Mar Hall Golf & Spa Resort

Afternoon tea was delicious, service was very good ,only criticism, would have preferred a table and comfortable chairs rather than a low table with squishy sofas to sit on. The sandwiches and cakes however were excellent , especially the scones , served with delicious cream and choice of jams. Very scenic venue and on a good day some lovely grounds to wander through.

Having stayed at the Mar Hall previously we recommended this hotel to our friends for a 4 Night break to meet up equidistant from home and we were not disappointed. From first impressions driving into the private grounds overlooking the River Clyde to being welcomed by Allan the Concierge and the Reception Team who checked us in quickly and made us feel at home to dining in the beautiful main dining room everything felt clean, comfortable and cared for. Large well appointed comfortable rooms (we had a deluxe double and our friends were upgraded to a Junior Suite with amazing views over the golf course to the River Clyde and the Hills beyond). We loved every minute of our our stay and our friends were "wowed" by the hotel, and its setting as well as the food and friendly staff. Being so close to Glasgow, the Clyde Valley as well as Loch Lomond and the Trossachs it was a fantastic base to explore the area knowing we would return for an enjoyable evening catching up over a lovely dinner and after dinner drinks served either in the bar or the great hall. Allan the Concierge, was exceptional, going above and beyond to help when I had a flat tyre and he ensured we were quickly back on the road again. We highly recommend the Mar Hall, its a wee hidden Gem with welcoming, friendly staff, offering a true scottish welcome. We will definitely be going back, and you cant get a better recommendation than that!!!

An absolute gem. The only downside to this place is you don't want to leave. Scottish hospitality at its finest. The grounds are just stunning and although their is a big refurbishment going on it didn't affect my stay one bit. Arlene on the front desk was absolutely amazing and the young staff in the bar and restaurant really give a five Star warm service. The Golf course although very testing is a cracker ! Very scenic but not forgiving.... greens are excellent and well kept but you could be anywhere in the world with the scenery. Can't wait to be back 🙌

Spent 3 night here and had an incredible stay! The room, grounds, staff, and food were 5 stars! We were sad to leave but ot was a perfect base to get our bearings after a very long flight.

What a difference we went 5 years ago it was a disaster . Jump forward to today what a difference , smiling faces great food and drink . nothing was to much trouble . Cannot wait to see it when they finish the refurbishments . Thanks to all .

A return visit to Mar Hall and it was very pleasing to see major improvements have been made and with further inves**ents to be made , All the staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome . All really outgoing and very knowledgeable. Food was 1st class for both dinner and breakfast .

I had my husband’s wake Elaine made this tailored made for all my request including help for disabled guests including me it was seamless and very professional amazing service food excellent highly recommend for any event just consult with Elaine to make sure your event is everything you want

Treated like royalty, yet felt like family, during my delightful stay at Mar Hall! Our room was beautifully decorated and spacious, with a lovely garden view. Our dining room experience was delightful and every meal delicious. But I must say that it was the hospitality of the staff that made the experience amazing and memorable! From Alan, the Concierge, to the front desk and dining staff, we were attended to and never left wanting! We look forward to returning and highly recommend Mar Hall to others!

Absolutely exceptional in every way! We were picking up family from the airport and booked here last minute after delays and were sooo pleasantly surprised! We stayed in a deluxe double room and it was incredible! Had stunning windows, lovely furnishings and a super comfortable bed. The staff really made the whole experience though! Alan (concierge) and Arlene (front desk) especially were so kind and helpful. Can’t wait to stay here again!
