Lovely meal and stopover at Edenbank Hotel, food was great, massive portions and well cooked, staff were so friendly and polite, didn’t wait long between courses but not rushed either, room was clean and tidy, Continental breakfast was already in room and it was perfect. 10/10

Tonight didn't go to plan for us or the hotel. I come down to see my dad in care home frequently and recently have been using the venue for food with kids. Didn't happen tonight because of gas interlock issues I think but the owner and staff dealt with us really well. I could hear them trying desperately to accommodate one big family party and at same time contact bookings to let them down. Not great and I could hear young staff really worried about greeting bookings to give them the bad news. Shows they care and understand the customer point of view. The overriding thing for me is that the hotel were only bothered about letting people down, not the fact that their Saturday night trade had just been devastated. We will be back next week!
