Great hotel if you are on business in the region.

There were many reviews that said the rooms were cleaned well and the staff took items away from European hotels, but that wasn't the case here. One female employee at the front desk is unfriendly. I had a lot of luggage, but it was difficult because there was no one to move the luggage. And you don't clean the bathtub? When I tried to take a bath, I couldn't because I had hair and curly hair (;;;;).

This was the third time in 6 months we stayed at the hotel. This time very disappointing. The normal large double bed was removed out of the room and two temporary narrow beds installed . The part of the carpet which was normally under the bed is now exposed inbetween the two beds and curled upwards, in the middle of the night my wife stumbled over the curl and fell. The excuse of the reception was if you would have complained the day before we would have given you an other room. This is totally unacceptable, the hotel is totally aware that they have made a change to the standard of the room and roomservice should check that the room is save and not with a curled up carpet. Totally inexcusable.

We visited the hotel for 5 nights. Initially, only rooms with no balcony were available, but upon request at the day of arrival they gave us a room with a balcony. We were impressed by how spacious and clean the room is. The parking area was very big. The people at the reception were very kind and attentive. We would definitely visit again!

I've stayed here many times for work pre pandemic, have stayed at the VdV twice in the past 6 weeks, alas the in room air-conditioning control no longer adjusts the temperature to a comfortable level. The reception staff explained the temperature is now set the same in every room with no adjustment possible. It was 30'c outside and winter duvets on the beds, room temp was 23'c which meant the 9 people I was travelling with (9 rooms) had an awful 3 night stay (way too hot). A note to the hotel, I suggest you allow individual room control again otherwise you'll stat losing custom. We are due for another business trip in 5 weeks (8 rooms), but will be staying elsewhere.

Had a one night stop over arrived 9.50pm restaurant closes at 10pm . Asked for dinner at the front desk , was shown the menu at check in and our order was taken at check in . Fantastic service many thanks . Lovely big comfy room too

We have just returned from Valk Enschede and we had high expectations. Unfortunately, Van der Valk Enschede did not give us what you expect from your chain. We had the Future Suite, spacious suite with a nice bathroom and steam cabin. Nice bath but we also considered that these baths are very difficult for a back patient to get out of, so this bath will also be difficult for older patients, the steam cabin is great but also very difficult for older people to understand. This steam cabin is also not properly maintained and mold is starting to form. The air conditioning works perfectly but cannot be used at night due to a lot of noise, so we had opened the window so the sound of the cars was a nuisance, but especially the night of 19 07 to 20 07 there was a lot of noise between us between 22:00 and 23:00 and between 02:30 and 03:45 on the terrace of their room by 7 young guests a party going on. 7 people in 1 room ???. The hotel is nice but when you enter the restaurant and for a young hotel of 3 years I found the seats dirty, the curtains full of dirty spots, also on the walls and ceilings. The breakfast is sufficient if everything is replenished, but as in other hotels of yours I can see no one who took charge. No welcome morning to give your room number or whether you had paid for breakfast or not. As a big Van der Valk fan it was my duty to report this and hope that you will not go along with everything more expensive but less quality and cut back on staff and cleaning. It also surprised me that this hotel did not ask if the room had to be cleaned or not? What I wonder is also why everything was replenished in the past, 2 bottles of water, coffee and tea and soap etc ..., should you be punished because you reserve multiple nights? You also pay for the other days but the service is suddenly less. Then you can rather reserve every night, get 2 drinks and get a 5 euro bonus each time.

Restaurant fine. Nice lunch. Good breakfast. But room was very bad. No wifi. Broken television. Crooked bed Despite lowest thermostat setting (18 degrees), temperature above 25 degrees in room. (Outside 12 degrees). Sliding window/door but opened. That helped but noise from highway next to hotel. Strange yellow beetles that walked through the room. Caught, and flushed down the toilet. Coffee making facility. But no power outlet for it next to coffee machine. Offer on suitcase shelf. But no lighting there, so you always have to shine with your phone. Had booked and paid for 2 nights, but fled home after 1 night. Have slept in many vd Valk hotels, and always been satisfied. But I think this is the worst in the Netherlands. Go here for a nice meal. But stay far away from the hotel.

Enjoy a nice dinner with 3 couples, it's fun! The food was fine, but yes, the Saltimboca was a letdown... 2 tiny rolls that most resembled a slave. And that for € 25.50. That is unworthy of Van der Valk.

Bus stop in front of the hotel. Excellent reception. Nice and spacious room. The restaurant also looks cozy and has friendly and fast service. Slept well. Good breakfast. What else do you want ?

Very spacious room, neatly maintained, everything available. Very extensive breakfast buffet, spacious restaurant, good kitchen. "Quality has its price", and that means that you can pay a lot of money. The hotel is certainly worth its 4 stars.

Beautiful and very neat hotel with many extras. We have stayed in many hotels over the years, but Van de Valk in Enschede is one of the most beautiful and luxurious rooms/apartments in which we have slept. We received a penthouse as a gift for 1 night. With sauna and very luxurious bathroom. Living room with sofa and dining area with 8 chairs. 2 large flat screens, 1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom. Room service is available. The kitchen in the penthouse is fully equipped. Large balcony around the entire penthouse with a view over a large part of Enschede. Breakfast is fantastic too. Lots of choice for everyone. Before this, a deposit of 200 euros must be paid when booking a penthouse. This is understandable and we think it is due to the bad experiences of the hotel. When checking out of the hotel, you are requested to take a seat to check the penthouse for damage or destruction. Here one can at least give the guest a cup of coffee or something similar. to offer. We didn't like this, isn't this covered by withholding the deposit? Furthermore, a wonderful experience richer to spend the night in luxury.
