene die aankomen om bij de rotonde al een bord te plaatsen met de naam van het hotel. Het hotel zelf is best trendy, heel en schoon te noemen. De receptie is 24 uur open. De bar stelt niet veel voor. Dat is jammer. De combinatie van receptionist en bediening van de bar is ook niet handig. De kamer is schoon en netjes. Wat ontbreekt zijn glazen en de dekbedden zijn synthetisch en dus veel te warm. Een betere instructie voor de airco/klimaat zou ook handig zijn. Van de info op tv word ik ook niet veel wijzer. Tijdens slapen het raam openlaten betekent veel lawaai vanaf de straat. Verder een prima basic kamer. Het ontbijt goed uitgebreid en helemaal niets mis mee. Parkeren binnen de hekken kost 10 euro per dag onnodig en niet klantvriendelijk. Voor een kort bezoek aan Oberhausen is dit een prima alternatief.

Hotel with a good location to visit Westfield mall and this time of the year also the Christmas market. Market is huge with enough food and drinks. ”Accros” the street of the hotel enough restaurants options with good food. Hotel has parking options, good rooms and friendly staff

When we checked in; 1 agent checked us in while the other 2 just stared at us like we were aliens. One of them had a smirk on their face throughout my check-in, I wanted to ask what she thought was so funny with us checking into the hotel but I didn’t want to spoil the evening. They all started laughing when we left the checkin desk. Know that we are non-European. Very unwelcoming and unprofessional. I suggest cultural diversity training. The beds were disgusting! Small strips of hair all over the fitted sheet. The Most Disgusting was the pee stain on the sheets! The bed smelled like piss too. It was supposed to be non-smoking but someone had been smoking in the room or the insulation/vent systems need more work. I didn’t want to deal with the unprofessional front desk staff so I suffered through the uncleanliness and just put 2 towels on top of the duvet just to feel at ease sleeping, even though we were only there for one night…Thank God I didn’t book for longer. The only positive was breakfast; it was adequate for 1 night stay. Definitely won’t be spending another dime here.

Das Procedere, ausschließlich digital und personallos, ist gewöhnungsbedürftig und eigentlich nicht „mein Ding“, aber dafür bekommt man für wenig Geld ein hübsches Zimmer. Die Suite im 4. Stock war groß, sauber, gut und modern eingerichtet und trotz der Lage mitten im Zentrum sehr ruhig. Lediglich zwei Steckdosen funktionierten nicht und der Wasserabfluß im Waschbecken war beinahe komplett verstopft. Normalerweise würde man das ja an der Rezeption melden, aber die war ja leider nicht vorhanden.

Had a great stay in Moxy Essen from 11/06/2023 – 14/06/2023. I was travelling around the Rhine Ruhr region with my friend (and we both have Marriott Gold elite status from staying in a Marriott for university). This hotel was in a great location right next to the HBF station in Essen and was clean and modern. The bar had a good vibe and we had free drinks on arrival. We used points for this stay, and the way that the points worked out meant that we had 2 different bookings over 3 nights, but this was not an issue and we managed to get the same room for the duration of our stay (we even got a bonus welcome drink for it)! I’m probably not going to do the hotel justice here, but it was a well laid out and stylish hotel with decent sized rooms. We had a twin room to share and the staff made extra effort so that we were on the quieter side of the building. We initially checked into the hotel at approximately 2pm, but decided to spend the afternoon in Wuppertal. When we arrived back on the first night. I had a shower, and there was no shampoo. No big deal, but I ended up going down to reception to ask for some. The man couldn’t find any shampoo, but about half an hour later, some appeared, I think he probably brought I from the shop as it wasn’t in the normal bright pink Moxy bottle, but it was really nice of him to make the effort. That day, the weather hit 32 degrees and whilst we were waiting for the shampoo, we tried to work out how the air conditioning worked. Between me and my friend that I was travelling with, we couldn’t work it out, so we asked the employee. However, between the 3 of us and Google we could not work it out. Anyway, I think we were the only people in the hotel that night as this was approximately midnight local time, and I think we went in every room in the corridor. To try and find one with working air con. All of them were empty! We eventually found one that wasn’t like a sauna and packed our stuff and moved. The employee was genuinely the nicest and most helpful employee I think I have ever seen in a hotel, very apologetic, but also very sociable. It was really nice to meet him as he was so happy to help. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he had a ponytail I think and said he was Turkish. I think he will know who we are when he reads this! I saw him off duty in the bar the next night and thanked him. We even got 2 free breakfasts out of this!! The breakfast was good, though probably not worth the price we were told when we booked (I think it was about 15 euros but can’t remember as I have stayed in about 5 hotels in the past week and they have all rolled into one a bit). There was a few cooked items (Bacon & Scrambled Egg) and a few cold/ cereal items, but not loads. I probably wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast as all the Moxys allow a free coffee/ juice in the morning and a pastry, which is a nice touch. Viel Schatten, wenig Licht es gibt in diesem Hotel zwei verschiedene Kategorien: Standard und Superior wir hatten Superior gebucht. Am Samstag bei Anreise wurden wir sofort gebeten, die Zimmerrechnung zu bezahlen. Das ist ungewöhnlich, aber ok. Als wir dann das Zimmer betraten, stellen wir fest, dass wir eine falsche Kategorie bekommen hatten. Also zurück zur Rezeption. Die junge Dame war völlig überfordert und bestätigte, dass wir ein Standardzimmer bekommen hatten und kein Superior. Sie holte sich Hilfe bei Herrn F. Welche Funktion er hat, wissen wir nicht. er hat sich nicht vorgestellt. Allerdings schaute er in den Computer und sagte, dass er jetzt am Samstag Abend nichts mehr tun könne, das Hotel sei ausgebucht. Als Kompensation und Entschädigung würde er uns für den folgenden Morgen zum Frühstück einladen, und ein Zimmerwechsel am nächsten Tag. Mehr könne er für uns nicht tun. Damit war das Gespräch für ihn beendet und wandte sich wieder seiner Restaurantkasse zu. Nach unserer Auffassung ist dieses Verhalten Betrug. Er hatte unser Geld schon kassiert. Für 2 Nächte Superior Zimmer! Am nächsten Morgen sprachen wir dann mit einer netten Kollegin an der Rezeption. Frau M. war im Gegensatz zu ihrem Kollegen kompetent und handlungswillig. Sie organisierte den Zimmerwechsel, erstattete den zuviel bezahlten Superioraufschlag und eine Kompensation für die gestörte Nachtruhe. Der Unterschied zwischen Standard und Superior ist die Lage: Hauptverkehrsstrasse und Innenhof. und wir hatten ausdrücklich Innenhof bestellt. Nach der positiven Überraschung an der Rezeption der zweite Schock: das Frühstück. Das Hotel wird durch die Lage zum Musical vornehmlich von Busgruppen frequentiert. Wir hatten uns schon erst zu 10 Uhr für das Frühstück vorbereitett, um dem Ansturm der Busgruppen aus dem Weg zu gehen. Aber es war eine Katastrophe! Die drei Servicekräfte waren heillos überfordert. Schlachtfeld trifft es wohl am Besten. und keiner der Mitarbeiter war in der Lage etwas Ordnung in das Chaos zu bringen. Wenn Sie irgendwie können, suchen Sie sich ein anderes Hotel! Und wenn Sie es schon nicht vermeiden können, dann buchen Sie unbedingt Superior. Erstens ist an Schlaf bei Zimmern der Standardkategorie zur Strassenseite nicht zu denken und zweitens finden Sie dort eine Einrichtung, die wohl noch aus dem 70er Jahren stammt. Die Superiorzimmer sind zur ruhigen Hofseite und sehen aus, als wenn sie in den 90er Jahren mal renoviert wurden. (auch schon 30 Jahre her....) Selbst die Nähe zum Musicaltheater macht es nicht erträglicher. Das Musical selbst ist auch nach 30 Jahren immer noch eine Reise wert!
