Hotel Coral Beach by Mij - All Inclusive

I came here in May when they had only been open a few days. I was with friends ranging from 26-59 and every one of us had a lovely time. Negatives - slow check in process, however it seemed Tui had really pushed some good deals and so everyone was arriving from the same flights. Aircon not very good. Positives - Clean and comfortable rooms. More than enough sun beds to go round. San Miguel on all inclusive and a good choice of cocktails. Staff all hard working. Plenty food choices even the vegan among us found plenty variety. Nice area with plenty restaurants and bars close by. Regular bus service to other parts of the island.

Friendly Hotel. Disability friendly. Food is great for a 3 star hotel, always something to eat. Snack bar food cooked to order. Very clean and rooms cleaned everyday. Entertainment set up for kids but plenty to do in resort. We would like to say a big thankyoy to Antonio, Maria, The man who cooks for the snack bar. And all the bar staff and domestic staff. There is a mix of English and Spanish café and restaurants. Everything you need in a resort. You must go on the land train, goes twice a day and only 20 euros PP. You can go around the mountains or the beaches.

Having read some of the reviews since the hotel reopened in May I was a bit concerned that this might be the first bad Tui holiday we’ve had but everything was fine. Even the weather was great all week. Great location, short walk to beach and cafes, shops etc. We stayed all inclusive and felt we got our moneys worth. Some of the bar men were over generous with the spirits and the drinks were really too strong for me so I had to tell them I only wanted a small amount. We stayed on 1st floor overlooking pool and the room was always cleaned for us with fresh towels etc. The food was plentiful but a bit “samey”. Chinese night was the best with spring rolls, sweet and sour, prawn crackers etc. the fruit juices and breakfasts were fine. Cornettos, lollies and poolside snacks were much appreciated. Our only negatives were NOT down to the hotel but to parents who allowed their kids to run in the busy restaurant which was very dangerous with people carrying hot food and drinks and also jumping and diving in the pool over adults heads when signs said no jumping or diving. The toddler pool seemed well used by little ones. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Ute on reception. The Tui Rep was sweet too and didn’t mind that we didn’t book excursions through her which some Reps don’t like. Thank you to all the staff!

We stayed here for 2 weeks in May. Hotel extremely clean, rooms basic and could of done with a fridge and kettle in the room witgout habing to pay extra for this facility. Location spot on! Yes there were some teething problems where the hotel had been closed for winter and change over of ownership. But the staff bend over backwards to sort any problems. Food is hit and miss in being cooked properly. Best is the Snack Bar. We stayed here last year for a week in September and was extremely shocked to witness people racing at 8am-8.30am to reserve sunbeds around the pool. (Of which people then did not return to use them til lunchtime or later. Aswell as them reserving the same beds day in day out) These people were British which was ashamed to be British. Some extremely selfish people out there. Staff at the Bar work so hard and are so friendly. Sambuca Barman remembered us from last year which was nice. Carla Entertainment Lady, omg she is just awesome! She works so hard and very long hours. Such a nice human being and a real credit to the hotel. This Hotel is spot on for location 2 mins from beach and supermarkets and 5-10min walk into Es Canar. This Hotel is 3* and for what we pay for all inclusive is a bargain! It is not 5* or the Ritz. The location and Staff make it 5*

This is a solid value 3 star option. If you are looking for the insta experience, this hotel is not for you. If you want a very traditional 3-star experience, this is a solid option. We were here in half term, so as you would expect, the hotel was busy. Allocated room 323, good sized room, balcony with side sea view/road, and a reasonable bathroom with shower over bath. Beds comfortable, extra pillows and blankets in cupboard. Dove soap, shower gel, and shampoo in large fixed bottles in the bathroom. Soft, fluffy towels were replaced regularly by the cleaner who came daily. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean. No fridge in room. Walls are thin - had a noisey family next door on our last night which was frustrating. The pool area isn't huge but there are lots of sunbeds. Some are under the bows of two pine trees providing natural shade. The doors to the pool area are padlocked shut, stopping the 6am race to put towels down. The first three days people were very relaxed about beds but by the Thursday the normal large groups reserving beds together and not using them for hours had crept in. That said, we got two beds in our preferred position every day. Not sure what it would be like in August? Drinks are served in a plastic reusable cup that you pay €1 deposit for. Take them to your room! You still get a clean cup each time you go to the bar! This seemed to upset some people, but I've seen the practice elsewhere, and if nothing else, it keeps the pool area clean and tidy. Really wide selection of local drinks in the AI, happy with choice and taste. The best bonus was the ice creams and lollies available from the bar on your AI! Unusual at this level of hotel. Food was good for what we paid. There was always something to eat. The grill had good meat and fish. Some themed nights, too. Breakfast choice is very good. Husband rated the sausages! Fresh bread rolls that were warm. Location of hotel good. At the back of the hotel, a promenade winds round to the beach (turn right out of front door and head to the sea). Good starting point for running. The beach is a small, sandy bay. Think it was €18 for two sunbeds and an umbrella. The town itself is small and has small selection of bars and restaurants. Hippy market twice a week, walkable from hotel. Heard complaints about lack of entertainment on the hotel but feel this was unfair; there was something every day and evening - the kids club staff worked very hard and seemed popular. If entertainment is important to you you may need to consider paying more. Overall I would say this is a good hotel at it's price point and rating. Had a lovely relaxing week! Would return.

This hotel is in a brilliant location near 2 beaches within walking distance and afew bars and shops easy to get too. The hotel is clean and tidy inside and out. Food was ok things for everyone to eat. The staff are really nice the check in was quite long and needed to pay room tax which we didn't know about before qe arrived. All in all good hotel for a week

Great hotel for 3 stars. We were 2 adults & 4 kids. We had room 213 & 214. Rooms were great and not much noise. Apart from outside when bottles weee getting emptied in to trash truck, I always take ear plugs with me. Kids love their holiday, loved the slushes, the cornetos & ice lollies. €1 a cup works a treat, means not loads of empty cups lying around. We gave the barmen the €10 to keep at the end of our holiday. Breakfast was really good, lunch was ok however evening meals were slightly disappointing. We ate out twice in the evening, we took part in the evenings entertainment a couple of nights. All the staff were very pleasant & helpful. The early breakfast on the day of departure was extremely disappointing. However for what we paid for the holiday it was well worth it & we were definitely return for a family holiday.

Horrendous hotel and facilities. Fully aware it is 3 star so wasn’t expecting total luxury however was moved rooms 3 times due to the balcony doors being faulty and not locking. Also none of the rooms had working air con and management said it’s a known issue as it’s an old building so nothing could be done. Not ideal the room being 29 degrees all night with a baby!! The baby pool is absolutely vile, cloudy murky water can barely see the bottom. Again manager said they are waiting on a filter part. Food was as expected for 3 star however the dining room is very chaotic. Staff at reception were not professional throughout. Avoid at all costs especially if travelling with a baby! We moved to 3 star TUI Suneo caribe after 2 days of coral beach and the experience has been night and day!

Went here as single parent with my 10 year old son, lovely hotel rooms always cleaned well, pool was great and my son loved the football pitch. Entertainment staff 10/10 brilliant with kids kept my son occupied to give me a break and they were so friendly. Another big plus no queuing for sunbeds never had a problem getting a bed all holiday. Food was good always a lot of choice and restaurant staff helpful and polite. Coming back next year thanks again Coral beach for the memories xx
