An incredible stay at the Hotel Ploes. If I could give this hotel a 6 stars I would. Everything about our stay was absolutely perfection! The hotel is so beautiful, the rooms so large and extremely comfortable and the bathrooms fantastic! We had a king size bed with wonderful linens and 18’ ceilings. The bathroom was marble and complete with 2 shower heads. These is a restaurant on the back of the hotel (for guest only most of the time) and the food is not only absolutely delicious but beautifully prepared. The bar stays open until midnight and the view over the water is just gorgeous! The staff and owners and some of the nicest and friendliest I’ve met.

This was an extremely satisfying experience with very personal service in a peaceful, residential environment. We also enjoyed being a few steps from the sea. It’s not the cheapest but it offers very high value. We enjoyed the Greek art surroundings, particularly the classic Cyclades sculptures.

Fantastic Hotel with an amazing sea view. The room is great, the staff is incredible, super friendly and professional! Excellent service. The hotel is in the centre so you can walk easily, it is very safe and pleasant! We loved our experience in Syros!!

My sister and I spent 3 nights at Hotel Ploes and couldn’t be happier with our experience. In particular, we were impressed with Constantine and Tassos, both of whom were extremely helpful, accommodating, charming and knowledgeable. When we had to leave early to take the ferry on the day of our departure, they even packed us a beautiful breakfast to go! If you are looking for a place to stay in Syros, you won’t be disappointed in choosing Hotel Ploes. It felt like coming home to family when returning every night. ❤️

Excellent. Charming people, beautiful building, interesting art (in a good way) and faultless service. A feather pillow option would have been good but otherwise faultless…and what a view…Syros in the spring takes some beating, perfect

An amazing jewel of a hotel!!! The building, the interior, the views the service are all magical! A friend at a table near our at a restaurant invited us to drink back at the hotels terrace bar and talked about them coming for years…we were staying in Kini at the time but having dinner in ermoupoli that evening with plans to stay in town later in our trip…we immediately changed our reservations to spend three days based at the ploes and didnt regret…from our amazing suite with private terrace to swimming in the harbor off the hotel’s private dock…oh what a time!

My wife and I have stayed in some truly outstanding hotels in our time but the Hotel Ploes would be up there with the very best. It literally felt like our home. The warmth of the team, attention to detail and overall personal service was very special. The artistic theme throughout the hotel also helps bring a peaceful mood. The setting is stunning and the experience truly inspirational- not a word one would typically use for such an experience. Exceptional - don’t miss it.

Hotel Ploes is a beautiful hotel. It is a renovated mansion, within just a couple of blocks from city center (i.e. less than 5 minute walk) but beautifully situated right on the water. I arrived late at night after the late ferry from Athens and was greeted at the entrance with a welcome drink and candies. The lobby area is magnificent. My room faced the water and had a spa (jacuzzi and sauna) within the room; it was a suite with a living room and a loft bedroom. The living room windows looked out over the water. Very, very luxurious. Breakfast was served in their cafe terrace, it was absolutely delicious. The weather was lovely but very windy, which prohibited swimming from the swimming deck - my goal is to go back when the water is calmer. Service was extraordinary in every way. I highly recommend the hotel and I highly recommend visiting the island of Syros.

Most of the good reviews about this hotel we found to be true. A lovely grand renovated building in a great location with a swimming platform which gets the morning sun and afternoon shade. Our stay was very comfortable and I would particularly highlight the breakfast and the breakfast staff. Ilias makes the best coffee we have had throughout our many travels in Greece. Mathew is the best for recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. Three to four days is an adequate stay in Syros which allows time for you to explore the main town with its marble paved roads and neoclassical architecture; and Ano Syros with its narrow alleyways and thousands of steps; as well as visit nearby beaches- Kini being the best. [tip: Artisti PROZYMI, located on the main square, for the best spanakopita in Ermoupoli]
