Sun Palm

As soon as we checked in and walked ourselves to our room, we had a porter barge into our room to turn the lights on, open the shutters and turn on the air conditioning just to get a tip. There aren't individual air conditioning remotes either so we couldn't control the temperature for the rest of the night, despite asking at reception. Hard beds, hard & lumpy pillows and nothing to hang the shower up with. We were also asked to leave a good review within 10 minutes of arrival while at the pool. Coffee in the morning was weak and tasted like dirty dish water. Pool was nice and open late for day trippers and the bar man was lovely.

- Upon arrival we have been surprised that our booking is not showing on the hotel system. We waited for almost three hours with the reception staff to give us a double room but for just one night as they said. Of course I and my wife were very angry and tired after a long trip from Tunis - Inside the room there was no drinking water, no kettle and of course no coffee, sugar and tea. It was strange for a 5 star hotel! - No tissue in room in spite of the existence of the tissue holder. - The bath in the bathroom was very old and rusted!! - Furniture items are old and used. - Central AC is cancelled in the room, and is replaced by an indoor split unit. It was really a shame for a 5 star hotel ans we were disappointed.

We stopped at this hotel on our way to Sahara desert. Very Tunisian and friendly hotel. The design of the hotel is very authentic, staff is wonderful. The rooms are also a very authentic style. Loved it. The pool outside is very nice and the water is very refreshing. We took the local camel ride with camels Yamil and Nazar and it was so wonderful.

The reception and hotel staff were all friendly and welcoming! Beautiful hotel!! Receptionist Zayneb was very lovely. Highly recommend.

This is a traditional Tunisian hotel and we stayed as part of a 2 day Saharan trip with Tui. The reception immediately gave us interconnecting rooms without asking and the dinner was delicious. Shame we couldn’t stay longer. The camel activity from the hotel was fantastic.

Stay overnight with a group on 2 day Sahara excursion. Nice, clean hotel with good food and staff. Pool was nice to relax after day spent in Sahara desert. So sorry that we didn't have more time to explore the neighborhood.
