The hotel's location near the train station is a huge plus, making transport incredibly convenient. We received attentive service, and the breakfast was quite good. However, Google Maps gave misleading directions, which led me to carry my luggage up five flights of stairs. It turns out there's an elevator, but it's not clearly marked with the hotel's logo, making it challenging for first-time visitors to find.

Absolutely perfect! The location is fantastic, right on the Royal Mile, and it's just a 10-minute walk to the train station, even with luggage. The room was very spacious, and the AC provided heating – it finally felt like the comfortable hotels I'm used to back home. Breakfast was decent, and while the lobby isn't huge, the comfortable room is what really matters.

The hotel has a good location, making it convenient to get around. Rooms are quiet considering its just in the city. Maintenance seems a bit lacking. The elevator is quite small and not very fast, which can be inconvenient at times.

1. Location, Location, Location • It’s hard to beat this hotel for central Edinburgh. Right on North Bridge, you’re a stone’s throw from Waverley Station, the Royal Mile, shops, restaurants, and many of the city’s major sights.  • Great for walking everywhere; you don’t need transport for many of the main attractions.  2. Room Size & Basics • Many guests say the rooms are more spacious than you might expect in a city‑centre hotel.  • Clean, with decent bathrooms, functional furniture, and most have good views (though that depends on the side you’re on).  3. Quality of Bed & Sleep Amenities • Beds often get praise for being comfortable (though not universally). TVs, desks, kettles etc. are standard and work well.  4. Restaurant / Lounge / Public Areas • Decent lounge with a good drinks menu, good public areas, attractive décor in common spaces.  • The steakhouse (Marco Pierre White) is a draw for many visitors. 

The room was spacious, but no slippers were provided. There weren't enough elevators, which made it inconvenient. However, the staff were very friendly.

They provided a sofa bed, and the generous 1.5-meter queen beds meant everyone had plenty of space – it was fantastic! The only downside was that one of the elevators broke down during our two-day stay and still hadn't been repaired by the time we checked out. This meant long waits for the other, smaller elevator.

Fantastic service! The rooms are very spacious, and they even deliver stored luggage directly to your room. Highly recommended!

Hilton never disappoints. The hotel boasts an excellent location, being just a 5-minute walk to both Princes Street and the Royal Mile. Our room was exceptionally clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We were also fortunate to have a very quiet room, likely due to its excellent position. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was very spacious, and we had no problem opening our four suitcases. The location is excellent, right on a prime street. Unlike the Hilton in York, which only had electric fans, this hotel actually has air conditioning – a big plus! The only major issue was the price. We booked in May for over 3700, but now, just a few days later, the rate is only between 1600-2200. Since our booking was non-refundable, the price difference felt absolutely ridiculous, and we ended up feeling totally ripped off. I highly recommend always choosing a cancellable option when booking, so you can rebook if the price drops.
