I can't say enough about this hotel. Customer service was professional, efficient and welcoming. The staff never failed to greet me with ”hello sir” and wave and smile. Always helpful when I had questions such as ”what's the best way to get somewhere?”, Etc. Location is excellent with being close to the beach walk, many restaurants and access to public transportation. Property is well maintained and clean. My room was plenty big for one person but family rooms are also available. Only one thing that may bother some is the hot water was out for one of my 3 day stay. However this was a minor inconvenience for me and did not keep me from issuing this 5 star review.

Gee! This is one of those places that are reviewed at FIVE STAR and you go to find out… they really deserve it! I LOVE this place! The front desk staff REALLY set the mood for any stay, and these ladies REALLY warm your hearts with genuine smiles, humorous wit, complete professionalism, and charming & welcoming personalities! A1, 100% could not be any better. First class. The best! The names I most recall are Ariane & Jora, as they truly practice excellence in this sometimes difficult profession. The rooms are soooooooo clean! So to all the unnamed people who do this job, THANK YOU! They have a breakfast served almost all day, plus a lite menu. Delicious, affordable, and prompt. As they say this province, it’s LAAMI KAAYO! Great fresh smoothies too! The owner is a pure Filipino corporation, so no weird overseas influences. I like that. Plus the have a meeting/banquet facility, beautiful swimming pool although I didn’t try it out, great lobby, and I think 28 overall rooms. The only thing I hope…. Is after all these well-deserved 5-STAR ratings, please don’t raise prices! I will come here again and again and again. Truly love this place! Home away from home.

I recently stayed at Florentina Homes with my friends and we had a great experience. All of the staff, including the receptionists, guards, and technician were extremely accommodating and responsive to our requests. Despite initial skepticism due to rumors that the place was old, we found that it actually had a lot of character. The room we stayed in was very spacious and gave off a homey vibe, making us feel comfortable and relaxed. Additionally, we appreciated the complimentary water provided by the apartelle. We also had the pleasure of dining at Gabby's Bistro, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Overall, our stay was very convenient and smooth, and we would definitely consider returning to Florentina Homes in the future. We will also recommend this place to our friends and family who plan to visit Dumaguete.

Being between Robinsons and the Ceres bus terminal, this hotel is in a great location. That's why I stayed there and, sadly, it's the only reason to stay there. Rooms are very small and basic. There's no safe and no fridge. The air conditioner is the old style and under-powered. Thankfully, you can get two card keys, because the room took many hours to get to an almost comfortable temperature.

I love this hotel. i have stayed here now many many times, and i have NEVER had a bad experience, so i thought i would finally write a DESERVED GOOD review. The Hotel is placed right at the heart of Dumaguete, everything you would want is with a few mins of the hotel, the hotel also provides trips to some of the popular tourist attractions. The rooms are always clean and fresh with daily room service, but in my opinion the only thing that lets the rooms down are the showers which sadly could do with more maintenance as often they are faulty in some way and poorly kept looking, but they still provide good supply of hot water. I have stayed in all of the rooms they offer, from their suite to the standard rooms, and all show the same levels of cleanliness and the rooms always feel welcoming. Free breakfast is provided and the restaurant is good and the food well cooked and presented , the hotel provides a full range of pampering service if you require some self indulgence. The staff are ALWAYS friendly polite professional and on hand for any reason and will always make you feel important and a valued guest. I have in all my stays at this Hotel had only ever had one problem which was dealt with professionally, immediately and satisfactorily,. This hotel is ALWAYS my first choice when i visit Dumaguete, and will continue to be so They have plenty of rooms and even as a walk in, i have never been turned away from being fully booked, Its always a pleasure staying here.... We originally planned to stay at another hotel but it was full so we decided to try Henia. Overall it’s been a good experience and I think this is probably the best option in Dumaguete, which for some reason has a very limited selection of hotels. The good: - The rooms are reasonably sized. They only had twin rooms when we booked. While they are basic, they are up to date, clean and reasonably roomy - The bathroom is decent quality, with expected amenities such as shampoo, toothbrush kits, etc. The shower is spacious. - The wall air conditioner works well - They bring the included breakfast to your room. You choose from a number of Filipino options each day. There is no western breakfast option. - Everyone I have dealt with has been friendly and helpful - The elevator, which is a rarity in Dumaguete hotels, is decent sized and very smooth The not so good: - There is a lot of traffic noise - The water pressure is not great - The internet is not strong. It’s virtually impossible to even upload things - The key card is very touchy, so it takes a long time to get the door open Overall, given the other options, I would recommend this hotel

The guest service at Southview Hotel in Dumaguete sucks! Certainly a hotel/quarantine facility I would recommend. My observations are as follows: 1. Poor hygiene in the preparation and handling for food and water. -The kitchen crew cutting the carrots in the kitchen was not wearing a mask. -The utensils (spoon and fork) were just left uncovered in an open area outside the kitchen without proper cover. Viruses and bacteria can easily contaminate it. 2. The water provided is one 350ml mineral water (the smallest size) per meal. With this quantity the guest are prone to experience constipation due to the lack of adequate drinking water. 3. The delivery of food is delayed. Breakfast should be delivered to guests at 7am but they deliver it only at 9am on 2 occasions. 4. The front desk does not provide the contact name and number of their Manager because she reasons that it is a confidential information. A clear cover up, which indicates that they are not prepared to hear out and action on issues raised by the guests. Please to the management of Southview hotel. Kindly execute your job well.

I stayed here 5 nights in mid-November as a solo female traveler, and truly loved the property - I do love a good concrete structure though! It keeps places cool and clean. Staff were abundant and super helpful. There are a few maps and guides in the lobby that give you ideas of what to do & see in and around Dumaguete. They were able to organize a trike for me to get to Dauin, about 45 minutes away (500 PHP). Live music on Friday nights. You can walk about 30 minutes to the center of town or take a shared trike for 10-15 pesitos. I took a Zoom interview at 5am on a Wednesday morning that didn’t crack, so I’d say internet is quite strong. Lots of tables & chairs to relax and chill, lots of cute lighting. The ROOMS/BED: MASSIVE! You could keep ALL your luggage at the foot of your bed if you want to, there’s so much extra space. I also appreciate the individual light, outlet, and bars to hang clothing/towels from. The rooms all have AC that can be adjusted as well. I liked how the bathrooms and showers are outside & well-ventilated, and soap is available. The restaurant Palmitas had a wide variety of food and dishes and open from morning to night, offering even snacks and coffee all day. While it may cost a bit more than other restaurants in the area, it’s great for convenience, has a great ambiance and an extensive menu.

Mauvais choix pour ma part, maximum 1 étoile, situé dans le centre ville, l'entrée de cet établissement se fait au fond d'un couloir sous une arcade commerçante, pas facile à trouver ! Bon accueil, demande de dépôt 500 rp, pas d'ascenseur, ma chambre au 2 eme étage, on m'a proposé de monter mes bagages, quelle surprise, je ne m'attendais pas à un endroit aussi basique vu les commentaires et les annonces des escrocs Booking et Agoda; pièce sombre et vieillotte, il faut l'éclairage en permanence, pas de fenêtre, pas de table, ni de chaise, vieilles étagères abimées, même pas une bouteille d'eau ! 2 lits étroits, salle de bain avec douche. Par contre clim et wifi correct, ensemble propre. Vraiment déçu, de plus pas bon marché, je me suis bien fait avoir pas les avis de Tripdvisor....Complètement déconseillé.
