Imbali Safari Lodge

We had an incredible time at the Imbali Lodge. The staff was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Food was also excellent. Our safari guide, Victor, was the best! He was very personable, funny and highly knowledgeable. We can't wait to go back. It would have been nice if the jacuzzi tubs in the rooms were heated.

Great lodge. Fantastic staff, food really good and rooms were great. The safari drives were awesome with very good guides. Highly recommend a stay at Imbali Lodge. Really liked having private verandah and plunge pool on the deck to enjoy relaxing through the day.

I found my experience at Imbali second to none. My room was spacious. The food was perfect & the staff are lovely & bend over backwards for you. Jayden was one of our group's guides & he has great knowledge about everything but also made us laugh & the drives were even more fun. I was told by others in the group that Janine was exceptional as well. It is fantastic to see a female guide leading the way. I was sad to leave as I felt I was leaving friends behind. Cannot wait to come back. Thank you all x

Beautiful location, great team and fabulous accommodation. Very small and personal with a lovely a**osphere. Each chalet has a private plunge pool making a perfect setting for a cooling dip after a hot dusty game drive. Food was excellent as was service. Our guide Jayden was very knowledgeable and despite this being about my 40th visit to the incredible Kruger Park, still managed to make it unique. Thank you all.

Stay Away!! If it was not for our freelance ranger Mark this would have been a disaster! Excellent guide and went out of his way to try and safe the day. Staff very arrogant and unhelpful. Service extremely slow. Food not up to standard! High tea is a joke and the packed breakfast was a after thought. 1 x banna, 1 x Appel , 1 x fruit stick, 1 x yoghurt, 1 x sandwich all for 2 people. They at least put 2 x juices in the box. We tried to celebrate a friend’s birthday and in the end they try to Safe the day by singing and bringing him a cake after dinner! No Generator working for weeks now!!! They had a electricity problem on the line with loadshedding and no back-up generators. The aircon in nr12 was not working and that was even when there was electricity. They eventually fixed the aircon. Room was not cleaned and cups washed and water was not replaced! We ordered a gin and after 20 minutes we had to go get a the lady behind the reception desk to find out what happened to the gin. Apparently the staff knocked off without putting orders through! This is not acceptable that they take your money under these circumstances! Never again!

Highly recommended! Excellent field guide that taught us a lot about the environment, delicious meals, very comfortable rooms and bedding, and very kind and helpful staff. Overall excellent value for money. It was a memorable experience!

Imbali lodge was the best! The accommodations are beautiful, the food was good, the safari drives (with Andrew) were amazing and the staff was exceptional! We were warmly greeted by Mary and Mwoi upon arrival (including a welcome drink). Mary explained all of the details about our stay and was super helpful and kind throughout our trip. The staff: Winston, Golden, Baldwin, Mwoi and Brighton took great care of my family during meal service and was very attentive to our needs while moving from the main area to our chalets. They also kept our cups filled with spirits. During our drives we seen EVERYTHING except the leopard; the encounters with the animals were up close and we really didn’t need our binoculars. @Imbali_safari_lodge owes us nothing, we had the best time!

Stayed as a family at Imbali on a special celebration trip. The Lodge is in the heart of the Kruger National Park and has a private area where only they can drive. We had a few great game-drives and saw all the Big Cats! The food was good...portions are huge. The Staff was very friendly and the Manager came to check on us often which was a nice touch. Will tell people about this place for sure!

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at Imbali Safari Lodge. We booked our rooms through ***********, and despite the website stating "pay later," they charged our card immediately. The real issue arose when we had to cancel our reservation due to personal reasons within the free cancellation period. We followed the proper cancellation procedure, but Imbali Safari Lodge refused to refund our money. We reached out to *********** for assistance, and they advised us to wait for 30 days. Unfortunately, even after waiting patiently, we received no refund. Desperate for answers, we contacted the hotel directly, only to be met with the same response: "Please wait for 30 more days." This endless waiting game is unacceptable. We have sent numerous emails and made multiple phone calls, but the hotel continues to brush us off with the same excuse to wait. It has been over 60 days now, and we have yet to receive any refund. It is extremely frustrating considering the high price we paid for the room and the fact that they charged us immediately without hesitation. I expected better customer service and a more efficient refund process from Imbali Safari Lodge. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone based on their poor refund policy and lack of accountability.
