The Funny Lion - El Nido

Amazing stay at Funny Lion El Nido. Couldn’t have been better. The Hotel crew is fantastic and will make you feel at home. You will not want to check-out and like to stay there for long. If you are planning El Nido, don’t look elsewhere, just stay at Funny Lion. Big shout out to Val and Team for making us feel at home !

We had a wonderful stay at the funny lion! The entire property is clean and beautifully designed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The private beach is lovely. The only minor suggestions are to put more storage on the room. Another luggage stand and some wall hooks would make it easier to stay organized.

The Funny Lion is a very good hotel with super friendly staff who cannot do enough for you. Breakfast was slightly limited for us as westerners, and food had been out for quite sometime meaning it had gone dry. However pool area was inviting and bedroom was very clean and comfy. Smart TV also which was a bonus!

Awesome hotel. Absolutely loved the amenities, the staff was super friendly and helpful with everything that it made my stay very pleasant. I will definitely come back here again.

Excelente hotel! Muy buena ubicación en el centro de El Nido. Las habitaciones son cómodas. La piscina y el bar están muy bien, y el desayuno buffet es lo mejor, hay mucha variedad local y western food. En comparación con otros hoteles de El Nido este definitivamente está entre mis favoritos. Lo único que puedo criticar es la conexión de WIFI, los días que estuve se cortaba todo el tiempo. Totalmente recomendable!!

The Funny Lion was our home for a few days and it was amazing. The location is just perfect, only 15 mins from airport, a hand full of mins from El Nido by tuk tuk, which the security guard calls on demand for guests, never a wait! Just around the corner there are many shops and dining options if you do not want to go by tuk tuk anywhere. The staff at the front desk is just wonderful. I loved my chats with Val and Julie, and everyone else working there adds to it by always smiling and greeting guests. There is a great ambience and overall vibe at this property, that made our stay in Palawan even more magic.

We had an amazing time staying at the Funny Lion Hotel. The hotel is not too large, but has all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay. Convenient for the restaurants and bars and close, but not too close, to the airport. Food was great, rooms were comfortable, clean and modern in design. We also made use of the gym and spa, although the gym mostly by my wife. The hotel was great but what really made it such a great stay were the staff. Amazing people. Friendly, helpful and dedicated to make your stay a happy one. My wife even went out running in the mornings with the manager. All the staff were great but a special mention for Val at the front desk. She went out of her way to make our stay a memorable one with her friendliness, sense of fun and helpfulness. The front desk can’t be an easy job but it didn’t show. I think we will be back next year as part of our continued travels around a remarkable country.

Great location, easy access to the surrounding the atmosphere is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful receptionist especially Ms. Val. and the other staffs also are lovely and great. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had breakfast. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.
