Hotel East Hertfordshire District dengan Sarapan

Stayed 2 nights , room large but extremely hot , 2 fans provided, one was faulty. Hotel layout is very confusing although reception did try to explain, we were in the 4th floor but only one lift goes there, and on the way back down it says reception is on 2, but really it is on 1. There are no menus in the room or online, we struggled to find Vardons as the signage is wrong (we were not the only ones ), they have a special of the day which was a burger and a pint (or a soft drink) , you cannot swap or upgrade to any other drink. There are no sockets by the bed for phone chargers, the lamps are hard wired. The kettle flex is so short we had to use it on the floor . Our room was not serviced (despite costing over £200 per night ), we returned at 12 noon and phoned for extra tea/coffee, these arrived, but that was all. (Possibly housekeeping thought that was all we wanted but we had been to breakfast and then out so they had already had plenty of time, there is no way of putting a “please make up room “ sign only a request for privacy.) We returned at 11.30pm and the room was untouched .There isn’t even a waste paper bin other than a tiny bathroom one, so it all looked very messy with newspapers, tea bags, etc Breakfast was a large buffet and was fine. Gym was fine too and we had no problem with parking .

Really poky room with no view and awkward shaped bathroom. The old part of the hotel is very jaded . The breakfast bar was a disgrace. Mess everything, possibly due to some children who were present for a wedding, but the staff were not bothered about sorting it out and incredibly one female member was boasting that she had worked there since she had left school, yet behind her there was food slopped everywhere. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
