Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain

Peaceful serene setting in the idyllic mountainside. Warm service from the staff. Generally what would be expected from Six Senses. A few shortcomings: 1. The butler recommended that we make reservations for dinner either at the Chinese or Thai restaurant. We told him we will book the Chinese restaurant and try the Thai the next day. We were however not informed that the Thai restaurant was closed for business the next day. 2. My wife and I got itchy sandflies bites after our stay over there. Probably inevitable in the nature setting, but travellers who are sensitive to bites, do take precautions. 3. The photography session at the hotel is a miss if you have young kids. We had a good experience with previously at a Hangzhou hotel, and the photographer took many candid shots of our young kids playing around. The six senses photographer was very rigid and wanted our young kids to stay still for his shots. The end product turned out to be somewhat staid and didn't feel it was the result of a professional shoot.

Our stay at Six Senses Chengdu was absolutely wonderful. The property is stunning, with beautiful surroundings, lots of activitie and a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to completely relax and unwind. Every detail of the resort feels thoughtfully designed to create a sense of calm and luxury. A special thank you our butler Loki, who made our stay even more memorable. He was not only very attentive but also surprised me with a lovely birthday cake, which was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture. The exceptional hospitality, beautiful setting, and genuine care shown by the team made this an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to return. I highly recommend the spa and its Taoism experience. It was magical 💝

A wonderful stay at Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain. The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were always warm and welcoming, greeting us whenever we walked around the hotel. Arranging an excursion to Wolong National Nature Reserve was easy and reasonably priced, and the hotel is within walking distance of Mount Qingcheng, which was a huge plus. The only downside was that the hotel is starting to look a little tired, with some of the wooden structures—especially in the suites—showing noticeable wear.

Excellent stay at the hotel.. Peaceful serene getaway.  We made use of the free tennis court and they rented out all the racquets and balls (albeit super old quite unpresentable balls). Rather awkward situation upon arrival.  We were greeted at the arrival foyer and luggages were tagged and tobe delivered to our room after check in.. However we were not offered a buggy ride to the check in lobby.    We had to walk there ourselves.  Although it was a short walk, we were not sure where to go and so wandered around to find the lobby.   It was quite unexpected welcome.  But the rest of the trip, services were good and butlers super helpful.     Room - was very hot when we arrived.  they had to shut down all heaters, floors and the entire heating system to make sure the room cools down.. It is in between winter and spring so they did not have the air con working full force yet.

Very nice property, really a great place to be a bit outside of Chengdu city. The breakfast is fantastic, high quality & large choice. The resort itself is beautiful, very nice to walk around in the morning or evening, lot’s of activities available as well (Tennis, Basketball, Ping Pong, Pool etc..). Last but not least the staff is perfectly kind & professional from our butler K. Loki till the management level. Thank you, we hope to come back some days!

Fantastic Stay at Six Senses Qingcheng Mountain！ I stayed here for two nights with my mother and mother-in-law, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. The service was attentive and thoughtful in every detail — every time we needed more water, it was delivered within 10 minutes. The environment is simply beautiful, with pear trees in full bloom — honestly, the scenery here is even more stunning than the Qingcheng Mountain scenic area itself. We stayed in one of the hot spring pool rooms and were in such a good mood every day. We soaked in the pool in the morning, afternoon, and evening — the 10°C weather made it incredibly comfortable. The wooden room added to the cozy and relaxing atmosphere, and we all slept wonderfully each night. On top of that, we even got to make bracelets and sachets for free — such a lovely touch! As an IHG Diamond member, I truly appreciate the level of service and attention to detail — it definitely lived up to expectations. Five stars all the way. I would definitely come again next time.

The resort is beautifully curated in its details, the room was comfortable and spacious and the hot spring in our suite was a pleasure to sink into after a long hike. The main issue was with the service. Although always kind, the staff hasn’t been very helpful or proactive - for example, we only discovered at the end of our stay that we could’ve ordered food at the table for breakfast, while they never came to take our food orders and we just used the buffet. Also, we wanted to order tea into our room but we’ve been told to use the app which was very inconvenient to log into so we gave up. Also, the SPA was under maintenance but we only discovered that when we tried to walk in.

Sixth Sense Hotel Chengdu was a wonderful stay. The location is very convenient, especially if you’re planning a trip to Qingcheng Mountain, making travel easy and stress-free. One of the highlights was the warm hospitality — a special thanks to Loki, the Thai staff member, who was incredibly kind and made us feel truly welcome. The swimming pool is fantastic, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Breakfast was also excellent, with a good variety and great quality. Overall, a great hotel with friendly service, strong facilities, and an ideal location. Highly recommended.
