this hotel was so handy to the main roads but quiet enough to not think you were in a built up area. Hotel itself was lovely and clean. Staff were always very helpful and food was very good. Breakfast had plenty on offer whether you wanted hot or cold. Swimming pool was lovely and clean too and you can go straight to it from the lift on your floor which meant you could change in your own room for convenience and leave your valuables in your room. Plenty of towels there to use also or pick up at reception before hand. We would go back

Can't complain. Friendly staff, central location and a clean and tidy room. As status members we also got our free welcome drink. The shower gel in our room was empty, but instantly replaced when we asked for it at the reception. As the price was cheap, the value was good.

Sehr geehrte Leserinnen und Leser, als unzufriedener Gast möchte ich gerne meine Erfahrung in diesem Hotel teilen. Zunächst muss ich sagen, dass die zentrale Lage des Hotels positiv ist. Auch die beeindruckende Eingangshalle aus rotem Marmor im orientalischen Stil hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Mein Zimmer im 5. Stock war angenehm groß und bot einen guten Ausblick auf die Stadt. Leider liegt das das Hotel an der Kreuzung zweier Hauptverkehrsstraßen. Dies bedeutet, dass der Verkehr rund um die Uhr sehr stark ist und insbesondere nachts, wenn die Poser-Szene hier ihre PS-starken Autos ausprobiert, I wurde dadurch nachts immer wieder geweckt. Auch die Austattung ist einfach und in die Jahre gekommen. Die Gardine fiel mir sofort beim Aufziehen entgegen, da die Halterung defekt war und sich nicht mehr befestigen ließ. Das extrem hellhörige Zimmer war auch ein großes Problem, da ich jedes Geräusch aus den angrenzenden Zimmern hören konnte. Das Frühstück war eine große Enttäuschung, da minderwertige Waren verwendet wurden, die billigsten auf dem Markt erhältlich sind. Alles in allem war dies das letzte Mal, dass ich in diesem Hotel übernachtet habe. Am zweiten Tag bin ich morgens liebe in eine Bäckerei gegangen. Ich kann leider keine Empfehlung für dieses Hotel aussprechen und rate potentiellen Gästen, sich nach einer besseren Option umzusehen. Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Ein unzufriedener Gast

Lovely hotel. Warm and comfortable, excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms are spotlessly clean and serviced every day, staff work so hard and are all very friendly. Would definitely stay here again, it has everything you need for a nice stay.

Prima hotel, kamers zijn schoon en netjes. Alles zag er redelijk nieuw uit. Bedden lagen lekker en op loopafstand van Westfalenhallen! Alleen hadden we gezocht op een hotel met laadpaal. Dit bleek niet het geval te zijn. Er zijn gewone stopcontacten beschikbaar op de parkeerplaats, maar 1 daarvan was bezet en geen enkele parkeerplaats was beschikbaar die bij het stopcontact kon. In de buurt van het hotel zijn bijna geen laadpalen te vinden en in Duitsland zijn die parkeerplaatsen blijkbaar niet alleen voor elektrische auto‘S bedoeld. Op de terugweg naar huis maar een snellader langs de snelweg op moeten zoeken.

Mein Aufenthalt fand im Dezember 2022 statt. 5 Nächte Lage und Hotel: Sehr ruhig, direkt gegenüber des BVB Fußballstadions. Messe, je nach Halle, in wenigen Metern erreichbar, U-Bahn Station zu Fuß 3-5 min entfernt. Service: Sehr freundliches Personal im ganzen Haus. Als ALL Gold Mitglied habe ich ein Upgrade (Vielen Dank ) auf ein Privilege Zimmer im 7. Stock (von 8 Stockwerken) bekommen. Zimmer: Sehr sauberes geräumiges Zimmer, ruhig gelegen. Der Stil der Einrichtung ist nicht mehr der allerneueste (zu Hause tauscht man die Möbel aber auch nicht alle 5 Jahre), aber der Zustand des Mobiliars war einwandfrei, keine Beschädigungen etc. In meiner Rate war die Minibar kostenlos (2x Wasser, 2x Bier, 2x Saft) und wurde täglich aufgefüllt. Frühstück: Beim Frühstücksbuffet waren alle wichtigen Bestandteile vorhanden: Div. Brotsorten / Brötchen, Marmeladen / Nutella / Honig, div. Wurst – und Käsesorten, Lachs, Bacon, Rührei und was sonst noch dazu gehört. Was es leider nicht gab, und was man in einem 4 Sterne Haus erwarten darf, ist frisch geschnittenes Obst (z.B. Melone, Ananas, Pfirsich etc) zum Frühstück. Es gab zwar eine Schüssel ungeschälter ganzer Äpfel und eine „Fertigobst Mischung“, das war aber schon sehr dürftig. Das können Motel One & Co mittlerweile mindestens genauso gut. Ebenso war die Präsentation des Buffet sehr funktional, wenig einfallsreich. Alles in allem ein empfehlenswertes Hotel, mit kleinen Schwächen beim Frühstück.

This was our second stay - the hotel staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are great. Breakfast is buffet style and the offerings range from hot breakfast to cereals to typical German and international dishes. There's plenty seating available even during busy times. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have its own parking garage and as last year we ended up parking in a parking garage in town. The car was safe there, but it is about a 10 minute walk. The hotel has a designated parking garage which we were unable to locate due to building work/road work in the area. Much of the area around the hotel is restricted or ”no parking”, so be aware that you may get ticketed if you leave your vehicle unattended. The hotel gives easy access to the Phoenix See (Lake) with its restaurants, sculptures, and a few shops.

Weird experience. I understand we are in Covid times but the service and offerings in the restaurant were very up and down. Food itself was good and tasty, but service levels made no sense. Een vroegtijdige aankomst werd spontaan opgevangen door het vriendelijke personeel en konden wij gelijk in de ruime, schone en moderne kamer. De badkamer was helemaal prima doordat er ook aan de langere mens is gedacht, super. Tips werden door het personeel gedeeld over de stad en 's ochtends een lekker ontbijt dat ook buiten gegeten kon worden. Dit werkte zo relaxed dat de uitchecktijd gemist werd, ook dat is geen issue. Stayed here while attending Dortmund football match. Location : Great location, literally around the corner from main shopping district with lots of restaurants and bars to choose from. Great area. The underground train station is around the corner and the main train station about 20 mins walk or less. Rooms: Our room was nice (117) we had 3 in our party so the room had one double bed and a pull out sofa bed which was a double. It left the room with hardly any space to walk around so was quite tight. The decor was nice. However the seal on the window was damaged so you could actually feel the breeze getting in (during snow weather) The tv had only one English Channel so wasn’t great. BE WARNED check if there is any party’s or function on in the hotel if you are staying in this room as there was a party on while we stayed and literally felt like the dj was in our wardrobe the music was that loud. Singing and talking could even be heard clearly. I did say it to girl in reception the next morning and she apologised but literally got no sleep until music stopped. Bar/Food: We did not have dinner in the hotel restaurant so cannot comment. Restaurant decor was ok, very 1920’s feel. There is a very small bar that usually only opens from 5pm-12pm however one of the days they opened for us to have a drink at 3:30pm which was no bother for them, they were very nice and a special mention to Ben the new Barman from the UK. He’s great! Breakfast wasn’t great, but that may be just us that’s used to Irish style food. Not much hot food on offer, pancakes and plenty fab pastries though. If going to a Dortmund match : We travelled to Dusseldorf airport and got the sky train into the main train station on to Dortmund €16.50 each one way. It was difficult to find out correct trains ect as very bad signage at airport and trains so do your homework before you get there. It took us over an hour to figure it out. Train journey from airport was 50 mins. We got a taxi from our hotel to signal iduna park and it took 8 mins and costs €14. Easy to get taxis after match too which was surprising.

Also wo fang ich an… 1. das Haus sieht aus wie ein normales Haus nicht wie ein Hotel mitten in der Stadt 2. Der Empfang war nett 3. Das Zimmer sah sehr ansprechend aus modern und sauber 4. !!Muss ehrlich sagen nachts die Zimmernachbarn hatten Spaß waren ziemlich laut die Wand hat gewackelt sehr unangenehme Geräusche von nebenan gehört (könnt euch denken was ich meine ) kann ich aufjedenfall nicht empfehlen wenn man ein entspanntes Wocheende zu zweit haben möchte dachte einen Moment wäre im Laufhaus !! Deswegen alles war gut aber diese eine Sachen da ging garnicht sehr unangenehm
