Hotel Mesra Haiwan Peliharaan di Dubrovnik

This hotel's main fault was it had bad air conditioning. We called for help and ours worked fairly well but others in our group had issues with the heat in their rooms. We had a dinner buffet which was so so without many choices of food nor very tasty food but the dining area was pleasant. We had a nice view from our room which could see the sea in the distance. And the walk to the old town section of Dubrovnik was fairly easy down hill. There was a bus #4 to get back up the hill to the hotel from the nearby square where the Pile Gate access is located. You first buy a ticket at the little kiosk across from where the bus picks you up for just under 2 euros. The hotel's pool had delightfully cool water.

We went to Dubrovnik and spend a beatiful week in this apartment. Apartment was equipped with all the equipment, from the kitchen to the equipment for washing clothes, so everything was at our fingertips. The maids are very kind and we had daily cleaning every other day where they even took out the trash. The staff at the reception kindly welcomed us and after a quick check-in took us to the apartment. We would recommend this facility to everyone because it is very accommodating, luxurious and has everything you need. Not to forget that they immediately delivered a babycot for a small baby upon request.

We had a wonderful stay at the Imperial Hilton. Dubrovnik. Location great very near the Pila gate, to enter the old town. The room was big, clean and added bonus it has a balcony to chill out. Breakfast was lavish and served on the terrace which was bright and lovely trees surrounding it. Fantastic staff too. Great indoor pool and sauna and steam room.

When planning this visit to Dubrovnik, we determined we wished to stay within the city walls. Perhaps we should not have. It is a very, very busy tourist destination that may have best been avoided in the evening, especially at this price. The hotel is historic and attractive, but the a/c was not nearly up to speed for the heat, and the odour in the bathroom (from the sewers) was almost unbearable, even if we closed the door. The shower was mouldy, and not very pleasant. The staff are to be commended as they were lovely and accommodating, but you would probably be better off looking elsewhere further out.

We went to Tirena for 6 days with our 2 year old. The hotel is immaculate, the housekeeping staff are continuously ensuring the space is kept clean. The whole complex is aesthetically beautiful with neutral tones running throughout. They have thought of everything and everyone with service and design, the staff are so friendly and interactive with kids yet keeping very professional, they will provide any support or assistance you need with no waiting around. Maro world is unbelievable for 2 year olds as well as 14 year olds, they have spaces for every age group, a disco, a theatre and even include child minding services - we didn’t use this however would 100% feel comfortable leaving a 6-7+ year old in the company of the staff and the facilities - no child would be unhappy! There are games rooms and Xboxes for older ones, the trampolines outside are brilliant - however very hot midday. The breakfast and dinner is different every night with a delicious variety and again staff are so lovely! Stoney beach is 5 minute walk with crystal clear waters, carry on further and there is a park and sandpit on the beach. Cannot say a bad word about this place or people - beautiful. Heads up - we went for a balcony with a sea view which over looks the terrace where there is live music every night. Live music is great however if you have little ones sleeping early, the music is quite loud. Thank you 🙏🏻

Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing. We arrived late after our flight, quite tired and found the reception staff a bit cold at first but let this slide. We had paid for a balcony/ seaside view. We were put on the ground floor, and there was a big wall blocking most of the view, barely seeing the seaside. Which is actually the view we woke up to the next morning as it was dark when we arrived, great way to start the day! But, worse than that the night we arrived we opened the mini bar fridge and TWO items were opened, a bag of nuts and a half drank lemonade, disgusting. It was like the room hadn't been used in a long time... There were no toiletries really, hair from other guests in the room, side lamp didn't work, air con was difficult to figure out too. We were grateful we didn't intend to spend much time in the room but still incredibly a let down. I have to say, the staff were consistently cold and unapproachable the rest of the trip. However, the cleaning staff were the nicest out of everyone we saw them everyday and they always had a smile and hello to say. I told them of the issue, and they replaced the items with no charge, thankfully. I believe one lady was called Marta. Pool was very busy, so get there early to reserve a decent spot. Buffet breakfast and dinner were nice, other guests quite rude but not hotels fault. The cats outside were nice, as a cat lover. The spa was exceptional, the therapists were great and lovely. So professional. Bit disappointing there is no ”relaxation” area after the massage, we just went back into the noisy hotel after we paid which was unfortunate but great treatments otherwise. Overall, not what I expected for the price we paid and what we got in return.

Het is een groot hotel niet ver van de oude stad. Parkeren kun je gratis bij het hotel. Als je met een gezin van vier kun je beter met Uber of soort gelijke taxi bestellen voor €8 dan op de bus te wachten in de hitte. Een busrit naar de stad kost €2 p.p. Parkeren in de stad is schreeuwen duur namelijk. Ontbijt van het hotel loopt door naar brunch tot 13.00uur. Dat is wel fijn voor de uitslapers. Eten is in het algemeen okay. Verwacht geen culinaire verrassingen, gewoon goed genoeg om in het hotel te eten. Het zwembad is groot, maar voor het strand moet je uit het hotel terrein lopen.
