Very comfortable bed. Room comes with microwave. Very clean. Good breakfast except the we feedback to the hotel that the cook should not have added salt to the scrambled eggs. Love the waffles. Staff are friendly and attend to queries and requests promptly. Hotel charge USD 10 per day for parking. Located next to highway so you can expect vehicle passing noise all night but I slept soundly though (I am a light sleeper) . I requested for non-highway facing room. The curtains are thick enough to block out most noise. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

Upon arrival we were not greeted or recognized as a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member. Maria - front desk attendant - never smiled or thanked us for choosing Marrriott. I offered my ID and CC and she didn’t thank me. She never made eye contact and just handed my ID and CC back to me. She didn’t offer us water bottles which I found out the next morning from the breakfast attendant and Emily, the morning front desk attendant, we should have received. We walked by the front desk at least 6 times while Maria was on duty - she never acknowledged us much less smiled at us. Terrible customer service. (NOTE: A week earlier we stayed at the Fairfield Inn Las Cruces and our experience was completely different. We were warmly greeted by Jason, thanked for staying at the property and for being loyal Bonvoy members and provided complimentary water. Additionally, every time we walked by the front desk in the Las Cruces property the attendant smiled, acknowledged us and asked if we needed anything.) When we arrived in our room at the Fairfield ElPaso there was a smell like dirty sneakers or socks. The toilet seat was broken but I give Marcelino, the maintenance attendant, a big thumbs up for quickly repairing. But the final straw was the $10 per night parking charge - what a rip off! My fault for not seeing this in the FINE PRINT when I made our reservation, but still. We have stayed at the Courtyard nearby previously and I checked and they still don’t charge for parking and neither do any of the other Marriott properties nearby including the TownePlace Suites right next door to the Fairfield. Bottom line - DO NOT STAY HERE… unless you like paying $10 for parking in a standard hotel parking lot and like feeling unwelcome.
