Der Aufenthalt an sich war sehr schön.
Das Zimmer jedoch recht klein, und der Parkplatz musste seperat mit 20 Euro gezahlt werden.
Ausserdem fab es keine Wasserflasche im Zinmer, was bei einem so guten Hotel eigentlich erwartet wird.
Ansonsten war es sehr sauber und ordentlich

Unser Familienzimmer war sehr großzügig und sauber. Bad war auch größer, als in den Standard-Doppelzimmern der Hotelkette. Obwohl direkt zur Hauptverkehrsstraße gelegen, blieb die Lärmbelastung (bei geschlossenen Schallschutzfenstern) absolut erträglich und wir konnten bestens schlafen. Die Nähe zum Hauptbahnhof und in die Innenstadt, verbunden mit dem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, war für uns die perfekte Kombination. Wir empfehlen dieses Hotel für einen Städtetrip in die sehenswerte Landeshauptstadt.

Great location, literally 2 minutes on foot to the Erfurt Cathedral. Great breakfast, good variety, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff.
The room itself is not what one will expect from a 4-stars-hotel. Absolutely uncomfortable, cold, old furniture which doesn't suit to such a hotel. Horribly noisy, basically you can hear your neighbours, awful! Not to mention the old noisy a/c! No coffee maker or at least a kettle in the room! Instead you're kindly asked to go to the reception and buy coffee or any drinks from the vending machine. And please, people, check the tissues package! If there are only several tissues left, then you'd better change the whole package instead of waiting till it's empty...or am I wrong?!
During my next trip to Erfurt I will definitely try another hotel to compare it, this one gets from me the lowest possible mark!

Modern design hotel near Erfurt main train station, and a short walk to old city center. Standard double room was simple but comfortable, very clean, with good beds and bathroom. Nice staff, but check-in process seemed a little slow - we had to queue up for some minutes despite there were not so many guests awaiting check-in. Breakfast was good (buffet) but a little crowded .

Wir haben uns wieder auf die Spuren deutscher Geschichte gemacht und sind dieses Mal nach Weimar gekommen. Das Hotel konnten wir über Personights buchen und hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Der Empfang war herzlich und das Zimmer top ausgestattet - es ist alles neu und gut durchdacht. Das Frühstück war zwar übersichtlich, jedoch für unsere Belange völlig ausreichend. Die Damen vom Frühstücksservice waren sehr liebenswert. Der junge Mann, der abends die Bar schmeißt, hat uns gut beraten und konnte uns auch überraschen. Schade, dass wir spontan früher abreisen mussten. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert und die Gegend sowieso!! Vielen Dank an das Team!

Cet hôtel est très agréable, calme et idéalement situé pour se promener à pied dans Weimar. Le personnel de la réception est adorable et globalement, le service est excellent, tout comme le petit déjeuner. Le voiturier est un plus indéniable pour ceux qui, comme moi, ont la flemme d'aller se garer au parking public juste en face où des places sont réservées. La chambre était bien aménagée et relativement spacieuse, le lit confortable. Le savon et le gel douche sentaient délicieusement bon. Les moins : - pas de prises pour charger téléphones, tablette, PC etc., ou alors elles étaient tellement bien cachées que je ne les ai pas vues. J'ai dû charger dans la salle de bains, un appareil après l'autre ; - la salle de bains datait un peu. Le gros moins qui me pousse à ne donner qu'une note de 3, c'est mon immense déception de la Saint Nicolas. Habituée à séjourner dans des hôtels en Allemagne pendant l'Avent, c'est la TOUTE première fois qu'au matin du 6 décembre, il n'y avait pas une petite attention devant la porte de ma chambre. Partout où je suis allée, à Lübeck, à Brême, à Hanovre, à Munich, à Nuremberg, à Stuttgart, à Ludwigsburg, à Hamburg, à Sarrebruck etc., j'ai toujours eu le grand bonheur en ouvrant la porte de ma chambre le matin de trouver un père Noël en chocolat et/ou une pomme... Es tut mir Leid dass meine Enttäuschung die Note von 4 auf 3 runterpurzeln lässt...

Hotel Leonardo is located opposite Goethe's Ilmpark at 3.7km distance of Weimar railway station. The hotel was planned before the fall of the Berlin Wall by Interhotel DDR and opened in 1992. The hotel offers 294 rooms over 6 floors. Furnishings and decoration provide a pleasant and up-to-date atmosphere. There is a bar, restaurant & indoor pool. In July 23 the sauna wasn’t open. Service is friendly. We had a quiet room at floor 3, backside. Our nicely furnished room had desk & chair, hot-water facility for tea, TV, wardrobe, air-conditioning, complimentary mineral water, and 2 very good twin-beds. We had a bathroom with washbasin, toilet & shower over the bath. Window can be opened in safety mode. Good Wi-Fi. All was very clean. A good buffet breakfast is served: scrambled eggs & hard boiled eggs, bread & rolls, small croissants, cold-cuts & cheese, butter & marmalade, juices & fresh fruits, cereals, milk & yoghurts, tea & coffee. Hotel Leonardo is a comfortable hotel. Recommended.

PPengguna TetamuThey can barely speak English at reception, which is fine unless there is a problem with your room. We booked a non- comfort room with bfast for 126 euro. No refrigerator, no a/c, ok. Got it. A couple of days before our booked night, the upgraded comfort room was advertised for 103 euro. I messaged gore kindly asking them if they would consider an upgrade for us since comfort room was now over 20 euro cheaper. NO REPLY. Ok.. check in and they weren’t going to upgrade us even though hotels was no where near full in this Sunday evening. Fine. No problem. They give us room in old building with a fan. Fine. Problem is that Wi-Fi isn’t working- we complained.. they reset it. Still doesn’t work.. goes on then off.. hard to conduct any business needing Wi-Fi. Eric and female at desk have no sympathy and don’t care. They say we can come to bar and use Wi-Fi there. Well, doesn’t that defeat purpose of saying the hotel has Wi-Fi in room?

I had to work at booking this hotel because finding and then using their website is quite challenging. Getting the various pages to present in English is the first hurdle. However, it was worth it . I booked an apartment on the third floor. It was just great….. lovely and well-equipped kitchen and bath, living room, dining area. Very clean and all updated. Super quiet. The reception staff was helpful and pleasant. The location was very convenient within walking distance of the sights, train station (10 minutes), and a shopping center on Anger with everything you might need. I wouldn’t bother with their restaurant. It’s pretentious and the food isn’t worth the money. I would very readily stay here again in an apartment.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed in this hotel on two separate nights bookending a trip to Frankfurt. This hotel is not - in our experience - typical of the Mercure brand. Far too often Mercure's are in good locations but somewhat rundown, tired and in need of attention. This is quite the opposite. It appears to have been wholly refurbished in the last five years, it is looked after. The hotel is conveniently situated near to both the old town and the main, new shopping area, both being no more than five minutes walk away. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the railway station or (for us) a €10 taxi ride. There is paid for car parking if required. This is a deceptively large hotel, the short frontage belies the fact that it has 141 rooms. The hotel stretches back from its frontage - we felt it was long and not very wide. It is spread over four floors and possibly an attic. We were on the fourth floor for our first visit and on the first floor for the second. Entry into the hotel from the street leads to a small reception area with ottoman seating. Screened from reception is a small bar and another soft seating area. The bar had elusive opening times - but seemed not to operate before 18:00 hours. Service was good. There is a restaurant that is not the breakfast room but that was not open during our stay with no sign of opening on the horizon. All public areas were clean, tidy and well maintained, albeit with a Alpine overtone! Access to the upper floors is via dedicated lifts or stairs depending upon the location of the room, with some rooms there is quite a walk to the lift. There is a small garden and paved area with seating. We saw no specific provision for disabled access but believe that the hotel is easy enough to negotiate. There is a separate breakfast room which works very well albeit it is not large. It is at the furthest end of the hotel from reception and bypasses some of the meeting rooms. Whilst these rooms were used during our stays we experienced no difficulties. We took breakfast early and the restaurant was never full or cramped. Breakfast is generous but prettty standard continental fare. Our first room (413) was a standard room and disappointing although it was clean and well cared for. Our second room however (136) was an upgrade and provided exceptional space and comfort for a reasonable price. Had we been able to satisfactorily understand the room descriptions and attributes on the website a room such as 136 would have been our preference. It had a large and comfortable double bed, a small seating area with table, a separate desk along with the usual accessories of a safe, TV, wifi etc. We didn't try the TV but everything else worked. There is no aircon but there is very effective radiator heating. We can imagine that opening the windows for some rooms would produce a great deal of street noise, but both our rooms were towards the rear of the hotel and quiet. There was no noise from the corridor or between roo

Extremely comfortable and not noisy, despite being in the rail station square. Clean and well maintained. Room price gives free travel within Erfurt (bus, tram, both very close). Extremely good breakfast (cereals, breads, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, bacon sausage and scrambled eggs, croissants, cake, cold meats, cheese). Tip: the Senior Citizen rate includes breakfast, also for a younger partner.
