Alua Village Fuerteventura - All Inclusive

Booked a week here with a sea view. On arriving we were allocated our room and shown a map of how to get to the room. We were advised about safe hire towel hire etc and given 2 tokens for drinks, the lady on reception explained we needed to exchange these for glasses at the pool bar. At no point did she explain or offer an upgrade of the facilities which we later found disappointing because we certainly would have considered it. Special mention to Josi on reception who was extremely helpful and friendly. We eventually found our room. The room was very spacious and clean. Cleaned daily with fresh towels. The beds are super comfy. The sea view I personally wouldn’t recommend as it was overlooked by roofs from other rooms. I don’t personally think it was worth paying extra. Food and drink. The food was nice and we found something to eat every day. Not very impressed with the cocktails as they were from a machine, however there was plenty of choice for other drinks. Overall the food and drink was good quality. The pool area. The pool area was lovely. Plenty of sun beds and the view was amazing. The animation team were a little annoying at times with the odd burst of loud music followed by a short mostly french commentary on the days schedule, but they were very friendly and not pushy when trying to get people involved. Beach. Beach was absolutely beautiful but be advised it’s a bit of a steep walk back up. Not a problem for us but maybe for the less mobile. Sun beds we 5 euro each and 5 euro if u wanted an umbrella. 2 beach bars close by that were reasonably priced. We had a few lovely days at the beach. Evening entertainment. The evening entertainment was geared towards the French certainly, however the team did there best to involve everyone. We found it mostly a bit boring. The best night was the karaoke when everyone seemed to get involved and enjoyed it. On conclusion we had a lovely holiday and aren’t the type of people to moan about silly little things like a cracked tile or seeing cats around the hotel! We quite enjoyed seeing the few cats that we saw on our way to the room and back. I’d say this hotel is a really good 3 star and we definitely got what we paid for. I’d definitely consider returning if it came up again at the right price

We had an amazing time at this hotel. The reception team welcomed us especially Angel, and explained everything. The bedrooms were really spacious, but with quite minimalistic storage, however we managed with the 3 of us. The food was lovely, with themed meals that catered for even the fussiest of eaters. The beach was a 10 minute trek down an inclined rugged path, but well worth the walk. The hotel is very French based but all languages were catered for. Every day staff would come to the sunbeds chat to us and inform what was happening and at what times, but never pushy ( thanks Ozz). Evening entertainment was good and followed by a disco every night where all ages got up and danced. It was so nice to see how continental ages dance. The bar moved really quickly, I think pouring your own wines and prosecco helped alot. The barstaff were friendly too ( Marlon) We will miss Sara's enthusiastic energy too, she made us laugh every day. The pools were cold when you initially got in, refreshing once you were in, but this is probably due to the strong winds. We went as ' My Favourite ' which we found well worth the extra. Lastly, the Spa was really nice and we used it alot.

The beds were uncomfortable althought the rest of the expirience was okay. The pools outside were too cold to swim in for the time of year. It is about a 10 minute walk from the beach. Staff did not speak english well although they were helpful even with the limited understanding.

The was our first time to fuerteventura and we honestly had an amazing holiday. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We felt everyone went above and beyond from the reception, bar, restaurant and entertainment team throughout our stay. Christmas Day was so Special we even saw the manager ensuring everyone was happy. There is a lot of French speaking but they do also speak Spanish and English. The food is fantastic it taste great and they had themed nights each night was a different region of food. Christmas night was spectacular the presentation of the food was WOW. The indoor pool is great along with the gym, sauna and steam room closed at 6 would have been nice until 7pm but it was ok. The spa was lovely I had a massage twice the ladies where very good. There is plenty of activities to do throughout the day which was great for our teenage daughter to have a choice if we wanted join in or not and just chill. Lastly the beach is gorgeous but be prepared for an uphill walk back and the views are stunning from the hotel which we never got bored of. Shout out to Sheila who always had a smile on her face and was always welcoming to us and had lots of local knowledge. Highly recommend this hotel and we will be back next year

Just returned from a fabulous week at Alua Village. Yes, the bedroom and bathroom were a little dated (certainly not 4 star), but the rooms, main building and the outside areas were spotlessly clean. At the end of the day, the bedroom was just for sleeping. We had a fantastic balcony with a great sea view. Yes, the pool could do with some maintenance, but the water was clean and there were plenty of sunbeds. The employees made our holiday special, and customer service was definitely 5 star. The food was amazing. People who say it was repetitive clearly only went for the pizza, chips or pasta. During our stay we had fresh salad every day and dishes that included chicken, beef, pork, rabbit, liver, mussels, clams, prawns, squid, salmon, hake, and an array of locally caught fish etc. There were themes on some evenings. The Italian risotto was delicious. The all inclusive alcohol was great. The daytime entertainment was varied, although the evening entertainment (all in french) wasn't anything special. However, it was great just to sit outside and enjoy an evening G&T. The beach was great, but, as others have said, it's a steep walk up and down and impossible for those with mobility issues. However, once on the beach, there was a great little beach bar, and the sea was very safe for swimming. Would I recommend Alua Village? Absolutely and would go there again. We had a relaxing time and were thoroughly looked after.

Good hotel and value for money. If you wanted to, you could find faults, but this applies to most hotels, however for the money we paid we couldn't fault it. Do your homework as it may not suit everyone especially if you have mobility issues. We were very happy with the staff and house keeping was excellent. Loved the location and the beaches are fabulous, never used the pool area. We would happily go back
